Ernest D. Fearer
Ernest D. Fearer, 66, of Jefferson Street, Medina, Ohio, and formerly of Waynesburg, Pa., died Friday, July 7, 2000, in Whispering Hills Care Facility, Mount Vernon, Ohio.
He was born Dec.4, 1933, in New Salem, son of Frank Fearer and Marie Crago Fearer. He spent his early life in New Salem and Waynesburg. He had lived in Medina, Ohio, for the past 30 years.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Medina, Ohio, where he was an active member. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as a machinist for Ohio Jacobson Company for several years.
His wife, Peggy Owen Fearer, died November 7, 1994. His parents are also deceased.
Surviving are a brother and sister-in-law: Ronald and Carma Fearer of Mount Vernon, Ohio; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law: John and Jane Owen of Waynesburg; three nephews: Brian Fearer and Kevin Fearer, both of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Jonathan Owen of Waynesburg ; one niece, Jill Owen of Waynesburg.
Friends will be received in the MILLIKEN AND THROCKMORTON FUNERAL HOME, Waynesburg, on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 12, until 11 a.m., the hour of service, with the Rev. William Cunningham officiating.
Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, where military honors will be accorded by V.F.W. Post 4793, James Farrell American Legion Post 330, and Disabled American Veterans Post 123 all of Waynesburg.

Aleta E. Honse
Aleta E. Petrovich Honse, 49, of Uniontown, Pa., died Saturday, July 8, 2000, in Beverly Healthcare Center, Uniontown.
She was born September 19, 1950, in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of George Petrovich and Wanda Renner Petrovich.
She was a 1970 graduate of Uniontown High School and was a Sales Representative in the automotive department of Sears.
A brother, James Petrovich, a sister, Tanya Shallenberger, and her father, George Petrovich, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her mother, Wanda Renner Petrovich of Uniontown; a daughter, Jennifer Honse and Aaron Haines, a granddaughter, Amber Honse, and a grandson, Dusty Haines, all of Farmington, Pa.; two brothers: David Petrovich and his wife, Dorothy, and George Petrovich and his wife, Deborah, all of Uniontown; a sister, Alice Torbic and her husband, Gary, of Rices Landing, Pa.; many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, Uniontown, Pa., today from 2 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, July 11, until 9 a.m. at which time a Blessing Service will be held.
A Mass of Christian Burial follows in St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Jefferson Street, with Rev. Fr. William J. Kiel as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Service Society, 440 Rear Coal Valley Road, Clairton, PA 15025.

Allen S. Johns Sr.
Allen S. Johns Sr., 82, of Brownsville, Pa., died Friday evening, July 7, 2000, in Brownsville General Hospital.
He was born February 3, 1918, in Brownsville, Pa., son of Wallace Johns and Mary Thompson Johns.
He was a lifelong resident of Brownsville who worked as a Steward for Elks Lodge No. 1344 B.P.O.E. Brownsville and Custodian for the Brownsville Area School District all before retirement.
He was a graduate of Brownsville High School and a member of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in Brownsville.
Mr. Johns was predeceased by his parents, stepmother, Jeanette Johns, stepson, James Montgomery, a brother, Armon Johns, and a sister, Alice Taylor.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Johns; three children: Allen S. Johns Jr., Alexandria, Virginia, Germaine Settles, Brownsville, Pa., and Wallace Johns Sr. and wife Antoinette, Springfield, Ohio; three stepchildren: Sheila Jordan and Denise Salvi both of Maryland and Carlyle Carter, Minneapolis, Minnesota; 10 grandchildren; one sister, Arabelle Lancaster; two brothers; Paul 'Noodie' Johns and wife Bertha and Ronald 'Bunny' Johns and wife Geraldine all of Brownsville, Pa.; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Friends will be received in Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, Cadwallader St., Brownsville, today from 5 to 9 p.m. where Services will be held Tuesday, July 11, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Carl Kemp officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa., under direction of the MURIEL E. LANTZ FUNERAL HOME, 297 East Main St., Uniontown, Pa.

Luke M. Mankins
Luke M. 'Cy' Mankins, Point Marion, Pa.ís oldest resident, died at his home on Sunday, July 9, 2000, on his 95th birthday.
He was born in Cheat Haven, Pa., and was the son of Daniel Lee Mankins Sr. and Daisy Patterson Mankins.
He retired from Houze Glass Corporation in Point Marion and was formerly employed at Fancy Hill Coal Company in Lake Lynn.
His wife, Rose Brasseur Mankins, died February 20, 1998. Also deceased are a son, Clement O. Mankins (1958), three brothers, Donald 'Bones' Mankins, Ralph Mankins, and Daniel Mankins Jr., two sisters, Miriam White and Catherine Graham, and his parents.
He is survived by his son, Aime W. Mankins of Point Marion, Pa.; daughter, Mrs. Robert (Maxine) Gross of Tennille, Georgia; and four grandchildren: Robert, Randall, Roseanne and Rebecca Gross.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, July 12, until 11 a.m., the hour of service with Rev. French Jenkins officiating.
Interment follows in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.

Philip E. Mascioli
Philip E. Mascioli, 77, of Lemoyne, who was born in Uniontown, Fayette County, Pa., died Sunday, July 9, 2000, in Manor Care, Camp Hill, Pa.
He was the former owner and operator of Philís Tailor Shop in Fairchance, Pa.
He is survived by three sons: P. Eugene Mascioli II of Harrisburg, Pa., Kenneth L. Mascioli of West Chester, Pa., and Richard S. Mascioli of Mechanicsburg, Pa.; brothers: Joseph Mascioli of Uniontown, Pa., and Anthony Mascioli of Connellsville, Pa.; a sister, Mary Catherine Mascioli Mansel of North Versailles, Pa.; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will held at First Church of The Brethren, Harrisburg, Pa., on Wednesday, July 12, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.
Arrangements are under direction of the Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland, Pa.

Douglas Ward Page
Douglas Ward Page, 43, of Greensburg, Pa., passed away Thursday, July 6, 2000, in Montefiore Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa., in the arms of his loving wife, Stephie, after a valiant 13-month battle.
He was born July 24, 1956, in Pittsburgh, Pa., son of Elinor Jean Smith DeVos Page and the late Merle K. DeVos.
He was raised by his stepfather, the late John R. Page.
Doug was an Estimator for State Farm Insurance in the Bethel Park area and also worked for Becker and Company of Carnegie, Pa.
A 1974 graduate of Norwin High School, Doug also received an Associate Degree from Vale Tech in Blairsville, Pa.
He was on the Board of Directors for the National Kidney Foundation of Western Pennsylvania where he was a gifted speaker.
He also volunteered and spoke for the CORE and TRIO organizations.
Doug was a member of Ardara United Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Stephanie Polink Page; two sons: Chad Page and his wife, Joanna, of Corsica, Pa., and Shawn Page of Clarion, Pa.; two grandchildren: Skybree and Chad; one sister, Dawn Baldinger and her husband, Jeff, of Whitehall, Pa.; two brothers: Dan Page and his wife, Cathy, of West Newton, Pa., and Darrill Page and his wife, Erin, of Norristown, Pa.; and two nieces: Rachel Baldinger and Amber Baldinger.
A memorial service was held in Ardara United Presbyterian Church, 3380 Nehrig Hill Road, Route 993, located half way between Irwin and Trafford, Pa., on Sunday, July 9, at 4 p.m. The Rev. Carlisle V. Lloyd officiated.
Friends are invited to join with the family for his Interment will be held Thursday, July 13, at 2 p.m. in St. Joseph Cemeteryís, Fairchance, Pa., followed by a reception at the residence of Steve and Mary Polink, 19 South Main Street, Fairchance, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Douglas Page Primary Nurse Care Program, Beckwith Institute, %Shadyside Hospital Foundation, 532 South Aiken Avenue, Suite 302, Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
Arrangements are under direction of the GOLDSBORO-TOMI FUNERAL HOME, 21 East Church St., Fairchance.

Carolyn Ann Parker
Carolyn Ann Ferek Parker, 73 of Keisterville Pa., passed away Sunday, July 9, 2000 at home. Born March 20, 1927 in Keisterville the daughter of Stanley Waiter Ferek and Carolyn Ferek. She was preceded in death by her borthers Waiter Ferek, Frank Ferek, and Stanley Ferek and sisters Stella Partyka and Mary Clemmons. Her parents are deceased.
Carolyn was a member of Saint Casimer Roman Catholic Church in Keisterville, she was a CCD teacher, a member of the Slovak Lodge #77 of McKeesport, she worked at Gallatin Knitting Mill and the Berkowitz Shirt Factory.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 47 years Glen Edward Parker, her loving daughter Jeannette Carolyn Parker Podlogar and husband Timothy of Smock, a sister Wanda Opaka and husband Joseph of Chicago, Ill. a sister-in-law Blanche Ferek of Carmichaels, brother-in-law James Parker and wife Evelyn of Boston and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in STEPHEN E. KEZMARSKY III FUNERAL HOME, at 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown, on Tuesday July 11th from 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday July 12 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced in Tuesdayís edition.
Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Albert Gallatin Hospice.

Glenora Porter
Glenora Porter, 78, of Brownsville, Pa., passed away Sunday, July 9, 2000, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh.
Arrangements will be announced by the Dearth Funeral Home, 35 South Mill St., New Salem, Pa.

Helena Williams Rowe
Helena Williams Rowe, 53, of Carmichaels, Pa., who was born in San Francisco, Calif., died Saturday, July 8, 2000, at home.
She is survived by her mother, Edna May Wegman of Elkins, W.Va.; daughter, Jennifer Rowe of Palm Bay, Fla.; granddaughters: Malasia Rowe and Natasha Rowe; sisters: Janette Wise of Carmichaels, Pa., Barbara Williamson of Dilliner, Pa., and Deborah Lewis of Waynesburg, Pa.; and brothers: John Wegman of Elkins, W.Va., and Dennis Wegman of Yuma, Ariz.
It was Mrs. Roweís request that there be no public visitation or services.
Arrangements are under direction of the Paul Michael Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Ave., Carmichaels, Pa.
