Adam R. Anderson
(November 14, 1974 - December 25, 2011)

Adam R. Anderson, 37, a resident of Muncy, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011. Born in Williamsport, Lycoming County, PA, on Thursday, November 14, 1974, he was the son of Robert C. Anderson and Carol A. Winter. He was the husband of Jennifer (Laird) Anderson.

Adam was a 1993 graduate of Montgomery High School. He was employed as a mechanic by Pic Brothers Auto Sales at Muncy, PA.

Adam enjoyed playing pool and was a member of a local pool league. He was also an avid car and four-wheeler buff.

In addition to his wife, Adam is survived by his father, Robert C. Anderson, of Cogan Station; his mother and father, Carol A. and Daniel Griffith of Allenwood, PA; two sons, Brian A. Anderson; Seth M. Anderson; four half-brothers, Robert A. (Bianca) Bebble, Williamsport, PA; Christopher T. Bebble, Cleveland, OH; Matthew W. (Amy) Griffith, Allenwood, PA; Andrew C. Griffith, Jersey Shore, PA; one step-brother, Craig A. Griffith, Williamsport, PA; his maternal grandmother, Marjorie A. Winter, S. Williamsport, PA; his mother and father-in-law, Carl and Martha Laird, Muncy, PA; three brothers-in-law, Kevin Laird, Muncy, PA; Corey (Heather) Laird; Shawn Laird, Muncy, PA; one sister-in-law, Karen (Scott) Henry, Muncy, PA. Adam is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step-sister, Vanessa Griffith.

Funeral services will be conducted from the Galen R. Betzer Funeral Service, 108 North Main Street, Muncy, PA at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, December 30, 2011 with Reverend David Bixler, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church at Williamsport, PA, officiating. Interment will be in the St. John Lutheran "Brick" Cemetery, Clinton Twp., Lycoming County, PA. Friends may call on Thursday from 7:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Robert L. “Shorty” Likens

Robert L. “Shorty” Likens, 78, of Williamsport, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, at home.

Born March 8, 1930, in Muncy, he was a son of the late William B. and Helen E. (Dimm) Likens.

His wife of 45 years, the former Whilomean Tinney, died Aug. 25, 2000.

A 1948 graduate of Muncy High School, he enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1955 and served until December 1959. For many years he owned and operated Shorty’s Inn on Second Street in Williamsport.

He was a member of the Roland Ritter Post 268 American Legion, Muncy, the Edward Smith Post 3428 V.F.W., Muncy, the Harmonia Club, Williamsport, the 40 & 8 Club, Williamsport, and the Williamsport Moose Club. He was a charter member of the Piney Ridge Hunting Club.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Holly Likens of Ralston and David and Chrystal Likens of Maryland; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Lonnie Roedts of Cogan Station; one brother and sister-in-law, William and Joan Likens of Muncy; four grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Likens, who died May 12, 2000.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 5, at Grenoble’s, Muncy, with the Rev. Michael R. Gardy, pastor of First United Methodist Church, Muncy.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 10-11 a.m.

Burial with full military honors will be in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the Lycoming Unit American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.

George A. Reimensnyder
(March 15, 1931 - April 28, 2012)

George Arthur Reimensnyder, 81, of Milton RD, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2012 at his home after a brief illness. Born March 15, 1931 at the homestead in Turbot Twp., he was the son of the late Arthur and Anna Rae Gaston Reimensnyder. He married the former Maxine Weatherill at Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville, June 8, 1951 and celebrated sixty years of marriage this past year.

George was a graduate of Milton High School, class of 1948. He was a farmer, building contractor and a musician. As a contractor he built log homes for Kuhns Brothers, many other homes in the area and lead disaster relief teams. He was a life-time musician, starting at the age of nine. His first family band was the Tumbleweed Troubadours, followed by Just Country, Laredo and Cross N Over. He called many square dances in the area in the old-time singing style. He was the National President of the American Folk Musicians Association for fifty years, since 1962 and was a member of AFMA District #11.

George was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Turbotville, for more than fifty years, serving as Sunday School Superintendent, four different terms on church council, served on Synod Parish Life Committee and sang in the choir. He was trip coordinator for the disaster relief team and was very active in trips and work for the needy. He was also a member of the Turbot Township Fire Company. George was a gentle, loving husband and father. He loved helping and entertaining people, he loved the land and working on it and serving the Lord in many ways. His goal was to work for the Lord, making people happy.

Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Reimensnyder Duncan of Cherokee, NC and Susan Ann Reimensnyder of Davenport, IA; a grandson, John Harper Duncan of Asheville, NC; a granddaughter, Pearl Louise Duncan and her husband Ricky Hernandez and a great grandson, Jorge Enrique Duncan Hernandez all of Franklin, NC; a sister-in-law, Beverly Weatherill Snuffer of Gladewater, TX; a nephew, Larry Gray, Sr. of Milton and many cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Reimensnyder and a niece, Marie Reimensnyder Gray.

Family and Friends are invited to call from 6 to 7 PM Monday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where the funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM with Rev. Erwin C. Roux officiating. Burial in Millville Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family will provide flowers and suggest contributions in George’s memory be made to Zion Scholarship Fund or the Disaster Relief Team, Zion Lutheran Church, PO Box 277, Turbotville, PA 17772.

George E. Gray
(July 14, 1938 - May 22, 2012)

George E. Gray, 73, of Susquehanna Trail, Muncy, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at his home.

Born July 14, 1938 in Dewart, he was the son of the late Stephen E. and Martha (Burrows) Gray. He married Angel Gray on July 10, 2010 and they had celebrated a year and 9 months of marriage.

George retired from American Home Products, Milton, where he had worked a number years.

He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His hobbies included working outside on many different projects, wood working and most of all fishing the areas local streams.

Surviving besides his wife, are two daughters and son-in-law: Pamela L. and her husband Michael Sherman of Portage, Ind., Nancy E. Anderson and her companion Lee Long of Northumberland; a brother and sister-in-law: Steven and his wife Diane Gray of Watsontown, three sisters: Virginia and her husband Pick Reynolds, Lena and husband Lester Reynolds both of Watsontown, Rollanda Dee Frazier of Williamsport; a step-son: Robert R. Padgett of Muncy, two step-daughters: Nakara R. and Kimberly L. Padgett both of Owego, NY, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

George was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary E. (Hack) Gray (2008).

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Marie Crawford

Marie Crawford, 86, formerly of Watsontown, died Oct. 28, 2008, at the Hillside Assisted Living Center, Montoursville, where she resided the past two years.

Born April 13, 1922, in McEwensville, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Margaret (Young) Hughes.

Her husband of 51 years, Wilbur M. Crawford, died April 1, 2008.

Following graduation from Watsontown High School in 1942, she worked at the former Philco Ford in Watsontown until 1963, when she left to raise her family. She assisted her husband with chores around the farm and found time to crochet and quilt. She loved being a mother and was extremely dedicated to her family.

Surviving are one son, Edward W. Crawford of Avis; two daughters and sons-in-law, Doreen S. and Wayne Laubscher of Lock Haven and Lana M. and Richard Dworsak of Bloomsburg and two grandchildren, Courtney and Cameron Crawford.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Lewis C. Hughes.

Funeral services were held Oct. 31, at Grenoble’s, Muncy, with the Rev. Bethany P. Wood, pastor of Bethany United Methodist Church, Hughesville, officiating. Burial was in Muncy Cemetery.

Sadie S. Zook
(September 7, 1930 - April 23, 2012)

Sadie S. Zook, 80, of Jerseytown Rd., Bloomsburg, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012 at her home.

Born September 7th, 1930 in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Samuel E. and Rachel (Stoltzfus) King. She was married to John S. Zook who preceded her in death.

Services will be held Wednesday, at 12:30 PM at the Zook residence, 47 Jerseytown Rd. Bloomsburg. Burial will follow in Fisher's Amish Cemetery, rural Danville.
