Kay M. Hunt
REEDSVILLE - Kay M. Hunt, 62, of 4400 US Highway 322, Reedsville, died at 12:42 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin. Born Feb. 9, 1939, in Yeagertown, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Russell and Vivian Elizabeth (Spigelmyer) Hurlburt. Her husband, Robert S. Hunt, whom she married Sept. 29, 1956, survives. Also surviving are: sons, Robert S. Hunt Jr., Ogden, Iowa and Dale Alan Hunt, Ferguson Valley, Lewistown; stepmother, Grace Weiler, Milroy; brothers and sisters, Inice M. Hassinger, Yeagertown, Beverly Fogleman, Reedsville, James Hurlburt, Milroy, Nathan Hurlburt, Bangor, Maine, and Charles Hurlburt, Mechanicsburg; and two grandchildren. She had been an assembler at Fisher Electronics, Milroy. She was a member of the Barrville Mennonite Church. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main St., Reedsville, with the Rev. Gerald Peachey officiating. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Siglerville. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice: The Bridge, 1126 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, PA 17044 or to the Barrville Mennonite Church, 48 Barrville Mountain Road, Reedsville, PA 17084.

Cora E. Hunter
LEWISTOWN - Cora E. Hunter, 94, of 982 Parcheytown Road, Lewistown, died at 2:47 a.m. Sunday, April 29, 2001, at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home, Lewistown. Born March 14, 1907 in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Anna (Thompson) Bailor. She was preceded in death by her husband Boyd J. Hunter. She is survived by two grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by a son, Boyd W. Hunter in 1985, two brothers and two sisters. In her early life, she was employed by the American Viscose Corporation and for many years was the cashier for Harry's Fruit Market. She was Lutheran by faith. She was a member of the Golden Age Club and the Pensioneers Club. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Ralph Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice: The Bridge, 1126 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Cyrus Charles Hunter Sr.
MILROY - Cyrus Charles Hunter Sr, 73, of 16 First St., Milroy, died at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2001, at his home. Born Aug. 16, 1927, in Altoona, he was the son of the late James C. and Jennie (Miller) Hunter. His wife, Lois (Barnard) Hunter, whom he married Feb. 1, 1947, survives. Also surviving are: three daughters, Jeanne Paris of Conestoga, Joyce Ann Hunter of Phoenix, AR and Janette Lohr of Pleasant Gap; two sons, James E. Hunter of Williamsburg and Cyrus Charles Hunter Jr. of Pleasant Gap; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He attended State College High School. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving as a Private First Class and received the World War II Victory Medal and the Meritorious Service Unit Wreath. He was a retired car salesman for Stocker Chevrolet of State College. He was a member of the Milroy Presbyterian Church; the Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 1094, Bellefonte; the Elks Country Club, State College; the American Legion Post 33, Bellefonte; the State College Retirees Bowling League; the Friends Bowling League; the Centre County Bowling League; and a former member of the Bellefonte Retirees League. He was an avid fisherman, golf and sports enthusiast. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Wetzler Funeral Home, Bellefonte, with the Rev. James F. Fox officiating. Interment will be in Grays Cemetery, Patton Township. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice: The Bridge, 1126 West Fourth Street, Lewistown, PA 17044.

Catharine F. Husted
BELLEVILLE - Catharine F. Husted, 92, formerly of Belleville, died at 11:06 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2001, at Valley View Haven, Belleville. Born Sept. 14, 1908, in Shillington, she was a daughter of the late James H. and Emma Catharine (Naugle) Fry. Her husband, Charles V. Husted, preceded her in death on April 10, 1983. Surviving are: a son, James V. Husted, Harleysville; and three grandsons. She was preceded in death by three brothers. A former teacher at Shillington Elementary School for nine years, she was a Lutheran by faith and a former member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Newtown Square. She was a Girl Scout leader for 11 years, a Red Cross volunteer during World War II and devoted to her family. Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Valley View Haven Chapel, Belleville, with the Rev. M. Leon Yoder officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to Valley View Haven, 4702 E. Main St., Belleville, PA 17004. The Donald E. Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville is handling arrangements.

Carl D. Hutchinson
MIFFLINTOWN - Carl D. Hutchinson, 58, of 1 Cloverfield Court, Mifflintown, died at 7:20 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, 2001, at his residence. Born Sept. 18, 1942, in Lewistown, he was the son of George G. and Grace (Bucher) Hutchinson of Harrisburg. His wife, Gail (Kepner) Hutchinson, whom he married Feb. 9, 1965, survives. Also surviving are: children, Matthew Hutchinson and Jill Hutchinson, both of Mifflintown and a brother, Lee Hutchinson of Virginia. He was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter with the Carpenter's Union. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice. Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.

Lois M. Hutchison
THOMPSONTOWN - Lois M. Hutchison, 69, of Meda Nipple Convalescent Home, Thompsontown RR1, formerly of 24 Logan St., Lewistown and 15 S. Front St., Mifflintown, died at 2:58 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, at the Lewistown Hospital. Born Dec. 24, 1931, in Derry Township, Mifflin County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus E. and Edna G. (Graham) Gingerich. Her husband, Donald R. "Hutch" Hutchison, died Nov. 19, 1978. She is survived by two sons, Philip V. Hutchison, 46 Delaware Ave., Lewistown and Mark W. Hutchison, 32 Montgomery Ave., Lewistown; brother and sister, George E. Gingerich, 43 Valley St., Lewistown and Frances M. Hutchison, Lurgin; and five grandchildren. She was a 1951 graduate of Lewistown High School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the United Fire and Rescue Services Auxiliary 11, the Granville Fire Co. Auxiliary, and the Mifflin County Firemen's Association Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bingo, reading, country music, and playing cards. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at the Brown Funeral Home, 100 Bridge St., Mifflintown, with the Rev. Mark S. Brower officiating. Interment will be in Union Memorial Gardens, Mifflintown RR4. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Edna Emma Inch
SELINSGROVE - Edna Emma Inch, 95, formerly of Mt. Pleasant Mills RR1, died at 7:40 a.m. Friday, April 20, 2001, at the Penn Lutheran Village Nursing Home, 800 Broad St., Selinsgrove, where she had resided since July 1993. Born Sept. 16, 1905, in Oriental, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late David B. and Emma J. (Kerstetter) Strawser. She was preceded in death on Jan. 20, 1950, by her husband, William Walter Inch, whom she married in January 1921. Surviving are: two sons, Theodore A. Inch, Elizabethtown and Charles E. Inch, Port Trevorton; six daughters, Edna Shaffer, Middleburg RR4, Emma Brouse, Mt. Pleasant Mills, RR1, Esther Blaine, Steelton, Dollie Wyland, New Kingstown, Arla Neitz, Mechanicburg and Edna Arlene Feltman, Richfield; 39 grandchildren, 78 great-grandchildren and 64 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by: five sons, Howard Inch in 1993, Harvey Inch in 1991, Jacob Inch Sr. in 1995, Elwood Inch in 1994 and Glenn Inch in infancy in 1936; a daughter, May Inch in 1928; two brothers, Roy Strawser, and a brother at birth; two sisters, Mary Miller and Arla Kline; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandchild. She was educated in Juniata County rural schools. She was a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Mt. Pleasant Mills and also attended the Chapman Community Chapel, Port Trevorton. She was a homemaker, who taught her children strong family values. Her funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Richfield Mennonite Church, with Pastor Jerry R. O'Connell officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Mills. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. until the service Wednesday at the church. The George P. Garman Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant Mills, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.

Eugene B. 'Stu' Irvin Sr.
BELLEVILLE - Eugene B. "Stu" Irvin Sr., 80, of Valley View Haven, Belleville, formerly of Stone Valley, died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001 at Hershey Medical Center. Born Dec. 26, 1920 in Altoona, he was a son of the late James S. and Lillian J. (McMullen) Irvin. His wife Ruth E. (Kelly) Irvin preceded him in death on April 25, 1995. Surviving are: a daughter and son, Pamela J. Seiler, State College and Eugene B. Irvin Jr., Belleville; brothers and sisters, Florine Burkholder and Rita Gray, both of York, James S. Irvin Jr., Cleveland, OH, Mrs. John (Thelma) Reish, New Kensington and Mrs. Brian (Anna M.) Hummel, Altoona; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a United States Army Air Force veteran of World War II, having served from 1943 to 1946. He retired in 1983 from Sperry New Holland after 30 years of service working as an inspector. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lewistown, and also a member of the American Legion Post 245 of State College. He was also a life-member of the Belleville Fire Company. He was an avid hunter and he served on the Belleville Firemen's Festival Committee for years and coached the Belleville Indians in Little League. A Mass Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Lewistown, with Rev. Lawrence R. Coakly officiating. Interment will be in St. Stephens Lutheran Cemetery, McAlevy's Fort. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Donald E. Baggus Funeral Home, 3813 W. Main St., Belleville. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 106 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown, PA 17044, or to Valley View Haven, 4702 E. Main St., Belleville, PA 17004.
