Sara J. Goodwin
STATE COLLEGE - Sara J. Goodwin, 68, of 1172 Oneida St., State College, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 22, 1999, at the Brookline Village-The Fairway, State College.

Born May 11, 1931, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Bertha (Lockett) Farleman. Her husband, Stanley W. Goodwin, preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 1996.

Surviving are: children, Stanley E. Goodwin, Carlisle, Pamela Slater, State College, and Lori Hartman, McClure; brothers and sisters, William Farleman and James Farleman, both of Lewistown, Polly Rheam, Burnham, and Pat Hagemyer, Yeagertown; and three grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, with the Rev. Leona Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery, Reedsville.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Seth Adam Goodling
MILLERSTOWN - Seth Adam Goodling, 24, 1102 Sunbury Path, Millerstown, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 1999, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Snyder County.

Born Aug. 12, 1974, in Harrisburg, he was a son of Jessie and Kenneth E. Goodling Jr, Millerstown.

Also surviving are: brothers, Kenneth E. Goodling III, Mifflintown, Kent B. Goodling, Michigan, Anthony J. Goodling, New York; half-sister, Keah E. Tingle, Harrisburg; maternal grandmother, Reba Reisinger, Duncannon; paternal grandfather, Kenneth E. Goodling Sr. and paternal step-grandmother, Ethel Goodling, Elizabethtown.

He was an employee of the United Parcel Service, Northumberland.

He attended the Newport Assembly of God Church.

Services were held Saturday, Nov. 27 at the Newport Assembly of God Church, with the Rev. Gary R. Bellis officiating. Interment was in the Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.

The Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, was in charge of arrangements.

Deborah M. Goss
LEWISTOWN - Deborah M. Goss, 48, of 1411 Back Maitland Road, Lewistown, died of natural causes at 10:48 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2000, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital.

Born Nov. 10, 1951, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late Franklin S. and Mona E. (Barger) Rudy.

Surviving are: a son, David L. Goss, Germany; sisters and brother, Crystal L. Rudy and Althea Dawn Rudy, both of Lewistown, Marta A. Rudy, Seabrook, Texas, and Herbert John Rudy, Indianapolis, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra E. Snyder and a brother, Dana William Snyder.

She was a 1969 graduate of Chief Logan High School.

She worked as a scheduler with Lozier Corporation, McClure and previously at Atotech, State College.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bohn Funeral Home, 55 N. Main St., Reedsville, with the Rev. Kenneth Longfield officiating.

There will be no public viewing.

D. Monroe Goss
LEWISBURG- D. Monroe Goss, 92, of Riverwoods, Lewisburg, and formerly of McClure, died at 6:28 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.

Born Jan. 2, 1908, in West Beaver Township, Snyder County, he was a son of the late David and Vergie (Wagner) Goss. His wife, Thelma M. (Knepp) Goss, whom he married April 13, 1929, survives.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Dalton M. Goss in 1950; a grandson, D. Wayne Goss in 1967, and two brothers, Paul Goss and Carmon Goss.

He was employed for many years in the spinning department of the American Viscose, Lewistown.

He was a member of St. John's Ridge Lutheran Church, McClure RR2.

He enjoyed camping, dogs, horses and motorcycles.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Ridge Lutheran Church, McClure RR2, with the Rev. Clyde B. Singh officiating. Interment will be in Black Oak Ridge Cemetery, McClure RR2.

Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m until the time of services Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Ridge Lutheran Church, RR2, McClure, PA 17841.

The McClure chapel of Aurand Funeral Homes Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Dolly J. Goss
LEWISTOWN - Dolly J. Goss, 68, of US Highway 522 South, Lewistown (Strodes Mills), died at 7:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 20, 1999, at her home.

Born Aug. 14, 1931, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of the late James M. and Geneva (Stuck) Furgison. Her husband, Donald R. Goss Sr., whom she married May 14, 1954, survives.

Also surviving are: children, Helen L. Daley, Vass, N.C., Emma Jean Goss and Donald R. Goss Jr., both of Lewistown, Mrs. Todd A. (Donna) Yoder, Longfellow, and Janet N. Briggs, McVeytown; brothers and sisters, Mrs. Fred (Rose) Johnson and James Furgison, both of Bellefonte, Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Gotthardt, Lottsburg, Va., Wanda Wagner, Wrightsville, Dottie Cox, Silver Spring, Md., Mrs. Terry (Connie) Wearftler, Anderson, S.C., Mrs. John (Joan) Smith, McClure; Homer Furgison, Mrs. George (Linda) Ferguson, Rick Furgison, Mrs. Kenneth (Gail) Earnest, and David Furgison, all of Lewistown; 11 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Steven J. Goss on May 21, 1959 and a grandson, Christopher W. Krepps.

She was a homemaker.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with the Rev. William V. Fetrow officiating. Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Gary L. Goss
LEWISTOWN - Gary L. Goss, 26, of 4250 US Hwy. 522 North, Lewistown, Decatur Township, died at 3:20 a.m. Thursday, April 8, 1999, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital.

Born Sept. 14, 1972, in Lewistown, he was the son of Ida J. (Heimbach) and John K. Goss Sr., both of 4250 US Hwy. 522 North, Lewistown.

Also surviving are: a daughter, Lacy Lee Reed, Belleville; brothers, John K. Goss Jr., Lewistown, Scott Allen Goss Sr., Mifflin, Michael J. Goss, Milroy, and William J. Goss, Burnham; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Goss Sr., Milroy; and maternal grandmother, Ida R. Heimbach, Lewistown.

He worked as a mason for Groce Construction, and previously worked for Spigelmyer Lumber Co. in Hawstone and A.P.I. in Paxtonville.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

There will be no public viewing.

Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, is in charge of arrangements.

Greta E. Goss
LEWISTOWN - Greta E. Goss, 87, a resident of Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, and formerly of 504 S. Wayne St., Lewistown, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2000, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born June 8, 1912, in East Waterford, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel P. and Viola (Peck) Barton. Her husband, Richard G.I. Goss, died Aug. 24, 1980.

She is survived by a sister, Hildred P. "Sid" Barton, South Wayne Street, Lewistown; two nephews and one niece.

Early in life, she was a clerk at Danks Department Store and later at Krentzman's Ladies Shop. She retired from the Bon-Ton Department Store.

She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Lewistown.

Service of Christian Burial and Eucharist will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, South Main Street, Lewistown, with the Rev. Dr. Derald W. Stump and the Rev. Joseph Gatto officiating. Interment will be in St. Mark's Episcopal Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Organ Restoration Fund of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 21 S. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Paul A. Goss
PERRY HALL, Md. - Paul A. Goss, 67, of 11 M Brook Farm Court, Perry Hall, Md., died Friday, March 10, 2000, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Baltimore, Md.

Born Aug. 5, 1932, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Lester E. and Minnie (Gingrich) Goss. His wife, Patricia (Stevens) Goss, whom he married in 1955, survives.

Also surviving are: children, Melinda Bassler, Georgia, Steven Goss, Andrew Paul Goss, and Cathleen Rootzounis, all of Baltimore, Md.; brother and sister, Lester S. Goss, Lewistown and Clemmy Baker, Hagerstown, Md.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Shawver.

He was a 1950 graduate of Lewistown High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

He worked for Kinney Shoes at various locations for over 40 years, retiring in 1997.

He was a member of the Reformation Lutheran Church, Baltimore, Md.

Services were held Tuesday, March 14, 2000 in Baltimore, Md.
