Grace I. Patterson
MILROY - Grace I. Patterson, 76, of 77 S. Main St., Milroy, died at 9:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born March 19, 1923, in Milroy, she was the daughter of the late Arthur C. and Hazel (Bobb) Aumiller. Her husband, David H. Patterson Jr., whom she married May 15, 1949, survives.

Also surviving are: children, David H. Patterson III, Milroy, Samuel R. Patterson, Pittsburgh, Melissa P. Howard and Dana L. Patterson, both of Reedsville; brothers and sisters, John Aumiller, Camp Hill, Helen Bollinger, Dorothy Ryan, Sara Barns, James Aumiller Sr., and Faye Lee Rager, all of Milroy; and nine grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Aumiller and Charles Aumiller.

She was a 1941 graduate of Armagh Township High School, Milroy.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the White Memorial United Church of Christ and the J.O.Y. Sunday School Class.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the White Memorial United Church of Christ, with the Rev. James E. Hughes and the Rev. Dean Bobb officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Milroy.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the Heller- Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: the White Memorial United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 597, Milroy, PA 17063.

John T. Payne
LEWISTOWN - John T. Payne, 63, of 1817 Valley View Ave., Lewistown, and formerly of Crawfordsvillle, Indiana, died at 1:20 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 1999, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born Oct. 1, 1935, in Junction City, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Edward and Anna (Burgess) Payne. His wife, Marjorie (Fetters) Payne, whom he married July 8, 1988, survives.

Also surviving are: brothers and sisters, Russell Payne of Halleyville, Ala., Joseph B. Payne of Rockford, Ill., Dennis S. Payne of Hamilton, Mont., Nancy Russell and Margie Gosnell, both of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Rosie Chapman of Vaccaville, Calif.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Edward Payne.

He was a machinist with Lithonia High Tek Lighting, Crawfordsville, Ind., retiring due to disability in 1997.

He was a member of St. John' Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewistown, and Christ Lutheran Church, Crawfordsville, Ind.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown, with the Rev. Gerald Krum officiating.

The Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund, 120 N. Main St., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Abraham J. 'Abe' Peachey
LEWISBURG - Abraham J. "Abe" Peachey, 77, of 414 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2000, at the home of his son.

Born May 29, 1922, in Belleville, he was a son of the late Alpheus J. and Rebecca L. (Zook) Peachey. His wife, Irene V. (Miller) Peachey, whom he married June 23, 1941, survives.

Also surviving are: children, John L. Peachey, Winfield RR2, J. Ray Peachey and Mrs. Ben (Lois I.) Friesen, both of Lewisburg RR3, LeRoy V. Peachey, Thomas, Okla., David L. Peachey, Lewisburg, and William A. Peachey, Honey Grove; a sister, Nancy Hobbs, Washburn, Ill.; 37 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Joel B. Peachey, in 1994; a sister, Emma Yoder; and a brother, Elam Peachey.

He owned and operated a dairy farm in Kelly Township, Union County, for 19 years. Earlier, he farmed near Virginia Beach, Va.

He was a founding member of Shady Grove Mennonite Church, Mifflinburg RR2, where he had served as a church trustee and a Sunday school teacher.

He enjoyed cutting and splitting wood.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday at Shady Grove Mennonite Church, Route 192, Buffalo Road, Mifflinburg, with moderator Joseph Peachey, David King and nephew Millard Yoder officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining church Cemetery.

Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the church.

The family requests no flowers.

David Crist Peachey
ALLENSVILLE - David Crist Peachey, 5 1/2 months, of 110 Mill Road, Allensville, died of natural causes at 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9, 1999, at his home.

Born Feb. 23, 1999, in Lewistown Hospital, he was the son of Daniel M. and Mary Elizabeth (Swarey) Peachey of 110 Mill Road, Allensville.

Also surviving are: maternal grandmother, Rachel E. Swarey, Belleville; maternal great-grandfather, Joe I. Peachey, Belleville; maternal great-grandmother, Rebecca Z. Swarey, Belleville; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David S. Peachey, Beaver, Ohio; paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel M. Peachey, Belleville; and paternal great-grandfather, Jacob J. Peachey, Allensville.

Services will be held at 9 a.m. today at his parents residence at 110 Mill Road, Allensville, with ministers, Joe E. Peachey and Bishop Josiah H. Peachey officiating. Interment will be in the Allensville Amish Mennonite Cemetery.

Bohn Funeral Home, Reedsville, is in charge of arrangements.

Harvey Willis Peachey
YEAGERTOWN - Harvey Willis Peachey, 43, of 107 Locke Ave., Yeagertown, died at 5:44 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2000, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital.

Born Oct. 16, 1956, in Lewistown, he was a son of Harvey L. and Deloris (Wilson) Peachey of 39 Cayuga Road, Belleville. He is survived by a companion, Lori Maben, 107 Locke Ave., Yeagertown.

Also surviving are: maternal grandmother, Catherine Wilson, Petersburg RR1; and brothers, Barry L. Peachey, Carlisle, Randal L. Peachey, Belleville, and Gregg A. Peachey, Huntingdon.

He was employed as a meat cutter at Peachey Foods, Belleville.

He was a member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church, Belleville.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Maple Grove Mennonite Church, Belleville, with the Rev. Kenneth E. Litwiller and the Rev. Ivan E. Yoder officiating. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Lutheran Cemetery, McAlevy's Fort.

Friends may call from 6:30-9 p.m. Friday at Donald E. Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville.

Margaret J. 'Muff' Peachey
WHITE PIGEON, Ind. - Margaret J. "Muff" Peachey, 46, of South River Road, White Pigeon, Ind., died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, at Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart, Ind., of natural causes.

Born Oct. 9, 1953, in Lewistown, she was a daughter of Harry O. and Alice E. (Stuart) Long, Belleville. Her husband, Dwight Peachey, whom she married May 27, 1972, in Elkhart, Ind., survives.

Also surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Scottie (Tawnya) Nichols, Elkhart, Ind.; grandfathers, Harry A. Long, Belleville, and Harry W. Stuart, Elizabethtown; sister and brothers, E. Linn Irvin, Belleville, William Long, Lexington, Neb., and David Long, Belleville; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers.

She was a 1971 graduate of Penn Highlands High School- Kishacoquillas Campus, Reedsville.

She was employed as a production control supervisor for Indalex Aluminum Solutions, formerly Easco Aluminum, in Elkhart, Ind.

She enjoyed shopping, traveling and sprint car races and collected racing memorabilia.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Eley Funeral Home, 280 S. Washington St., Constantine, Mich., with the Rev. Wilbur Brandi officiating. Interment will be in Mottville Township Cemetery, Michigan.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to: Porter Township Fire Department, Michigan. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.

Nelda R. Peachey
ALLENSVILLE - Nelda R. Peachey, 90, of 27 Huey St., Allensville, died at 8:15 a.m. Monday, March 8, 1999, at the home of his daughter.

Born Dec. 20, 1908, in Belleville RR, he was the son of the late Gideon J. and Sadie (Spicher) Peachey. His wife, Miriam E. (Kauffman) Peachey, died March 23, 1963.

Surviving are: daughters, Mrs. Allen (Anna Margaret) Yoder, Allensville, and Mrs. M. Leon (Sara) Yoder; brothers and sisters, Roy I. Peachey and Mrs. Ezra J. (Verda) Peachey, both of Belleville, Ellie Hartzler, Goshen, Ind., and John A. Peachey, Allensville; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Gideon J. Peachey, an infant son, and an infant, Leon Eugene Peachey; and sisters and brother, Dorothy Peachey, Ethel Petersheim and Byron Peachey; and stepmother, Emma (Allgyer) Peachey.

He was a retired farmer and had owned Meadow Brook Dairy and had a milk route. He also worked in maintenance at Sperry New Holland, retiring in 1974.

He was a member of the Locust Grove Mennonite Church and the Senior Men's Sunday school class of the church. He was also superintendent of the Sunday school and had served as a teacher.

He was an avid hunter and a member of the Dutch Shanty Camp in Rag Hollow.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Locust Grove Mennonite Church, Belleville, with the Rev. Max Zook, the Rev. Erie Renno and the Rev. M. Leon Yoder officiating. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Donald E. Baggus Funeral Home, Belleville.

Raymond R. Peachey
BELLEVILLE - Raymond R. Peachey, 90, of Valley View Haven, Belleville, died at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2000, at the haven.

Born June 10, 1909, in Belleville, he was a son of the late Solomon D. and Katherine (Spicher) Peachey. His wife, Ethel Malinda (Zook) Peachey, died July 31, 1985.

Surviving are: children, Mrs. Jesse (Joyce) Yoder, Ronald Z. Peachey, and Timothy R. Peachey, all of Belleville, Mrs. John (Darlis) Myer, Lancaster, Wilbur F. Peachey, Mifflinburg, Conrad D. Peachey, Chambersburg, Dennis L. Peachey, Tracy, Calif., and Kenneth G. Peachey, Harrisonburg, Va.; 25 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was the last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Urie Peachey, Solomon Peachey, Jeff Peachey, David Peachey, Harvey Peachey, Louis Peachey, Emma Yoder, Mary Yoder, Katie C. Yoder, Rachel Yoder, Ada Byler and Eva L. Kauffman.

He was a retired farmer.

He was a member of Allensville Mennonite Church. He was ordained to the Christian Ministry at the Allensville Mennonite Church May 29, 1941, and to the office of bishop in 1942. He served the Allensville Mennonite Church from 1941 to 1974. He was an overseer of the Rockville Mennonite Church, Otelia Mennonite Church, Mattawana Mennonite Church, Boyer Mennonite Church of Middleburg and Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Brutus, Ky.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Allensville Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Philip Barr and the Rev. Norman Moyer officiating. Interment will be in Allensville Mennonite Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Saturday at the church.
