Robert M. Reichenbaugh
LEWISTOWN - Robert M. Reichenbaugh, 78, of 40 Peace Drive, Apt. 23D, Lewistown, died at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 1999, at his home.

Born Jan. 25, 1921, in Alberta, Canada, he was the son of the late Charles I. and Bertha (Kunkle) Reichenbaugh. His wife, Jean Marie (Roxbury) Reichenbaugh, whom he married Sept. 20, 1941, survives.

Also surviving are: a daughter, Barbara Guyer, Thompsontown; a son, Barry Reichenbaugh, Alexandria, Va.; a sister, Beryl Cramer, Fort St. Lucie, Fla; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, R. Thomas Reichenbaugh, in 1981 and two brothers and three sisters.

He was a 1939 graduate of Vandergrift High School.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served as a seaman on a minesweeping ship in Europe and was in the D-Day invasion of Normandy.

He worked for U.S. Steel in Vandergrift before and after World II. He moved to State College in 1958, where he started the Dairy Queen Franchise on North Atherton Street. He was a building contractor from 1966-1971, when he became a code enforcement officer with the Centre Region Council of Governments, retiring in 1981.

He was a member of the East Salem United Methodist Church and served as treasurer of the First Lutheran Church, Vandergrift.

He also served as the Commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 321, State College, from 1969-1970. From 1984-1995, he was a treasurer of an antique car club and was a member of the C.A.R.S. Club, Sun City, Ariz. He also owned and restored several Model T Fords and was a long time member of the Model T Ford Club of America.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the East Salem United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Terry Sheldon officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

There will be no public viewing.

Wilma E. Reid
LEWISTOWN - Wilma E. Reid, 82, a resident of Beverly Healthcare-William Penn, Lewistown, formerly of Dry Valley Road, Lewistown, died at 9:45 p.m. Friday, June 11, 1999, at the nursing home.

Born Jan. 5, 1917, in McVeytown, she was a daughter of the late William and Bessie (Erb) Traxler.

She was the last of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by two sisters, Violet McNitt and Daisy Traxler.

She was a United States Army veteran of World War II.

She was employed by the American Viscose Corporation until 1972.

She attended Calvary Bible Church in Lewistown and Little Valley Presbyterian Church in Vira.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Harshbarger Funeral Home, 3 S. Market St., McVeytown, with the Rev. Robert L. Zorn officiating. Interment will be in Mattawana Cemetery, McVeytown.

Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.

John Luther Reigle
ELIZABETHTOWN - John Luther Reigle, 76, formerly of Lewistown, died Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at his home.

Born March 2, 1923, in Benfer, he was a son of the late Frank Lawrence and Mary (Benfer) Reigle. His wife, Faith (Reidenbach) Reigle, survives.

Also surviving are: daughters, Constance Reigle, Chambersburg, and Juanita Reigle-Buckley, Charlottesville, Va.; a sister, Marjorie Paulman, Halifax; and two grandddaughters.

He was a 1941 graduate of Lewistown High School and attended Susquehanna University.

He was a U. S. Air Force veteran of World War II, having served in the European Theatre.

Following his retirement from the Air Force, he was employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue until 1987.

He was a 33rd degree Freemason and a member of the West Shore Lodge 681, Camp Hill.

He was an avid enthusiast of Chow Chows, and was the AKC delegate for the Harrisburg Kennel Club. He bred, exhibited and judged for over 20 years.

Private memorial services and interment were held Monday at Fort Indiantown Gap.

John E. Kraft Funeral Home Inc., Mountville, was in charge of arrangements.

Mary P. Benfer Reigle
HALIFAX - Mary P. Benfer Reigle, 99, of 535 N. 5th St., Halifax, formerly of 404 S. Wayne St., Lewistown, died Friday, March 26, 1999, in the Susquehanna Lutheran Village, Millersburg.

Born in Benfer, she was the daughter of the late James and Sarah (Beaver) Benfer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Reigle.

Surviving are: children, John L. Reigle, Mountville and Marjorie E. Paulman, Halifax; two granddaughters; and two great-granddaughters.

She was a housewife.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewistown, the Augsburg Sunday school class and the Lewistown Golden Age Club and a former member of the Beaver Springs Ladies Band.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Heller- Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown. Interment will be in Mt. Rock Cemetery, Lewistown.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to: St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Third Street, Lewistown, PA 17044.

The Hoover Funeral Home, Millersburg, is in charge of arrangements.

Catherine Eva Reinheimer
CENTRE HALL - Catherine Eva Reinheimer, 80, of Centre Hall, formerly of Langhorne, died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at Centre Community Hospital, State College.

Born Jan. 20, 1919, in Langhorne, she was the daughter of the late Morgan and Mary (Doster) Fulton. Her first husband, Charles Jacob Clickner, preceded her in death. She is survived by her second husband, Ernest J. Reinheimer, Locust Grove Retirement Center, Mifflin.

Also surviving are: two sons, John C. Clickner, McAlevy's Fort and Wayne M. Clickner, Centre Hall; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a twin brother, Morgan Fulton and a son, Lee F. Clickner, who died in the Vietnam War.

She graduated from Langhorne High School in 1936.

She worked as a florist for Rhodes Flower Shop in Newtown for many years.

She was a member of the Langhorne United Methodist Church and was active in the ladies auxiliary of the Jesse Soby American Legion Post in Langhorne, having held all offices including president. She was also active in the Langhorne Fire Company auxiliary for many years, where she was also an office holder.

She especially enjoyed floral arranging and floral gardening.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral Service, 226 S. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall, with Steven M. Kohns officiating. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call, immediately following the memorial service, at the Wayne Clickner residence, 316 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Centre Hall.

Ruth C. Reish
LEWISTOWN - Ruth C. Reish, 91, of 278 Loop Road, Lewistown, died at 10:05 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 1999, at her residence.

Born Feb. 3, 1908, in Lilly, Pa., she was the daughter of the late M. Lovina (Musselman) and David George Sr. Her husband, Rexford H. Reish, died Dec. 15, 1983.

Surviving are: a daughter, Darla M. Reish, 278 Loop Road, Lewistown; and sisters, Mrs. Conrad (Agnes) Dolch, 186 Ort Valley Road, Lewistown, and Miss Beatrice George, 18 North Hills Trailer Court, Lewistown.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

She was a self-employed beautician and had previously worked for the American Viscose Corporation for 19 years.

She was a member of the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewistown, the Esther Circle Women of the ELCA and was a teacher for the primary Sunday school class and the Happy Workers Sunday school class.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday in the parlor of the church.

Elizabeth Renninger
MOUNT UNION - Elizabeth Renninger, 83, of Silverford Heights, Mount Union, died at approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday, May 16, 1999, at the Altoona Hospital.

Born Nov. 10, 1915, in Mount Union, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Veronica Sarbu. Her husband, Richard James Renninger, whom she married Sept. 6, 1946 in Winchester, Va., died on Feb. 16, 1990.

Surviving are: children, Betty Jane Renninger and Daniel J. Renninger, both of Silverford Heights, Mount Union; a sister, Ambronica Bennett, Grovertown, Ind.; and one grandson.

She was preceded in death by two infant brothers.

She was a graduate of Mount Union High School.

She was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, having served during World War II.

She was a hairdresser and owned and operated Elizabeth's Beauty Shop. She had also been employed by Empire Kosher and Creitz Bologna Factory, Mount Union and L. Greif Brothers Manufacturing, Mount Union.

She was a member of St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, Mount Union and had been a member of the local Catholic Daughters chapter. She was also a member of the Simpson-Hunt American Legion Post 107, Mount Union.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Catherine's Roman Catholic Church, Mount Union, with the Rev. Father Elwood Figurelle officiating. Interment will be in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery, Shirleysburg.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union.

Jay Blain Renninger
MANORHOUSE, Va.- Jay Blain Renninger, 79, of Manorhouse, Va., formerly of Bon Air, Va., died Thursday, Dec. 9, 1999, at his residence.

Born in Mifflintown, he was the son of the late William W. and Mary (Bower) Renninger. His wife, Eleanor (Cupp) Renninger, died on Nov. 24, 1995.

Surviving are nine nieces and nephews.

He was a 1938 graduate of Juniata Joint High School where he participated in sports and music.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the American Division in the Pacific Theater, including Guadacanal.

After his service, he attended Franklin and Marshall College.

He worked in the financial area for many companies, retiring from the John G. Kolbe, Inc. Company.

Services were private and interment was held in Mifflintown.
