Samuel J. Ventimiglia Sr.
LEWISTOWN - Samuel J. Ventimiglia Sr., 40, of 25 E. Chestnut St., Lewistown, died at 5:56 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 1999, as a result of injuries suffered in an accident on Honey Creek Road, Reedsville.

Born July 21, 1958, in St. Louis, Mo., he was the son of Augustino and Fondel (Hyde) Ventimiglia. His wife, Debra (English) Ventimiglia, whom he married in 1985, survives.

Also surviving are: children, Samuel J. Ventimiglia Jr. and Sara Ventimiglia, both at home; brothers and sisters, Josephine Schaffer, Augustino Ventimiglia Jr., and Vincent Ventimiglia, all of Missouri, Concetta Ventimiglia and Deborah Jessop, both of Florida.

He served in the United States Navy.

He was employed by RR Donnelley & Sons Printing in Lancaster.

He was a member of the Brooklyn Hose Co. and A.B.A.T.E.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Roger Reece officiating and Brad Williams assisting. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Jane Vincent
FOUNTAIN HILL - Jane Vincent, 82, of Bethlehem Township, died on Thursday, Sept. 23, 1999, at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill.

Born on June 15, 1917, in Mifflin, Juniata County, she was a daughter of the late William F. and Anna Belle (McCrum) Burchfield. Her husband, Harry Vincent, preceded her in death in 1992.

Surviving are: a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Patti J.) Simon of Bethlehem Township; a brother, Hurley Burchfield of Mifflintown; a granddaughter and twin great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and a sister.

She was an Avon representative for 25 years, retiring in 1992, and was a member of its President's Club.

She was a member of the Calvary Bible Church, Bethlehem and the "Helping Hands."

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the funeral service Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Bible Church Deacon Fund, 111 Dewberry Ave., Bethlehem, PA 18017.

Irvin M. Wade
LEWISTOWN - Irvin M. Wade, 81, of 126 N. Grand St., Lewistown, died at 10:13 a.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at Ohesson Manor Nursing Home.

Born Nov. 28, 1917, in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late Orie and Margaret (Whitton) Wade. His wife, Betty (Wheeler) Wade, whom he married in 1938, survives.

Also surviving are: children, Terry Wade of McVeytown and Mrs. Ted (Betty Kay) Kochmaruk of North Carolina; sister, Lera Niman of Burgard Apartments, Lewistown; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, four half-brothers, one half-sister and two stepsisters.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps.

He was self employed as a painter and wallpaper hanger.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Lewistown.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Jeffrey McCleary officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery, Lewistown, where graveside military services will be conducted by V.F.W. Post 7011.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ohesson Manor Employees, 276 Green Ave., Lewistown, PA 17044.

Andrew G. Wagner
BEAVERTOWN - Andrew G. Wagner, 80, of Beavertown, died at noon Tuesday, May 11, 1999, at his home.

Born May 24, 1918, in Hummels Wharf, he was a son of the late George and Annie (Kratzer) Wagner. His wife, Cora E. (Bowersox) Wagner, whom he married July 5, 1941, survives.

Also surviving are: a son, Jeremiah R. Wagner, Beavertown; a sister, Edna Inch, Penn Lutheran Village, Selinsgrove; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Gertie Marker, Curlie Steele, Mertie Kepler and Hattie Benner; and three brothers, Irvin Wagner, Merle Wagner, and Stuart Wagner.

He served for three years in the U.S. Army in the South Pacific through three major battles and received an expert infantry badge.

In 1983, he retired from the former Beavertown Mill after 42 years as a weaver. He was also an auctioneer.

He belonged to many coin clubs and was a member of American Legion Post 23, Beaver Springs.

He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon and participated in various other activities.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at St. Paul's UCC Church with the Rev. Edward Henry officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, where graveside military services will be provided by American Legion Post 23.

Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at the Beavertown chapel of Aurand Funeral Homes Inc., 326 W. Market St., Beavertown, where family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m.

Donald D. Wagner
LEWISTOWN - Donald D. Wagner, 62, of 43 S. Sixth St., Lewistown, died at 1:50 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2000, in the emergency room of Lewistown Hospital.

Born May 25, 1937, in Armagh Township, Mifflin County, he was a son of Elizabeth (Trutt) Wagner of 126 Pannebaker Ave., Lewistown and the late Alvin G. Wagner. He is survived by his companion, Patsy D. Shores of 43 S. Sixth St., Lewistown.

Also surviving are: children, Donald Wagner Jr., Wilmington, Del., Tammie Wagner, Delaware, and Brian Scott Wagner, Elkton, Md.; stepchildren, Lena Corson and Earl Muckel Jr., both of Lewistown; brother and sister, Nancy Smith, Johnstown and Alvin Wagner, McClure; seven grandchildren and five step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Wagner.

He was a construction worker, having retired on disability.

He was a member of the Brooklyn Hose Co., the Yeagertown Fire Co. and the Lewistown Owl's Club.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Church of Nazarene, 642 E. Freedom Ave., Burnham, with the Rev. George Smith officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.

There will be no viewing but family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service Tuesday at the church.

Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.

Forry E. Wagner
LEWISTOWN - Forry E. Wagner, 79, of 624 W. Sixth St., Lewistown, died at 7:10 p.m. Sunday March 7, 1999, at the Hershey Medical Center.

Born Feb. 23, 1920, in Beavertown, he was the son of the late Forry M. and Gertrude M. (Kratzer) Wagner. His wife, Annetta I. (Rapp) Wagner, whom he married Sept. 4, 1948, survives.

Also surviving are: a son, Lewis E. Wagner, 148 Church Lane, Reedsville; brother and sister, Margaret P. Stroup, Kish Apartments, Lewistown, and Robert L. Wagner, Whitehouse Station, N.J.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy M. Kuhns and Esther Wagner.

He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II.

Early in life, he was a contract painter and later worked as a painter for Penn State University, retiring in 1975.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lewistown, and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with the Rev. Gerald A. Krum officiating. Interment will be in Juniata Memorial Park.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Francis H. 'Frank' Wagner
NORTHUMBERLAND - Francis H. "Frank" Wagner, 72, 65 Queen St., Northumberland, formerly of Northumberland RR1, died at 4:45 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born June 18, 1927, in Lewistown, he was a son of the late Russell J. and Isabel (Carpenter) Wagner. His wife, Helen B. (Reichley) Wagner, whom he married Jan. 27, 1948, died Nov. 7, 1999.

Also surviving are: sons, Jesse R. Wagner of Seattle, Wash. and Terry L. Wagner of Northumberland; brother and sisters, Charles Wagner, Mifflintown, Gladys Bressler, Lewistown, Margaret Bressler, York and Mary Jane Sprout, Harrisburg: and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by identical twin brother, Fred Wagner, in 1979, and brothers, Jesse Wagner and James Wagne, He attended Lewistown High School.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and was awarded the Meritorious Conduct Metal.

He retired from Furman's Foods in 1992. He was formerly employed by the Young Door Co. and C.F. King Contractors, both of Sunbury; and Kellers Creamery and Forge Flo Corp., both of Northumberland.

He was a member of the Bethany Evangelical Church, Sunbury.

He was also a life member of Point Township Fire Company and the Hook and Ladder Fire Co. of Northumberland.

He loved music, especially playing the guitar and the organ. He also enjoyed square dancing.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland, with the Rev. Brian C. Desautel officiating. Interment will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park Cemetery, Stonington.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home.

Helen B. Wagner
NORTHUMBERLAND - Helen B. Wagner, 69, a resident of the Nottingham Village nursing home, formerly of Northumberland RR1, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at the village.

Born Jan. 1, 1930, in Winfield, she was a daughter of the late Russell E. and Verdilla (Bailey) Reichley. Her husband, Francis H. Wagner, whom she married Jan. 27, 1948, survives.

Also surviving are: sons, Jesse R. Wagner, Seattle, Wash., and Terry L. Wagner, Northumberland; sister and brother, Mae Miller, Reedsville, and Ralph Reichley, Sunbury RR1; two grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Elmer Reichley, Grover Reichley, and Dorothy Hughes.

She was a 1947 graduate of Reedsville High School.

She was a homemaker and was employed by Wilhold Manufacturing Company, Sunbury for 34 years, retiring in 1992.

She was affiliated with the Bethany Evangelical Church in Sunbury and enjoyed crocheting and knitting.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, Second and King streets, Northumberland, with the Rev. Brian C. Desautel officiating. Interment will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park Cemetery, Stonington.

Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
