Thomas A. "Al" Van Blaricom, age 68, of Pine Twp., Wexford, died on Thursday, December 19, 2002. Born on August 27, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Ross R. & Mary (Moran) Van Blaricom. Beloved husband for 43 years of Joyce M. (Hengstebeck). Dear father of Maureen A. Fajt of Pine Twp., Thomas Ross Van Blaricom of Fairfax, VA, Michael F. Van Blaricom of Mason, Ohio and Patrick J. Van Blaricom of Naperville, IL Brother of Maureen Klostermeyer of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI. Loving Grandfather of eleven grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Francis Van Blaricom. The family will receive friends Saturday from 2-4 and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, Richland Twp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, at 10:00 a.m. in St. John & Paul Catholic Church. Fr. Joseph McCaffrey will officiate Interment will follow in Holy Savior Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Family Pallative Care, 250 Mt. Lebanon Blvd., Suite 203, Pittsburgh, PA 15234. Mr. Van Blaricom was the Nationwide Field Accounting Director with PPG for 36 years. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, a member of St. John & Paul Catholic Church and a member of St. Alexis Senior Citizen Club. Al had a great passion for sports. He was an outstanding pitcher for the US Army. Al carried his love for baseball into the development and instruction of hundreds of young atheletes. His twenty years of managing youth teams in Ingomar and Bradford Pines resulted in numerous championships and tournament teams. Al enjoyed traveling the east and west coast of the USA and Europe, but his moments of greatest joy were spent with his grandchildren.

Rudolph "Chick" Vitunic

Rudolph "Chick" Vitunic, age 78 of Ross Township, on Monday, December 16, 2002 in Suburban General Hospital, Bellevue. He was born in Tyrone, PA, on March 8, 1924, son of the late Louis and Rose (Bacvar) Vitunic. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vitunic was preceded in death by three siblings, Steve, Anna & Louis Vitunic. Dear friend of Ann Lorenz of North Side. Brother of Joseph Vitunic, Helen Spitznagel and Michael Vitunic, all of Ross Township and Thomas Vitunic of Hampton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Chick and his brother, Tom were partners in Saxonburg Blvd Auto, Inc., for 45 years. He was a Navy Veteran of W.W.II. Elaine E. Gibson, age 65, of Cranberry Twp., formerly of Gibsonia, on Thursday, November 7, 2002 in UPMC Passavant Hospital. Born on February 13, 1937 in Pittsburgh, Pa, she was the daughter of the late James Emigh and the late Marion Miller Emigh. Elaine worked as a homemaker and was a member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Cranberry Township. Preceding her in death is one sister. Surviving are her beloved husband of 46 years, Richard F. Gibson, three children, Richard F.Gibson Jr. of Brookville, Denise A. Knox of Cheswick and Sandy M. Kitzky of Richland Township. Sister of Janet Phillips of Penn Hills, Pauline Keefer of California, and James Emigh of North Versailles. Also survived by seven grandchildren, Richard J. Gibson, Billy Knox, Tammy Knox, Leanne Kitzky, Ryan Kitzky, Sean Catalano, and Shannon Gibson, and two great-grandchild, Timmy Gibson and Tessa Knox. Thelma Kamerer Ziringer

Thelma (Kamerer) Ziringer, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at the home of her granddaughter, Vickie Carr of Butler Twp., from the loving arms of her family and friends into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was the daughter of the late Carey E. & Maggie (Wilson) Kamerer. Preceded in death by her husband Ross W. Ziringer, three sisters and one brother. She is suvived by two daughters, Mrs Paul (Nancy) Kramer of Butler and Mrs. Arthur (Sue) Stewart of Mars, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church of Mars where a Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 10, 2002. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name may be made to the Faith Baptist Church, Pittsburgh St. Mars, Pa 16046 or the Albert Gallatin Hospice, 165 Brugh Ave. Butler, PA 16001.

Lillian D. (Burgess) Payne on Saturday June 22, 2002, age 85, of Bellevue. Born in Star Junction, PA on November 16, 1916, the daughter of the late Harvey and Agnes Burgess. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Payne; five brothers and sisters, Cameron and Wilmer Burgess, Walter Muldoon, Alverda Wolak and Evelyn Getchell. Lillian is survived by two sons, Charles R. Payne of Ross Township and Thomas R. Payne of Shaler. Also survived by three grandchildren, Valerie Rhoades of Evans City, Ryan Payne of Avalon and Frederick Payne of Shaler Township. Mrs. Payne was a homemaker most of her life. Born February 26, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Suitbert and Helen (Petrack) Lattner. He worked as a Industrial Painter for Painter's Local Union #6. He was a life member of the Amvets and Painter's Local Union #6 where he served previously as an instructor in the apprenticeship program. He also proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Surviving are his wife, Mary Lou Lattner of Ross Township, three daughters, Linda Lattner of Gibsonia, Mary Allyn Lattner-Lotz and her husband Gary Lotz of Marshall Township, Stefanie Lattner and her husband Bill Weston of Richland Township and a son, Jerry Lattner of Ross Township.
