Death date: February 01, 2004 George W. Muschar, age 78 of Bellevue, on Sunday, February 1, 2004 in Mercy Hospital. Born on May 26, 1925 in Pittsburgh, son of the Late Edward and E. Myrtle (McKee) Muschar. In addition to his parents, Mr. Muschar was preceded in death by a brother, Lawrence R. Muschar. Mr. Muschar was a veteran of the U.S. Army and worked for the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers for 32 years before retiring. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Tau Phi. Most beloved husband for 45 years of Elsie J. (Schleiden) Muschar and beloved brother of John E. Muschar of Shaler Township. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Family will recieve friends Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME Inc., 388 Center Avenue in West View where services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Paul Wrightman will officiate the service at the funeral home. Internment will follow at Allegheny County Memorial Park. Family suggests donations to St. Peter

Death date: January 29, 2004 Virginia G. (Belohlavek) Zoth, age 84 of Reserve Township, on Thursday, January 29, 2004 in Cedar Nursing Home, Monroeville. Born in Pittsburgh on March 16, 1919, daughter of the late George & Eva (Schrek) Gerard. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Zoth was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Zoth; two sisters, Betty J. & Amelia Yavorka and a niece, Eva Brueckner. Mrs. Zoth is survived by two children, William (Donna) Zoth of Delmont, PA and Elaine Erkel of California and a nephew, Andrew Yavorka of Hampton Twp. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue in West View. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, February 2, 2004 in St. Aloysius Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Mt. Troy Road.

Charles A. Ober Sr.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 4, 1937 the son of the late Charles G. and Caroline (Seybold) Ober. Beloved husband of the late Susanne (Ebert) Ober; beloved father of Carolyn (James) Fabrizi of Bellevue, Charles (Tammy) Ober Jr. of Reserve, Paul (Amy) Ober of Shaler; Cherished Grandfather of Brian (Leah) Schram, Jimmy Fabrizi IV, Ryan, Justin, Emily, and Susannah Ober, Chris and Hannah Arensburg, Ashley and Brendan Koval; Loving brother of Robert (Maryann) Ober of Etna and Rose (Jim) Rinehart of Nevada. Maurice J. Lechien
Death date: January 19, 2004 Maurice J. Lechien, age 84, of The Village of St. Barnabas in Richland Twp., Gibsonia, formerly of Forest Hills, on Monday, Jan 19, 2004. Born on September 25, 1919 in Charleroi, PA, he was the son of the late Gaston & Adeline (Godvriend) Lechien. After serving four years in the military as an Army Staff Sgt during WWII, he embarked on a banking career in Charleroi, PA. Maurice joined the Treasury Department's National Bank Examination Division in 1944 where he served as a Senior National Bank Examiner until his retirement in 1974. As part of his training as a National Bank Examiner, he graduated from the summer school program at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. He was active in AARP where he served as President of the Forest Hills Chapter # 2556. Maurice was also a member of the Elks in Charleroi for 53 years and a member of St. Richard Catholic Church in Richland Twp. He was a former member & active with St. Maurice Church, Forest Hills. Beloved husband for 58 years of Vincentina (Nevant) Lechien. Dear father of Deborah A. Lechien of Mansfield, Ohio and Stephanie L. Wall of Cecil Twp. Also survived by three grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Mercedes Garratt. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Richard Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Interment will be private in Queen of Heaven cemetery in Peters Twp. If Desired memorial donations may be made to the building fund of St. Richard Church 3841 Dickey Rd. Gibsonia 15044. William F. Fassbaugh
Death date: January 11, 2004 William F. Fassbaugh, age 79, of Millvale and Longwood, FL, on Sunday January 11, 2004 in Providence Health Care Center, Beaver Falls. Born January 24, 1924 in Pittsburgh PA the son of the late Frederick and Nellie Reilly Fassbaugh. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fassbaugh is preceded in death by his beloved wife Rose Marie Klingler Fassbaugh. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. Friends received at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc. 388 Center Avenue West View on Tuesday 2-4 7-9. Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 8:30 pm Prior to his retirement William was employed as an Engineer in the Hotel Industry. The family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association.

Born on July 19, 1928 in Goshen, NY, he was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Wisniewski) Giza. Also preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. Edward was a founding owner of Saw Sales & Machinery in Gibsonia. A Korean War Veteran, he was a lifetime member of VFW Post 6766, West Deer, and American Legion Post 528, Bakerstown. Edward also loved hunting and fishing. Loving husband of Norma Jean (Price) Giza. Beloved father of Karen (Ronald) Plesh of Russelton, Michael (Jennifer) Giza of Richland Twp., and Catherine (Scott) Carson of Renfrew. Brother of Hattie Pieczontka of Pine Island, NY, Frank Giza of New Hampton, NY, Barney Giza of Goshen, NY, and Jane Shuback of Middletown, NY. Also survived by six grandchildren. Beganski and two brothers, Martin & John Klemens. Devoted Mother of Jane E. (John) Stadnik of Hampton Township, Richard C. (Judith) Beganski of Connecticut & James M. Beganski of Virginia. Special Grandmother of Jim, Paul, Rich Jr., Joell, Christopher, Daniel & Derek. Also survived by six great grandchildren. Sister of Marie Roberts of West View. There will be no visitation. Born on January 18, 1913 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. and Henrietta (Mateoschat) Danner. Ruth was a volunteer at Allegheny General Hospital for over 25 years and a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, North Side. Loving wife of the late Robert E. Kennedy. Beloved sister of Esther (Albert) Price of Gibsonia. Aunt of Maryann (Charles) Egerter of North Carolina and great aunt of Greg Egerter of North Carolina. Hunt, Sr. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hunt is preceded in death by a son, Richard G. Hunt. Mrs. Hunt is survived by 5 children, Roberta Totin, Catherine Lash and Bruce, Mark S. & Daniel S. Hunt. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 from 12 Noon until time of Blessing Service at 1:30 p.m. Father Benjamin Walker will officiate the service at the funeral home. Interment in Union Dale Cemetery.

Thelma M. (Hager) Ross

Born on July 21, 1922 in Mars, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Edna (Bowers) Hager. Thelma was a member of the Mars Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 271, and the St. John Luthern Church in Mars. Loving wife of the late Clifford L. Ross. Beloved daughter of Judith Brown of West Deer Twp., Patricia Worrall of Seville, OH, and Paul Ross of Kings Mills, OH. Sister of Wanda Jean Weidner of Zelienople. Also survived by six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the Valencia Woods Nursing Home on Saturday, November 29, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. David L. McDonald and Rev. Robert R. Rigg, officiating.
