Charles F. "Dick" Kaib, age 83 of Reserve Township, on Sunday, March 24, 2002 at Cumberland Crossing Personal Care Facility. He was born in Pittsburgh on January 20, 1919, the son of the late John C. and Mary (Muhla) Kaib. In addition to his parents, Mr. Kaib was preceded in death by his beloved Wife, Margaret E. (Best) Kaib and three Brothers, John, Louis and Daniel Kaib. Mr. Kaib is the Loving Uncle, Guardian and Father Figure of Jeffrey and Jeremy Plummer of Reserve Township, Denise Thomas of Florida and Donald Plummer, Jr. of Reserve Township and Brother of Joseph and Alfred Kaib, both of Reserve Township, Marie Mulach of Wilkins Township, Regina "Jean" Roos, Dolores "Lorie" Rebholz and Margaret Razum, all of Reserve Township. Family will receive friends on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home, 388 Center Avenue in West View, a "Pursuit of Excellence Award Firm". Mass of Christian Burial in St. Aloysius Church on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Most Holy Name Cemetery. Prior to his retirement, Dick was a Port Authority Transit Driver. He proudly served his country as an Army Veteran during WWII. Memberships included the Mt. Troy Volunteer Fire Company, the Knights of Columbus, St. Aloysius Ushers Club, the American Legion, Millvale V.F.W. Post #118 and Reserve Township A.A.R.P. #2882. Mr. Kaib was also a former member of the Shaler Area School Board and Bookeeper for Kaib Construction Co. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to St. Aloysius Church, 3616 Mt. Troy Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15212.

Charles F. "Charlie" Brezina, age 92 of Ross Township, on Thursday, March 7, 2002 at Suburban General Hospital. Beloved husband for 68 years of Elsie I. (Fischer) Brezina. Beloved father of Nancy C. Lampus and her husband, Melvin L. Lampus, of Ross Township. Loving grandfather of Jeffrey S. Lampus. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Charlie was a Musical Instrument Repairman at Volkwein Brothers Music and at his own business, Gateway Musical Repair. A 32 degree Mason, Mr. Brezina was a 50-year lifetime member of Lodge 45, F.& A.M. Syria Shrine Temple and the Islam Grotto Singers. Friends received Saturday from 12 noon until time of service at 3 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., in West View, a "Pursuit of Excellence" Award Firm. Loretta F. Wolf, age 87, of Cranberry Township formerly of Ben Avon, on Thursday February 21, 2002 at Rebecca Residence West Deer Twp. Born December 21, 1914 in Pittsburgh PA the daughter of the late Louis and Eleanor (Hahn) Schreiber. In addition to her parents Loretta was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Conrad Wolf, her sister Irene Fiala and three brothers Albert, George and Howard Schreiber. Survivors include two nieces Lou Ella Yavorka and Kathy Johnson and one nephew Chuck Schreiber. Virginia G. Kabaczy, age 80, formerly of Wheaton, MD, on Saturday, April 20, 2002 in Manor Care North Nursing Home, Ross Township. Born August 7, 1921 in Washington D.C., she was the beloved daughter of the late Mianda and Della (Steers) Guiffre. Mrs. Kabaczy is survived by her loving husband, Michael T. Kabaczy; one daughter, Darlene K. Peterson of Pittsburgh; two sons, Dennis W. Kabaczy of Michigan and Michael T. Kabaczy of Georgia; two step-daughters, Pearl Lieske of Virginia and Betty Kurps of Florida; three brothers, Edgar Guiffre of Maryland, William Guiffre of Maryland, and Paul Guiffre of Maryland. Also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be private. Friends are invited to a Memorial Services on Thursday, April 25, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. in the theater at the "Residence at Willow Lane, " 30 Heckel Road in McKees Rocks, PA. Geeting, Sr. Loving mother of Jack Geeting of South Carolina, Margaret Miller of Oakdale, Jane Huckestein of Bellevue, Christine Molka of Kennedy Township, and Carole McCaige of Michigan. Sister of Robert Konkle of Laurel Gardens, Dorothy Godkin of Ross, and Judy Tarolli of Ohio. Also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren Mrs. Geeting worked as a Homemaker for her dear family most of her life. She was a member of North Hills United Presbyterian Church and Northgate Chapter #2736 AARP. Family will receive friends from Sunday 7-9 p.m. and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View, a Pursuit of Excellence Award Firm. Born October 13, 1902 in Burgfeld, Austria, she was the daughter of the late Andreas and Juliana (Sukitz) Keretz. Miss Keretz worked as a Seamstress in the Clothing Industry. Surviving is a Niece, Denise Bryson of New Castle, PA. Interment in St. Mary's cemetery where there will be a private graveside service on Tuesday, April 23, 2002.

Born October 20, 1920 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence N. and Mathilda Feil Holden. Prior to her retirement, Verna worked as a Cashier for Gimbels. She was a member of Community House Church. Surviving are 2 Sons, Joseph E. Armstrong, Jr., and his wife, Barbie of North Carolina and Kenneth L. Armstrong and his wife, Laurie of Selah, Washington; a Daughter, Verna J. Martin and her husband, Robert of Cochranton, PA; 9 Grandchildren and 3 Great-Grandchildren. Preceding Mrs. Armstrong in death were her husband, the Late Joseph E. Armstrong and a Brother, Lawrence N. Holden, Jr. Friends will be received on Thursday from 7-9 and Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue in West View, where services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Rev. Wayne Peck will officiate the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Fugent and two brothers, Calvin and Donald Leitch. Survivors include her devoted companion, Donald Duke; three daughters, Janice Fugent of Bellevue, Voni Fitzpatrick of Lower Burrell and Kathy Johnson of NC; one son, Howard Fugent of Germany; one sister, June Brill of RossTownship; one brother, Dennis Leitch of NY; three granddaughters, Wendy Fugent, Voni Schmidt and Sarah Fugent; two grandsons, Eric and Adam Fugent and one great grandson, Philip Schumacher. Loving husband for 42 years of Marilyn (Williams) Staley. Dear father of Robin Martin, Georgeann Staley-Valare of Freedom, PA, Lynette Antonelli of Echo, PA, George W. Staley III of Richland Twp., and Robert W. Staley of Greensburg. Also 12 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. Dear brother of Mary Tray of Greensburg and Helen Beard of Acme, PA. He served in WWII as Air Force 1st Lieutenant where he was chosen to a select group of servicemen to attend logistical training at Harvard and was awarded the Bronze Service Star. In 1950 he and his wife, Martha, built and established Bakerstown Golf Course, renamed Pittsburgh North Golf Club in 1969. Sox was a member of the PGA, PGO (Pennsylvania Golf Course Owners), and the Etna Elks. Born on October 14, 1915, the loving son of the late Peter and Anna (Lamb) Spiegel. Beloved husband of the late Edna Margaret (Crede) Spiegel and the late Marie Spiegel. Beloved step-father of Albert W. Chamberlain and his wife, Judy of Ross Township and grandfather of William A. Chamberlain of Ross Township. Family will receive friends Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 388 Center Ave in West View, a "Pursuit of Excellence" Award Firm, where a blessing service will be held on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Father Robert Norton of St. Athanasius Parish will officiate the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Anthony's cemetery in Shaler Township. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Spiegel was an upholsterer in the furniture industry.
