Richard A. Wiegand, on July 29, 2002, age 59, of the North Side. He was the son of the late William and Ruby Corcoran. Mr. Wiegand was a Fireman for the City of Pittsburgh. Father of Erin and Eric Wiegand. Brother of Albert Wiegand. He was also survived by two nephews, Jason and Matthew Wiegand and a Cousin Michael Wiegand. Friends received Friday, Aug 2, 2002 from 2-9 p.m. at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 707 East Street, North Side, a "Pursuit of Excellence" award firm. Fr. Benjamin Walker of St. Peter's Church will officiate a blessing service Friday evening at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Fireman's service at 8:00 p.m.

Floyd E. Wright

Floyd E. Wright, age 91 of The Village of St. Barnabas in Richland Twp., Gibsonia, formerly of South West Greensburg, died on Tuesday, July 30, 2002. Born on February 3, 1911 in Westmoreland City, PA., he was the son of the late Joseph H. & Mary Jane (Penman) Wright. Beloved husband of the late Zelma I. (Poole). Dear Father of Dorothy Jeanne Garland of Ebensburg, PA and Betty Harris of Franklin Park, PA. Also 7 grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Vukmanic, Mary Woodward and three brothers, Joseph, Laurence and Roy. Friends received Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 and Saturday 10:30 a.m. until time of Service at 12:30 p.m. in the Schellhaas Funeral Home Ltd 5864 Heckert Road a "Pursuit of Excellence"award firm. Rev. Ted Martin of the First Presbyterain Church of Bakerstown will officiate. Interment will follow in Westmoreland Memorial Park. If desired memorial donations to the American Heart Association 10 Duff Rd Suite 304 Pgh., Pa 15235 or the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown Rt 8 Bakerstown PA 15007. Mr. Wright was a retired accountant for the Headquarters Accounting Office at Westinghouse Electric for 40 years. A member of Masonic Lodge #518, a former member of the First Lutheran Church in Greensburg and a current member of the First Presbyterain Church of Bakerstown.

Granville P. Waller

Granville P. Waller, age 89, of St. Barnabas Nursing Home died on Saturday, July 13, 2002. Born on May 7, 1913, in Louisville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Dr. Granville Blackburn Waller and Miriam Elizabeth Prindle Waller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Miriam Elizabeth Waller. Mr. waller attended the Missouri State University in 1932. Friends received Tuesday, July 16, 2002 from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.at the St. Barnabas Nursing Home Chapel. Fr. John C. VanAtta, age 72 of West View, on Friday, June 21, 2002 at his residence. Born on April 22, 1930, the beloved son of the late Harry A. and Emma (Murray) VanAtta. Loving husband of his wife Loretta M. (Weber) VanAtta, one son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Amy VanAtta of Ross Township, four brothers, Robert VanAtta of Greensburg, Frank VanAtta of Shaler, Alonzo VanAtta of Gibsonia, and Tom VanAtta of Irwin, and two sisters, Jane Jackson of Whitehall and Judith Swick of Verona. Also survived by two granchildren, Rachel Vanatta of Ross and Jay VanAtta of Ross. John worked as a telephone worker for Bell Telephone Communications. Family will receive friends Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View. Service will be held Tuesday June 25, 2002 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Strobel officiating. Interment will follow in Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless.

Born March 4, 1916 in the North Side of Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Harold P. & Rose (Goode) Myers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Albert (Bert) Zoth in December of 2001. Beloved mother of Deborah Newcomer and her husband David of Valencia, and Michael Zoth and his wife Jennifer of Erie, PA. Loving grandmother of 4 grandchildren, Amanda & Jonathan Newcomer and Spencer & Rickie Anne Zoth. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one sister. A private memorial service and interment will be held at Allegheny County Memorial Park. Mrs. Stewart was a member of St. Richard Catholic Church, a graduate of Carnegie Tech Class of 1935, and a Home Economics Teacher for Braddock High School. She was a long time resident of St. Barnabas Retirement Village until she went to live with her devoted son Joe and his wife.
