Walter G. Klein, Jr., age 73 of Ross Township, on Tuesday, August 27, 2002 in Wexford House. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on January 14, 1929, he was the son of the late Walter and Amelia (Navilliat) Klein. Walter proudly served his country as a Navy Veteran and before his retirement was employed in the Specialty Metals Industry where he worked as a warehouseman for Williams and Co. Mr. Klein is survived by his beloved wife, Norma J. (Gass) Klein; three children, Robert G. and his wife Nancy of Ross Township, Gregory T. of Franklin, PA and Kimberly J. Zech and her husband, Karl of Hampton and a sister, Evelyn Kaminsky and her husband, Ab of Plum Boro. Also survived by 4 grandchildren, Kyle and Abigail Klein of Ross Township and Kory and Kiersten Zech of Hampton. Family will receive friends THURSDAY 4:00 - 8:00 pm at the Schellhaas Funeral Home Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View "A Pursuit of Excellence Award Firm" www.schellhaasfh.com. Ruth E. (Cummings) Griffith, age 77 of West View, on Wednesday August 28, 2002 in Suburban General Hospital. Born March 15, 1925 in Millvale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Bertha (Balker) Cummings. Mrs. Griffith worked as a homemaker and loving wife and mother. Survivors include her beloved husband, Donald W. Griffith; loving children, Donald R. Griffith of West View and Diane C. Ehrin of Elizabeth Township. Also 3 grandchildren, Steven, Brandon and Shannon Ehrin. Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her sister, Margaret Irwin. Berna Focht Hedstrom

Berna Focht Hedstrom, age 94 of Richland Twp, Gibsonia, formerly of Wellsboro, PA died on Thursday, July 25, 2002. Born on December 31, 1907 in Wellsboro, PA, she was the daughter of the late Irvine J. & Carrie (Roblyer) Focht. Beloved wife of the late Hartwig G. Hedstrom who died on Sept 1, 1975. Survived by her Sister - in - law, Ingborg Paterick of Beaver Falls, and dear friends the James Malcolm Family of Richland Twp. Friends will be received Saturday 2-4 & 7- until time of service at 8:30 p.m. in the Schellhaas Funeral Home, Ltd., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, a "Pursuit of Excellence" award firm. Rev. Mark Stewart of the Bakerstown United Methodist Church will officiate the service at 8:30 pm in the funeral home. Interment will be held Monday, July 29, 12:00 noon at Wellsboro cemetery in Wellsboro, PA.

Melvin J. Huebner, age 61 of West View, on Monday, June 24, 2002 at Surburban General Hospital. Born December 10, 1940 in Pittsburgh, he was the beloved son of the late Chrysoston and Marie Huebner. Loving husband of Carol (Morris) Huebner and loving father of Richard M. Huebner and his wife, Nancy of West View and Thomas J. Huebner and his wife, Suzan of Franklin Park. Also survived by four grandghildren, Evan Huebner, Danny Huebner, Savannah Huebner, and Austin Huebner; brother of Chris Huebner, Irma Siedlecki, Fred Huebner, and Joyce Chuderwicz, and a niece, Debbie Huebner. Melvin was a retired captain for the Allegheny County Fire Department and West View Fire Department #2. He was also a Veteran of the United States Navy. Family will receive friends on Wednesday and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Schellhaas Funeral Home, Inc., 388 Center Avenue, West View, a "Pursuit of Excellence" award firm. Beloved husband of the late Mary (Huber) Gajdusek, to whom he was married to for 50 years. Brother of Viola Everett of Wisconsin and Edward Gajdusek of Saxonburg. Mr. Gajdusek was a retired carpenter.
