E. LEONA HENNESSY
E. Leona Hennessy, 76, of N. Lincoln Street, Duncannon, died Tuesday, July 7, 1998 in Messiah Village, Mechanicsburg.
She was born Aug. 19, 1921 in Duncannon to the late Thomas J. and Ruth E. (Steele) Bixler.
She was a retired state employee and a member of the Pennsylvania State Employees Retirement Union; Asbury United Methodist Church and Duncannon High School Alumni Association.
She was the widow of Clarence R. Hennessy.
Surviving are a son, Mark E. of Dillsburg; a daughter, Sheila A. Miller of Pine Grove; four sisters, V. Bethea Bixler and Burnadetta I. Bixler, both of Duncannon, Ruth E. Bixler of Harrisburg, and Anna R. Pennington of Benton; and a granddaughter, Rachel Hennessey.
Services were held July 11 in Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon, with the Rev. David Willard officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery, Duncannon.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 27 N. High St., Duncannon 17020, or American Cancer Society, 1500 N. Second St., Harrisburg 17102.

GEORGE M. HENNINGER SR.
George M. Henninger Sr., 80, of Newport RR 4 died Friday, March 27, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp.; was a Navy veteran of World War II; and a member of Newport American Legion, Newport VFW and Newport Social Order of Owls.
Surviving are his wife, Betty M. Speck Henninger; five sons, Howard of Middletown, David of Carlisle, George M. Jr. of West Fairview, Jeff, at home, and Donald of Harrisburg; three daughters, Mary Ann Gouse of Camp Hill, and Shelly Henninger and Lynn Frey, both of West Fairview; a brother, John of Colorado; three sisters, Marion Moore of Colorado, and Betty Casner and Kathy Henninger, both of Newport; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 31 in Sullivan Funeral Home, Enola. Burial was in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.

A. BEATRICE HENRY
A. Beatrice Henry, 91, formerly of Wertz Lane, Enola, died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Enola.
She was the widow of Melvin E. Henry.
Surviving are two sons, Dale R. of Enola and Glenn L. of Tolland, Conn.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 9 in Sullivan Funeral Home, Enola. Burial was in Stone Church Cemetery, Silver Spring Twp., Cumberland County.

DOROTHY M. HENRY
Dorothy M. Henry, 76, of Elliottsburg RR l died Saturday, May 30, at Carlisle Hospital.
She was born July 1, 1921 at New Bloomfield RR 1 to the late C. Ellwood and Susan (Wallace) Comp.
She was a retired machine operator at the Jaymont Garment Factory in New Bloomfield and Newport; a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Landisburg RR 1, where she also had served as a Sunday school teacher, New Bloomfield Fire Company and New Bloomfield Ambulance Club; and volunteered with the New Bloomfield Senior Citizens Center.
She was the widow of Robert L. Henry.
Surviving are two sisters, Helen E. Weller of Landisburg and Lena M. Kretzing of Elliottsburg; and one brother, Donald W. Comp of Newville.
Services were held June 3 in her church with the Revs. George C. Martz and E. Levain Fouse officiating. Burial was in the church Cemetery. Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

LESTER M. HENRY
Lester M. "Tuck" Henry, 70, of New Bloomfield RR 1, died Wednesday, July 22, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born Aug. 7, 1927 in Fayetteville to the late George and Rhoda (Finkey) Henry.
He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, and as a clerk from the Duncannon Post Office; was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II; and a member of West Shore Brethren in Christ Church, Mechanicsburg.
Surviving are his wife, Sylvia B. Stake Henry; two sons, Kevin L. of Chambersburg and Mark A. of Baltimore; two daughters, Vickie R. Arana of Miami and Kathy D. Henry of Fort Myers, Fla.; a brother, Cyril K. of Fayetteville; five sisters, Viola Eckel of Lebanon, Julie Horn and Lois Culler, both of Fayetteville, and Pauline Henry and Bonnie Cramer, both of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Services were held July 26 in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg, with the Rev. Gerald R. Tyrrell officiating. Burial was in Air Hill Cemetery, Greene Twp.

MARY ELLEN HENRY
Mary Ellen Henry, 83, of Marysville RR 2 died Wednesday, July 29, 1998 at home.
Surviving are her husband, William Henry; two daughters, Victoria L. Corsnitz of Enola and Crystal J. McMillen of Florence, S.C.; two sons, Howard R. of Hershey and Joseph D. of Marysville RR 2; two brothers, Clifton S. Eusebio of Upper Marlboro, Md., and Jack Eusebio of Brandywine, Md.; two sisters, Lois J. Cowan of White Plains, Md., and Barbara J. Disque of Shadyside, Md.; and six grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 1 in Neill Funeral Home, Paxtang. Burial was in Epiphany Church Cemetery, Forestville, Md.

KATHRYN E. HERZOG
Kathryn E. Herzog, 96, formerly of Enola, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998 in Kinkora Pythian Home, Duncannon.
She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Enola.
She was the widow of Henry H. Herzog. Surviving are a son, Richard L. of Enola; a daughter, Jeanette Dreese of Carlisle; a brother, Paul Nedig of Camp Hill; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held in Shoop's Cemetery, Harrisburg. Sullivan Funeral Home, Enola, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to her church, 22 Salt Road, Enola 17025.

ANNA E. HESS
Anna Elizabeth "Betty" Hess, 75, of Lancaster Road, Manheim, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 1998 in Lancaster General Hospital.
She was born in Rapho Township to the late Andrew L. and Edna (Kreider) Nissley.
She worked for 40 years at the Manheim Auto Auction; worked on the family farm; was a Republican committeewoman for Penn Twp.; a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Lancaster, and the Lititz Springs chapter 499, Eastern Star; and a former member of the Farm Women Society No. 18.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, John Henry Hess Sr.; two sons, John Henry Jr. of Manheim and James Douglas of Lebanon RR 6; a daughter, Mary Susan Brubaker of Manheim; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 15 in Buch Funeral Home, Manheim, with the Rev. Dr. H. David Loughery officiating. Burial was in East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
