GERALD G. WILSON
Gerald Gray "Jill" Wilson, 79, of Landisburg RR 2 died Monday, July 27, 1998 at Carlisle Hospital.
He was born Aug. 1, 1918 at Loysville to the late Harry C.P. and Laura Belle (Gray) Wilson.
He was a farmer and had worked at Kreider's Feed Mill, Loysville. He was a member of Tressler Memorial Lutheran Church, Loysville, Landisburg Fire Company, Landisburg Ambulance Club and Advanced Life Support 83.
Surviving are his wife, Nina M. Flickinger Wilson; a son, Gerald P. of Mechanicsburg; two daughters, Laura W. "Randy" Fennemore of Fredericksburg, Va., and Nina K. Berrier of Landisburg RR 2; one sister, Lou Ann Lyons of Loysville; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry W. and Joe S.; and two sisters, Dorothy C. Wilson and Edrie L. Shetron.
Services were held Aug. 2 in his church with the Rev. William Butts officiating. Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, handled arrangements.

GILBERT E. WOLAVER
Gilbert E. "Bub" Wolaver, 56, of Centre Twp., New Bloomfield RR 2, died Friday, May 29, 1998 in Morristown, N.J.
He was born July 19, 1941 in Enola to the late Joseph A. and Sara Mae (Derick) Wolaver.
He was an employee of ABF Trucking; and a member of Teamsters Union Local 776, Harrisburg, and Marysville Moose Lodge 107.
Surviving are his wife, Carol Hepler Wolaver; two sons, Chad of Etters and Kurt of Texas; two daughters, Brenda Drawbaugh of Etters and Heidi Reiker of Phoenix, Ariz.; five brothers, Lindy of Enola, George of Duncannon, Clinton of Mount Holly Springs, Ronald of Marysville and Joseph of Abilene, Texas; six sisters, Sue Pierce of Manchester, Judy Shelley of Enola, Wanda Wolaver and Romaine Shellenberger, both of Mechanicsburg, Garnetta Kimble of Bellefonte and Linda Baker of Hawthorne, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
Services were held June 3 in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, with the Rev. Alan K. Foor officiating. Burial was in Tri-County Memorial Gardens, Newberry Twp., York County.

ROBERT A. WOODS
Robert A. Woods, 69, of Forest Road, Chambersburg, died Friday, April 17, 1998 at home.
He was born Aug. 22, 1928 in Metal Twp., Franklin County, to the late Thomas V. and Flora C. (Corcelius) Woods.
He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, and was a retired farmer; an Air Force veteran; a member and former Sunday school superintendent of Lower Path Valley Presbyterian Church, Fannettsburg; and a member of Moose Lodge 842 and Fort Loudon American Legion Post 606.
Surviving are his wife, Patsy A. Keefer Book Woods; two sons, Robert S. of Lancaster and James A. of New Bloomfield; three daughters, Nancy A. Woods of York, Doris L. Woods of Spring Run and Carol L. Rhodes of Doylesburg; two stepdaughters, Sina Parson of Chambersburg and B. Jane Holby of Baltimore, Md.; two stepsons, Ronald Holby of Norfolk, Va., and Brian Holby of Carlisle; three brothers, John T. of San Antonio, Texas, Arthur E. of Mount Joy and Richard E. of Nichols, N.Y.; a sister, Shirley M. Lock of Fall City, Neb.; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his former wife, Betty L. Shaner Woods, on March 2, 1975, and two brothers, Paul W. and Gerald E.
Services were held April 22 in Agett Funeral Home, Dry Run, with the Rev. Ted Hale officiating. Burial was in Lower Path Valley Cemetery, Fannettsburg.

RODNEY E. YOCUM
Rodney E. Yocum, 41, of B&K Trailer Park, Newport, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born Nov. 8, 1956 in Carlisle to Helen M. Yocum of Loysville and the late Andrew B. Yocum.
He was a member of Newport Moose Lodge 1562 and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, New Bloomfield; bowled with Perry Lanes, New Bloomfield; and assistant with Assembly of God food distribution in Newport.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Diane A. Yocum; two brothers, Richard of Dillsburg and Robert of Blain; and three sisters, Shirley Smith, Bonnie Bishop and Darlene Lockman, all of Carlisle.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

SHERIDAN L. YOHN
Sheridan L. Yohn, 85, of Newport RR 3 died Monday, June 29, 1998 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born April 3, 1913 in Millerstown to the late David W. and S. Margaret "Bucher" Yohn.
He was retired from the state Department of Labor and Industry and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He was a member and Sunday school superintendent of Donnally Mills United Methodist Church; and member of Newport Lodge 381 F&AM and Royal Arch Chapter 238, Perry Juniata Shrine Club, Zembo Temple, Harrisburg Consistory, Newport American Legion; and was a former Tuscarora Twp. secretary and Juniata Twp. Planning Commission member.
Surviving are his wife, Marian Smith Yohn; two sons, Richard of Camp Hill and Brent of Newport; and a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Leslie, Issac and Philip Yohn; and two sisters, Grace Laverty and Bertha Shull.
Services were held July 3 at his church with the Rev. Arthur Montgomery officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

REV. CHARLES H. ZACHER
The Rev. Charles H. Zacher, 78, of Fickes Avenue, Newport, died Monday, Nov. 2, 1998 in Perry Village Nursing Home, New Bloomfield.
He was born Aug. 17, 1920 in Pittsburgh to the late Charles H. and Elfrieda (Krager) Zacher.
He was a retired Lutheran minister, having served churches in Armstrong and Erie counties, Kersarge, Charleroi and Leechburg and as interim minister with Mount Zion Lutheran Church, Landisburg, and St. John's (Barner's) Church, Liverpool RR; a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church; an Army veteran of World War II; and a graduate of Thiel College with a master of divinity degree from Northwestern Theological Seminary, Minneapolis.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred L. Zacher; a son, Mark P. of Maryland; three daughters, Susan M. Zacher of Harrisburg, Deborah L. Zacher of Waynesboro and Rebecca A. Pagone of Blairsville; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Nov. 5 in St. Michael's Cemetery, Ford City.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church, P.O. Box 257, Newport 17074.

G. DALE "PAP" ZEIDERS
G. Dale "Pap" Zeiders, 100 years and nine months old, of Ickesburg, formerly of Enola, died Friday, Jan. 30, 1998 at the home of his guardians, Larry and Mindy Deatrick and their sons, Larry II, Waylon and Luke.
He spent most of his life self-employed and retired as owner/operator of the G. Dale Zeiders Boat House, and was the last living original member of the Harrisburg Kipona Committee.
He was the widower of Sara M. Zeiders.
In addition to his guardians, with whom he lived, surviving are two daughters, Lorna G. Sheetz of Enola and Rose M. Baker of Harrisburg; five granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; and two great-great-granddaughters; and four great-great-grandsons.
There will be no viewing. Burial will be at the convenience of his guardians and family.
Sullivan Funeral Home, Enola, handled arrangements.

ELMER ZEIGLER
Elmer Wesley Zeigler, 74, of Fox Hollow Road, Shermans Dale, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 1998 at Forest Park Health Center, Carlisle.
He was born Jan. 3, 1924 in Penn Twp. to the late Frank and Dorothy (Miller) Zeigler.
He was retired from Frog & Switch Mfg., Carlisle; an Army veteran of World War II, receiving the Bronze Star Citation Award, Campaign Medal with five Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, Victory Medal European, African, Middle Eastern Jubilee Liberty Medal; and a member of Shermans Dale Ambulance.
Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Mae Barrick Zeigler; a son, Wesley of Shermans Dale; two daughters, Joyce Durham and Roxanne Sweger, both of Shermans Dale; six sisters, Sara Shelley of Shermans Dale, Dorothy Danner of Mechanicsburg, Bessie Kennedy and Joy Ann Reisinger, both of Landisburg, and Faye Barrick and Mary Yohn, both of Carlisle; two brothers, Newell Zeigler of Carlisle and Keith Zeigler of Shermans Dale; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Feb. 28 in Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home, Carlisle, with the Rev. R. Bruce Woolever officiating. Burial was in Westminster Memorial Gardens, Carlisle.
