GEORGE A. LYONS
George A. Lyons, 46, of Fulton, Mo., died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999 at home.
He was born Jan. 27, 1953 in Perry County to Elizabeth Hench Lyons of Elliottsburg and the late Dean Lyons.
He had been employed by campus facilities at the University of Missouri since Feb. 25, 1985; was a graduate of Newport High School and Lebanon Valley College; a charter member of Mid Missouri Civil War Round Table; a longtime member of the Harrisburg Civil War Round Table; and enjoyed motorcycling, traveling, history and University of Missouri Tiger sports.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Linn Wenger Lyons; his stepfather, Dale Hench of Elliottsburg, and a sister and brother-in-law, Tana and Ralph Parrett of Elizabethtown.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Jean Knouse.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28, at Messiah Lutheran Church, Elliottsburg.

STELLA C. MCCOY
Stella C. McCoy, 93, of Stonebridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Duncannon, and formerly of Loysville, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 1999 at the center.
She was born Dec. 7, 1905 in Spring Twp. to the late Harry W. and Linnie (Baker) Neely.
She was a member of Tressler Memorial Lutheran Church, Loysville, and its Ladies Aid Society, and a former member of the adult Sunday school class.
She was the widow of John W. McCoy, who died Jan. 20, 1989.
Surviving are two daughters, Jean L. McMahon of Mountville and Patricia A. Long of Elliottsburg; a sister, Dorothy Haines of Prescott, Ariz.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 18, in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. Donald March officiating. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery, Loysville.
Viewing will from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.

JAMES O. MILLER SR.
James O. Miller Sr., 65, of Millerstown RR 1 died Thursday, July 29, 1999 at home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1934 in Harrisburg to the late Laverne A. and Rebecca (Palm) Miller.
He was retired from Big A Auto Parts; a former employee of Kayser and Alleman of Harrisburg; a former member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church of Penbrook and Penbrook VFW; a member of St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church of New Bloomfield, Penbrook Fire Company, Millerstown Moose 925; and enjoyed hunting, fishing and country music.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Bastardi Miller; a son, James O. Jr. of Penbrook; three daughters, Donna Conrad, Tammy Hoover and Kim Watts, all of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Larry L. of Landisburg; a sister, Jean L. Lucero of Steelton; six grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Aug. 2 in his church with Father Robert Sharman officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.
Myers Funeral Home, Newport, handled arrangements.

JOHN F. MILLER
John F. Miller, 75, of Sixth Street, Newport, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 1999 in Polyclinic Hospital, Harrisburg.
He was born Feb. 15, 1924 in Liverpool to Esther (Lower) Miller of Duncannon and the late Albert S. Miller.
He was a former employee of the Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg, and last worked for the consulting firm of Booz-Allen and Hamilton in Harrisburg; attended Liverpool High School; an Army veteran of World War II; and a member of Lost Creek Presbyterian Church, McAlisterville, F&AM Lodge 381, Newport, and the Harrisburg Consistory.
In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife of 52 years, Ruth Lowe Miller; one son, Stephen J. of Newport; six brothers, Fred of Marysville, Ronald, Richard and Gerald, all of Liverpool, Lewis of Millerstown and Dennis of Palmyra; four sisters, Sarah Reinard, Dorothy Leach and Floranna Leach, all of Port Trevorton, and Nancy Willard of Liverpool.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Barry, and two sisters, Geraldine Lower and Marilyn Schrader.
Services were held Nov. 6 in Garman Funeral Home, Liverpool, with the Rev. Graham C. Fowler officiating. Burial was in Bucks United Methodist Cemetery, Newport RR 1.

RALPH E. MORRISON
Ralph E. Morrison, 54, of Elliottsburg RR 2 died Thursday, Sept. 30, 1999 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
He was born Oct. 3, 1944 at Elliottsburg to the late Clyde R. and Barbara L. (Foose) Morrison.
He was a painter for Local 411, Harrisburg, and a member of the Blain Sportsman's Club, North American Fisherman's Association, and a social member of American Legion Post 177, Newport, Marysville VFW Post 882 and Loyal Order of Moose 925, Millerstown.
Surviving are his wife, Doreen E. Gutshall Morrison; one son, Daniel E. of Shermans Dale; one daughter, Ranee E. of Landisburg; one brother, Keith Morrison of Landisburg; and two grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 4 in Nickel Funeral Home, Loysville, with the Rev. John S. Kipp officiating. Burial was in Blain Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blain Sportsman's Club, Blain 17006.

JOSEPH H. MYERS
Joseph H. Myers, 33, of Newport RR 4 died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999 at home.
He was born March 15, 1965 in Camp Hill.
He was an employee of Ingram Micro in Harrisburg; a graduate of Cretemonee High School, Monee, Ill.; a member of Central Pennsylvania Rock and Mineral Club; attended Highland Presbyterian Church, Newport; and enjoyed hunting, fishing and metal-detecting. Surviving are a son, Samuel T. of Shermans Dale; his mother, Muriel "Betty" McVey Myers, with whom he lived; a brother, William R. Jr. of York, S.C.; and two sisters, Linda L. Zentz of San Diego and Dawn D. Pohl of Farmville, Va.
He was preceded in death by his father, William R. Myers Sr.
Services were held Jan. 8 in Myers Funeral Home, Newport, with the Rev. Crea Clark officiating. Burial was in Newport Cemetery.

KENNETH R. MYERS
Kenneth R. Myers, 86, formerly of Millerstown, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 1999 in the Church of God Home, Carlisle.
He was born June 19, 1913 in Centre Twp. to the late John F. and Esther (Rudy) Myers.
He was a retired postmaster; managed several A&P grocery stores including ones in Newport and Millerstown; an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 88th Infantry in Italy; a charter member of VFW Post 5049; a member and former deacon of Central Baptist Church, Millerstown RR 1; a life member of F&AM Lodge 319, New Bloomfield; and formerly active in Meals-on-Wheels, Millerstown, Riverview Cemetery Association, Senior Citizens of Millerstown and Perry Human Services.
He was the widower of Margaret Doughton Myers.
Surviving are two sons, K. Duane of Carlisle and David D. of Boca Raton, Fla.; two sisters, Virginia Lesh of Newport and Dora Lawhead of Clearfield; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services were held Sept. 21 in his church with the Rev. Robert Meyer officiating. Burial was in Riverview Cemetery, Millerstown.

MARGARET S. MYERS
Margaret S. Myers, 99, of W. McClure St., New Bloomfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 1999 at home.
She was a native of Manassa, Blain RR 1.
She was the widow of Charles H. Myers.
Surviving are a son, Roy of Enola; a daughter, Margaret McBride, with whom she lived; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild.
Services were held in Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield. Burial was in Stone Church Cemetery, Silver Spring Twp.
