Born May 28, 1909, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Thomas G. and Violet Picking White.

She was a 1927 graduate of Waynesboro High School.

Prior to retiring, she had been employed as a contracting officer at Fort Ritchie, Cascade, for 15 years.

She was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, Waynesboro and the Sodality of the church.

She was a member of the former AARP Chapter 739, Waynesboro, and a member of National AARP.

She was the last of her immediate family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Thomas J. Hemler will be celebrant. The Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery, Waynesboro.

It was her request to have no public viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 12 N. Broad St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Arrangements are made by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

John Pensinger Jr.

ST. THOMAS, Pa. - John Pensinger Jr., 76, of 582 Loudon Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.

Born Sept. 19, 1923, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late John and Reba Poe Pensinger.

He was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, for 28 years, retiring in 1986.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 842, Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599, both of Chambersburg, and Detrich-Brechbill Post 6123 American Legion of St. Thomas.

He is survived by his wife, Rose M. Fisckio Pensinger, whom he married Dec. 19, 1947; two sons, Gerald L. Pensinger of Shippensburg, Pa., and Donald R. Pensinger of Antioch, Tenn.; two sisters, Edna Hippensteel of Shippensburg and Dorothy Jumper of Chambersburg; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Terry L. Hoke will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Orville D. Fox

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Orville D. Fox, 96, of 13903 Harbaugh Church Road, and formerly of East Irvin Ave., Hagerstown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, April 30, 2000, at his home.

Born Dec. 23, 1903, in Shady Grove, Pa., he was the son of the late John David and Anna Mary Ringer Fox.

His first wife, Mary E. He was a graduate of Shippensburg Normal School, now Shippensburg University.

He was employed as a sales counselor with Rest Haven Cemetery for over 50 years.

He was a life member of Hagerstown Church of the Brethren.

He is survived by a niece, Pearl Diahl of Waynesboro; a nephew, Chester Fox of New Oxford, Pa.; a great-niece; a great-nephew and a caregiver, Cathy M. Minnich of Waynesboro.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Fox; three brothers, Benjamin Fox, Raymond Fox and Wilbur Fox.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Dean M. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Ellene F. Forbes

She was a graduate of Chambersburg High School.

She volunteered at Chambersburg Hospital.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda J. Wright of Chambersburg; three sons, Raymond L. Forbes of Chambersburg, Arthur L. Forbes Jr. of Dillsburg, Pa., and James P. Forbes of Fayetteville, Pa.; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Romayne Swan, in 1997.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Linda B. Harter will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

Hazel I. Fox

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Hazel Iris Coldsmith Fox, 76, a resident of The Snook Home, and formerly of Main Street, Marion, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, April 29, 2000, at the nursing home following an extended illness.

Born Aug. 22, 1923, in Guitners, Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Paul L. and Laura H. Keefer Coldsmith.

Her husband, Wayne E. Fox, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Dec. 28, 1976. They were married Dec. 16, 1962.

She was employed as a machine operator for Stanley Co., Chambersburg, for many years. She was also a student recruiter for Central Technical Institute. Prior to retiring in 1985, she was a counselor for Franklin County Office on Aging in Chambersburg.

She was a member of Heidelberg United Church of Christ, Marion.

She was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 842 Ladies Auxiliary, Chambersburg, Harry D. Ziegler VFW Post 6319 Ladies Auxiliary, Greencastle, and National AARP. She was a former member of Greencastle Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by a son, Dennis L. McGinnis of Marion; two grandsons, Patrick E. McGinnis of Marion and Michael L. McGinnis of Inwood, W.Va., and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Calvin Coldsmith, in 1985.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 166 Colorado St., Marion. The Rev. John A. Toms will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St., Greencastle, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 166 Colorado Street, Marion, PA 17235.
