Born April 25, 1929, in Waynesboro, she was the daughter of the late Albert C. and Grace C. Kelly Ingels.

She attended Waynesboro schools.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Fairview Avenue Brethren in Christ Church in Waynesboro.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James E. Newcomer; three daughters, Anne Newcomer of Simsbury, Conn., Ellen Diane Sipes of McConnellsburg, Pa. and Julie Lynn Fultz of Waynesboro; two sisters, Edith Snader of Waynesboro and Patricia Kramer of Harrisburg, Pa.; two brothers, Earl Ingels of Waynesboro and Bruce Ingels of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathleen Elizabeth Newcomer; sisters and brothers.

Services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. Pastor John D. Fickett will officiate. Burial will be in Price's Church Cemetery in Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Robert W. Raisbeck

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Robert W. Raisbeck, 68, of 24 Nottingham Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Feb. 19, 1932, in Hazelgreen, Wis., he was the son of the late Wayne H. and Verna L. Cherry Raisbeck.

He retired in 1986 as a computer systems analyst from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg . He had 39 years of service with the U.S. government.

A veteran of the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member and past president of Chambersburg Club; Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion; Hume-McNeil-Byers AMVETS Post 224, where he was treasurer of the Sons of the American Legion; Marine Corps League; Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW, all of Chambersburg; and volunteered through AARP to do taxes for the elderly.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Clarke Raisbeck, whom he married Jan. 8, 1965; a daughter, Bobbe Lyn Stavros of New Harmony, Utah; two sons, Michael W. Raisbeck of Salt Lake City and Thomas J. Raisbeck of Alexandria, Va.; three sisters, Ruth Cross of Dickeyville, Wis., Jane Cordier of Owosso, Mich. and Jean Heins of Dubuque, Iowa; two brothers, Thomas S. Raisbeck of Seattle and James S. Raisbeck of Owosso; an aunt; six grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held in Norland Cemetery. The Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home in Chambersburg.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, Lutheran Home Care Services, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Thelma G. Pisle

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Thelma G. Zeger Pisle, 83, of 6602 Horst Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Nov. 2, 1916, in Franklin County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Lottie Hager Zeger.

She attended Brown's Mill School.

She was a homemaker. She helped with the family farm.

She is survived by her husband, Garnet J. Pisle, whom she married in November 1939; two sons, John D. Pisle and Donald L. Pisle, both of Chambersburg; a sister, Genava Musselman of Greencastle, Pa.; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Harold Eugene Pisle; two sisters, Helen Crider and Evelyn Stouffer; and a brother, Emerrit Zeger.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. in Greencastle. The Rev. David G. Rawley will officiate. Burial will be in Brown's Mill Cemetery in Antrim Township, Pa.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Daniel J. Myers

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Daniel Jacob "Tucker" Myers, 81, of 2256 Shank Church Road, and formerly of 13690 Worleytown Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Aug. 26, 1918, in Franklin County, Pa., he was the son of the late Daniel W. and Daisy B. Minnich Myers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Elizabeth Keller Myers, in 1997. They were married March 19, 1938.

He attended Worleytown School.

He was employed as a truck driver by Greencastle Canning Co. Factory. Later, he was employed as a carpenter by Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg and Local Carpenter Union 340 of Hagerstown. A self-employed contractor, he built homes in the Greencastle area.

He was a member of Macedonia United Brethren Church in Greencastle.

He was a member of Local Carpenter Union 340 of Hagerstown.

He is survived by a daughter, Connie L. Fisher of Greencastle; a son, Tex R. Myers of Greencastle; two sisters, Edith Hawbaker and Alice Houck, both of Greencastle; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Macedonia United Brethren Church, 11887 Worleytown Road in Greencastle. The Rev. Gayle L. Ruble will officiate. Burial will be in Macedonia United Brethren Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Miller-Bowersox Funeral Home, 521 S. Washington St. in Greencastle.

William G. Shoemaker II

NORTH FORT MYERS, Fla. - William Guy Shoemaker II, 84, of North Fort Myers, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, May 23, 2000, in North Fort Myers.

Born Dec. 20, 1915, in Chambersburg, Pa., he was the son of the late William Guy Shoemaker I and the late Helen M. Shoemaker Van Swearingen.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Doris Mohler Shoemaker, in 1981.

He was a graduate of Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science; and received his masters' degree from Columbia University in New York.

He was a pharmacist in Gettysburg, Pa., and Chambersburg.

He was involved in research at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, helping to develop oral penicillin. He also did research for the drug company Rhroer.

He retired as bureau chief of the Bureau of Medical Standards for the state of Pennsylvania.

He was active in the Masonic order; and was past exultant ruler of the Elks of Gettysburg.

He is survived by two sons, William Guy Shoemaker III of Gettysburg and Stephan T. Shoemaker of Dillsburg, Pa.; a sister, Vivian Hooke of Carlisle, Pa.; four grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Arrangements are by Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Fred C. Hoffman

HUSTONTOWN, Pa. - Fred C. Hoffman, 83, of Hustontown, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pa.

Born Jan. 2, 1917, in Saltillo, Pa., he was the son of the late Russell and Emma Gladfelter Hoffman.

He retired in 1972 from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pa. after 26 years. Earlier, he was employed by Greencastle Packing Co. in Hustontown, and Knouse Foods in Chambersburg.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Germany and the Phillipines.

He attended Mount Tabor Church of the Nazarene of Hustontown.

He was a member of Hustontown Volunteer Fire Co.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth J. A. Barnett, whom he married April 15, 1944; a sister, Ethel McNeal of Lewistown, Pa.; two brothers, Lloyd Hoffman and Cloyd Hoffman, both of Three Springs, Pa.; nieces; nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Hoffman.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at M. R. Brown Funeral Home in Hustontown. The Rev. Duane Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Hustontown Cemetery, with military honors by Fulton Honor Guard.

Friends may call today from 2 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
