Born Sept. 18, 1923, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late F. Shull and Edna May Coble Skelly.

He worked as a dairy farmer for most of his life.

He was a member of Solomon's Evangelical Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, Julia A. Rice Skelly; three daughters, Faye L. Fox of Fayetteville, Pa., Barbara M. Bock of Waynesboro, Pa., and Jeanie M. Helman of Chambersburg; a son, Robert E. Skelly of Blairs Mills, Pa.; three sisters, Mary K. Shetler of Sebring, Fla., Ruth E. Dice of Dayton, Ohio, and Esther M. Reichard of Waynesboro; two brothers, Frank S. Skelly of Chambersburg and Paul C. Skelly of Newville, Pa.; seven grandchildren; a stepgrandchild and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Michael L. Skelly; and a daughter, Jenny S. Crider.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Solomon's Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Michael Allwein will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, which will be open from 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Solomon's Evangelical Lutheran Church Building Fund, 4856 Wayne Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Robert E. Nye

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Robert E. "Bobby" Nye, 47, of 1676 Gabler Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, June 9, 2000, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born June 14, 1952, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Paul E. and Freda M. Corwell Nye.

He was a 1970 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School; and, he attended Hagerstown Junior College from 1970 to 1971.

He worked as a police communications officer for the Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg for more than 20 years, retiring on Oct. 1, 1999. He had also served a short time as emergency management agency coordinator for Franklin County, Pa.; and as an assistant chief of the Chambersburg Fire Department until 1987.

He was a trainer for the Chambersburg Cardinals Football Team; an emergency medical technician instructor and trainer; a CPR instructor and trainer; and served as an emergency health services regional EMT skills test evaluator team leader. He also served as a Chambersburg Midget Football coach; was a member and former board member of Chambersburg Touchdown Club; a member of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW of Chambersburg; Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion of Chambersburg; Orrstown Lodge 262 F & AM; Harrisburg Consistory and Valley Forest No. 145; Tall Cedars of Lebanon of North America; served as past Grand Tall Cedar in 1991; a member of District 11 Officers and Past Officers Organization; Eastern Amputee Golf Association; Franklin Fire Co. of Chambersburg; and was involved with the Tall Cedars fundraising activities to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

He is survived by his wife, Karen A. Durf Nye, whom he married July 30, 1988; and a daughter, Amy M. Nye of Chambersburg.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. Kenneth E. Wenger will officiate.

Burial will be private.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be conducted at 8 p.m. by Orrstown Lodge 262 F & AM.

Memorial donations may be made to American Diabetes Association Franklin County Chapter, c/o Doris J. Goetz, 219 W. Second St., Waynesboro, PA 17268; or American Heart Association, Franklin/Fulton Division, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Elizabeth M. McLaughlin

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Elizabeth M. "Libby" McLaughlin, 82, a resident of Caledonia Manor and formerly of 207 Conodoquinet Ave., Camp Hill, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, June 9, 2000, at Caledonia Manor.

Born Jan. 13, 1918, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Ethel Watson Arris Sr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William McLaughlin, in 1996.

She was a 1936 graduate of Chambersburg High School.

After 30 years, she retired as a self-employed beautician in Harrisburg, Pa.

She attended St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Camp Hill.

She is survived by a son, Jack R. Harmon of Florida; a brother, John Arris Jr. of Chambersburg; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Rolling Green Cemetery, 1811 Carlisle Road in Camp Hill. The Rev. Keith Eslinger will officiate.

It was her request to have no viewing.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Margaret I. Dull

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Margaret Irene Oliver Dull, 92, of 144 Brown Street, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at her home.

Born August 23, 1907, in Antrim Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Olive Grove Oliver.

She attended the New Franklin School.

She was employed as an inspector for the Waynesboro Knitting Mill during the 1940s.

She was a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church of Waynesboro and the Adult Sunday School Class. She taught Sunday school classes for over 40 years.

She is survived by three sons, Theodore F. Dull Jr. of Waynesboro, Ray E. Dull of Chambersburg and Carl H. Dull of Red Bluff, Calif.; a sister, Janet Rosenberry of Chambersburg, Pa.; a brother, Robert Oliver of Chambersburg; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janet L. Crone; four sisters, Doris I. Oliver, Nellie M. Oliver, Helen C. Oliver and Louise Wilkison, and two brothers, Floyd C. Oliver and Arthur G. Oliver.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, 116 Snider Ave., Waynesboro. The Rev. Dwan N. Newsome, the Rev. Walter A. Stuart and the Rev. Croft M. Pentz will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. There will be no viewing at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary Assembly of God Church, 116 Snider Ave., Waynesboro, Pa. 17268.

Janice L. Gehman

LANCASTER, Pa. - Janice Lynn Gehman, 50, of Buttonwood Drive, Lititz, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, June 8, 2000, at Essa Flory Hospice Center in Lancaster.

Born May 16, 1950, in Frederick, Md., she was the daughter of Harold L. Creeger of Thurmont, Md., and the late Muriel M. Woody Creeger.

She graduated from Smithsburg High School and Lebanon Valley College.

She was a former kindergarten teacher in the Palmyra school district.

She was a member of Dove Christian Fellowship, Ephrata-Lititz.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, David L. Gehman, two sons, Jonathan D. Gehman and Ryan M. Gehman; two daughters, Sarah E. and Bethany L. Gehman, both at home; and a sister, Judy Myers of Atlanta, Ga.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John M. Creeger.

Memorial services will be Sunday, June 11 at 4 p.m. at Dove Christian Fellowship, 1755 W. Main St., Ephrata, Pa. Pastor Dwayne Britton and Reyna Britton will officiate.

Memorial donations may be made to Essa Flory Hospice Center, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, Pa. 17604.
