CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Glenn W. Snyder, 86, of Manorcare Health Services, and formerly of 1048 Westgate Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at Manorcare.

Born June 26, 1913, in Gettysburg, Pa., he was the son of the late John A. Sr. and Clara Cook Snyder.

He was a 1930 graduate of Taneytown (Md.) High School.

He retried in 1965 as a police officer with the Borough of Chambersburg. He owned and operated Snyder's Tire Service in Chambersburg for 25 years.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Chambersburg.

He was a member of George Washington Lodge 143 F & AM of Chambersburg; Harrisburg Consistory; Fraternal Order of Police; AARP; and Landis-McCleaf Detachment Marine Corps League of Chambersburg.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret E. Biesecker Snyder, whom he married Aug. 14, 1934; a daughter, Dorothy B. Eslinger of Chambersburg; a sister, Beatrice Cromwell of Chambersburg; a brother, John A. Snyder Jr. of Chambersburg; a grandson; and four great-grandsons.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. A. Robert Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery in Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, with a Masonic service by members of George Washington Lodge 143 F & AM at 8 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church Building Fund, 750 Norland Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Harold I. Lentz

ROUZERVILLE, Pa. - Harold I. "Ike" Lentz, 81, of 12147 Broad St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, April 4, 2000, at Waynesboro (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Sept. 11, 1918, in Hancock, he was the son of the late George A. Sr. and Lelia V. Barton Lentz.

He was a 1937 graduate of Hancock High School.

He worked for the U.S. government in the motorpool of Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pa. from 1948 until the mid-1950's. He worked until 1968 at Fort Ritchie in Cascade in the supply warehouse. From 1968 until his retirement in 1987 he was the Rouzerville, Pa., postmaster.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II in the European Theater.

He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rouzerville, taught Sunday school, was Sunday school superintendent and the Institutional Representative of Fellowship of Churches.

He was a member and past president of Rouzerville Ruritan Club; a member of Franklin-Fulton League of Postmasters; National League of Retired Postmasters; National Association of Retired Federal Employees Chapter 306 of Hagerstown; and National AARP.

He is survived by his wife, Laura C. Sease Lentz, whom he married March 30, 1943; a daughter, Pamela J. Ridenhour of Hagerstown; a brother, George A. Lentz Jr. of Waynesboro; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Virginia Hovermale and Geraldine and a granddaughter.

Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. The Rev. Steven Amundson will officiate. Burial will be in Harbaugh Church Cemetery in Franklin County, Pa.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Ora E. Lesher

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Ora E. Lesher, 91, of Shook Home, and formerly of 1234 Fox Den Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at Shook Home.

Born Nov. 9, 1908, in Antrim Township, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Martin Dull and Emma Hartman Fox.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam W. Lesher, in 1976. They were married in December 1935.

She had been employed by Interwoven Co. and Pennsylvania Apple Packers, both of Chambersburg. She and her husband owned and operated Woodstock Orchards in Chambersburg.

She attended King Street United Brethren Church in Chambersburg.

She was a member of National AARP.

She is survived by a daughter, Ruth Ann Lesher of Chambersburg; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.

Services will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. Lester F. Stine will officiate. Burial will be in Brown's Mill Cemetery in Kauffman, Pa.

Visitation will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Shook Home, 55 S. Second St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Roy David Robinson

JAMES CREEK, Pa. - Roy David Robinson, 56, of James Creek, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Feb. 14, 1944, in Martinsburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Roy William and Jane Bitner Robinson.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era.

He was a counselor for Youth Forestry Camp.

He was a member of VFW Post 1599.

He is survived by his former wife, Elaine De Flaun of Shippensburg, Pa.; one daughter, Heather Robinson Brode of Shippensburg; one son, David T. Robinson of Chambersburg; one sister, Elva Jane Taylor of Martinsburg; four brothers, Howard Robinson of Edgewater, Fla., and Robert W. Robinson, James R. Robinson, and Andrew E. Robinson, all of Martinsburg; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. at Rosedale Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Rosedale Funeral Chapel.

Anabelle G. Young

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Anabelle G. Young, 60, of 30 Disert Drive, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, April 5, 2000, at the scene of an automobile accident on Molly Pitcher Highway south of Greencastle.

Born Aug. 1, 1939, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd K. and N. Virginia Horst Martin.

A self-employed licensed beautician, she operated a beauty salon for more than 15 years. Earlier, she had sold Dutchmaid Clothes and worked at Martins grocery store.

She attended Clay Hill Union Sunday School in Clay Hill, Pa. Previously, she attended Salem Ridge Mennonite Church near Greencastle, and Antrim Brethren in Christ Church near Chambersburg, Pa.

She is survived by four sons, Douglas A. Young of West Valley City, Utah, Michael A. Young and Rodney H. Young, both of Greencastle, and Kenneth L. Young of Marion, Pa.; five sisters, Almeda Barnhart of Greencastle, Violet Hege of Chambersburg, Lois J. Senseneg of Lititz, Pa., Norma Jean Bollinger of Waynesboro, Pa. and Genevieve S. Martin of Canada; five brothers, Emory E. Martin, Stephen L. Martin and Gideon E. Martin, all of Waynesboro, James M. Martin of State Line, Pa. and Marvin K. Martin of Hagerstown; and 13 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jason Abram Martin.

Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, 24 E. Kauffman Road in Chambersburg. The Rev. Ky R. Searcy will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St. in Greencastle; and Sunday at 1 p.m. at the church.
