Born Aug. 20, 1946, in Quarryville, Pa., he was the son of Dorothy Alexander Ankney of Quarryville and the late Kenneth R. Ankney Sr.

He was a graduate of Solanco High School, Quarryville.

He was employed at Steel Systems, Quarryville as general manager. He was a certified welder and had been employed by Mechanical Welding, Peach Bottom, Pa. and he was then self-employed in the welding/construction business and later was employed at both Frick Company, Waynesboro, Pa. and Nitterhouse Concrete, Chambersburg.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 842, Chambersburg.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Shirley Etter Cox Ankney, whom he married in 1988; one daughter, Nancy J. Potts of Mountville, Pa.; one son, John T. Ankney of Peach Bottom; two stepdaughters, Rhonda L. Mower and Tina L. Moody, both of Chambersburg; one stepson, Dana R. Cox of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Dottie Williams of Willow Street, Pa. and Penny Mylin of Quarryville; one brother, Barry Ankney of Illinois eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one grandson, J. Mason Rohrer.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Harold E. Yeager will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

James A. Arnold

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - James A. Arnold, 54, of 1279 Second Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, at York Hospital, York, Pa.

Born Sept. 19, 1945, in Dry Run, Pa., he was the son of Annie B. Guyer Arnold of Shippensburg, Pa. and the late Lester E. Arnold.

He was a graduate of Shippensburg High School.

He was employed at Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg.

He was a member of ABC Bowling Congress.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Carolyn L. Wenger Arnold, whom he married in 1964; three daughters, Tammy S. Wingert of Mercersburg, Pa., Tracy K. Robison of Marion, Pa. and Terry L. Arnold of Chambersburg; one son, Tobey Arnold of Marion; one brother, Ronald E. Arnold of Shippensburg and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Patrick B. Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Daniel L. Cramer

Born Feb. 10, 1946, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Margarette Rock Cramer Yeager of Chambersburg and the late Earl C. Cramer.

He was employed with Chambersburg Engineering Company, Chambersburg.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, Chambersburg. He was an usher for more than 25 years and had served as head usher for the past 10 years. He was a member of Christ Crusades Sunday School Class.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Bonnie J. Henry Cramer, whom he married in 1965; two daughters, Lisa M. Cramer of Chambersburg and Brenda L. Parks of St. Thomas, Pa.; five brothers, Earl Cramer of Marion, Pa., Charles Cramer of South Mountain, Pa., Ronald Cramer of Mont Alto, Pa., Robert Cramer of Mercersburg, Pa., and Harold Cramer of Carlisle, Pa.; his stepfather, Frank Yeager of Chambersburg and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Renna C. Cramer.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, 2509 Black Gap Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Daryl M. Elliott will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant United Brethren Church, 2509 Black Gap Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Marvin E. Henry

Born Aug. 24, 1928, in Chambersburg, he was the son of Herbert Henry of Caledonia Manor Nursing Home in Fayetteville, Pa., and the late Alice Wilkinson Henry.

He retired from Kingwood High School in Kingwood, W.Va.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by his second wife, Pauline Swailes Henry of Chambersburg; seven children, Eugene E. Henry of Biglerville, Pa., Marvin A. Henry, Gloria J. Henry and Richard M. Henry, all of Chambersburg, Tracy L. Hamilton of Vanceburg, Ky., Dennis R. Henry of Maysville, Ky., and Thomas E. Henry of Winston-Salem, N.C.; five stepchildren, Eugene R. Henry Jr., Charles A. Henry, Rodney Elwood Henry, Marsha Shoemaker and Karen Reitz, all of Chambersburg; 24 grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth R. Henry; a sister; and a brother.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave. in Chambersburg. The Rev. Art Brown and Gene Niswander will officiate. Burial will be in Flohr's Church Cemetery in Cashtown, Pa., with military graveside honors conducted by members of Charles Nitterhouse Post No. 1599 VFW.

There will be no viewing; however, the family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 225 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Cynthia N. Reed

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Cynthia N. "Cindy" Reed, 12, of 11500 South Mountain Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Oct. 29, 1999, after being struck by an automobile on South Mountain Road, near the intersection with Old Forge Road.

Born March 2, 1987, in Chambersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of Floyd L. and Barbara Carbaugh Reed Jr. of Fayetteville.

She was a seventh-grade student at Waynesboro Middle School.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother, Matthew A. Reed of South Mountain, Pa.; maternal grandparents, Richard and Dolores Leininger Carbaugh of St. Thomas, Pa.; maternal great-grandmother, Nellie Leininger of Mercersburg, Pa.; maternal great-grandfather Kenneth Carbaugh of Fayetteville; aunts; uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Floyd L. Reed Sr.

Services will be Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. The Rev. C. Edward Morgan will officiate.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the family of Cynthia N. Reed, 11500 South Mountain Road, Fayetteville, PA 17222.

Jeanette H. Peters

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter S. Hamsher, in 1969; and her second husband, Charles A. "Bus" Peters, in 1995.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Park Avenue United Methodist Church in Chambersburg.

She was a member of Womens Auxiliary of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post No. 1599 VFW of Chambersburg.

She is survived by a daughter, Marjorie S. Rosenberry of Chambersburg; a son, Walter S. Hamsher of McLean, Va.; a sister, Nancy C. Neil of Chambersburg; four brothers, Melvin G. Geiman Jr. of York, Pa., William Geiman of Boiling Springs, Pa., James Geiman and Thomas H. Geiman, both of Chambersburg; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Lincoln Cemetery, 948 Lincoln Way East in Chambersburg. The Rev. Melvin G. Geiman Jr. will officiate.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
