FORT LOUDON, Pa. - Cora E. Glass, 74, of 1503 Path Valley Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at her home.

Born Dec. 15, 1924, in Fort Loudon, she was the daughter of the late James and Zelda Leab Rosenberry.

She was a former employee of Mercersburg Dress Factory; and was last employed by U-Wanna-Wash Frock Co. in Fort Loudon. She retired in 1987.

She was a member of Fort Loudon United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, John William Glass, whom she married Dec. 1, 1951; two sons, Larry L. Rosenberry of Fort Loudon, and John W. Glass II of Spring Run, Pa.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister; and four brothers.

Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Fort Loudon United Methodist Church. The Revs. John F. Rauhut and Earl Myers will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg, Pa.

A viewing will be held at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg, Pa., Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.; and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

Frank Forney Jr.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Frank Forney Jr., 67, of 118 N. Franklin St., and formerly of Harbaugh Avenue, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Sept. 10, 1999, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born March 1, 1932, in Shippensburg, Pa., he was the son of the late Frank C. and Elizabeth M. O'Donnell Forney Sr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty L. Varner Forney, in 1993. They were married Oct. 1, 1955.

He attended Hooverville School.

He was employed by Bonded Applicators in Waynesboro, as a laborer. Later, he was employed in the foundry of Landis Tool Company in Waynesboro; and then as a security guard for Pinkerton-Burns of Chambersburg, Pa. Prior to retiring in 1993, he was a forklift operator for Knouse Foods in Chambersburg.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a recipient of the Korean Service Medal with two bronze stars; the United Nations Service Medal; the National Defense Service Medal; the Occupational Medal (Japan); and the Good Conduct Medal.

He was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post No. 15; and William Max McLaughlin VFW Post No. 695, both of Waynesboro.

He is survived by three daughters, Judy M. Haines and Bessie M. Forney, both of Waynesboro and Brenda K. Dennis of Fayetteville, Pa.; two sons, Michael S. Forney of Waynesboro and Brian L. Forney of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.; three brothers, Robert A. Forney and Lester Beltz of Tomstown, Pa. and Clarence Beltz of Mount Aetna, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Forney; and four brothers, Leon Forney, Clyde Forney, Harry Forney and John Forney.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. Pastor Donald Conley will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery in Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

H. Watson Drummond

CLEARVILLE, Pa. - Howard Watson Drummond, 58, of Pepperdine Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at UPMC Bedford Memorial.

Born Nov. 26, 1940, in Craig County, Va., he was the son of the late Ernest L. and Lottie Lee Perry Drummond.

He attended Loudon County High School in Leesburg, Va.

He was a truck driver for Allied Van Lines in Hagerstown, until his retirement in 1994.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He is survived by his wife, Martha M. Farr Drummond, whom he married Jan. 10, 1961; five children, Howard W. Drummond Jr. of Cascade, Md., Debbie L. Ferrell of Jefferson, Md., Jeff E. Drummond of Breezewood, Pa., Regina M. Hall of Everett, Pa. and Timothy O. Drummond of Clearville; a sister, Thelma Linsey of Inwood, W.Va.; a brother, Charles Drummond of Charles Town, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy Drummond, Eugene Drummond and Allen Drummond; and a grandson.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Dalla Valle Funeral Chapel on Main Street in Everett. The Rev. Pat Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Union Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

Leo Northcraft

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Leo "Chump" Northcraft, 90, of 596 Finger Board Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Sept. 11, 1999, at Washington County Hospital.

Born July 14, 1909, in Northcraft, Pa., he was the son of the late Vernon and Agnus Smith Northcraft.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ada Smth Northcraft, in 1991.

He retired from Penndott as a foreman.

He was a member of Fairview Christian Church in Artemas, Pa., since 1927.

He is survived by three sons, Willard Northcraft of Newport Beach, Calif., Marvin Northcraft and Dean Northcraft, both of Warfordsburg; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three sisters; and two brothers.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Fairview Christian Church. Pastor Clint Bahrenburg will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Christian Cemetery in Artemas.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 9 p.m. at his home, 596 Finger Board Road in Warfordsburg; and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairview Christian Cemetery, RR1 Box 115, Artemas, PA 17211; or Fairview Christian Church, RR1 Box 116, Artemas, PA 17211.

Edgar R. Locke

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Edgar R. Locke, of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of 353 McKinley St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at the nursing and rehabilitation center.

Born in Maddensville, Pa., he was the son of the late Thomas G. and Amanda Brown Locke.

He was a truck driver for Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, retiring in 1974 after 31 years of service.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

He was of the Protestant faith.

He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge No. 842 in Chambersburg; Burt J. Asper American Legion Post No. 46 in Chambersburg; and McCartney American Legion Post No. 223 in Dry Run, Pa.

He is survived by his wife, Charlotte C. Piper Locke; two sons, Richard W. of East Waterford, Pa. and Thomas E. of Concord, Pa.; two sisters, Flora Cascar and Gladys Stiles, both of Huntingdon, Pa.; a brother, Dale Locke of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by two sisters; and four brothers.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at John L. Agett Funeral Home, 18875 Main St. in Dry Run. The Rev. Karl Herman and Pastor Darwin Goshorn will officiate. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

The family requests the omission of flowers.
