Orrin W. Ehrhart

ST. THOMAS, Pa. - Orrin W. "Cris" Ehrhart, 79, of 7367 Lincoln Way West, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at his home.

Born May 26, 1920, in St. Thomas, he was the son of the late Crissy O. and Mary Esther Shatzer Ehrhart.

His wife, Lois J. Craig Ehrhart, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died in 1989. They were married June 30, 1940.

He was a graduate of St. Thomas High School and Waynesboro (Pa.) Business School.

He earlier was employed by B.F. Goodrich Tires in Waynesboro. From 1947 to 1963 he owned and operated Ehrhart's General Mercantile of St. Thomas. He later was employed as a road salesman for R.D. McKee Hardware Co. in Hagerstown, and Chambersburg Implement Co.

He served in the National Guard. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Army Air Corps and piloted B-17s.

He was a member of St. Thomas United Church of Christ.

He was a member of Detrich-Brechbill American Legion Post 612; Tall Cedars of Lebanon Valley Forest 145; and St. Thomas Township Volunteer Fire Co. He donated the land in 1961 for the original site of St. Thomas Fire Co.

He maintained a Little League field in St. Thomas.

He is survived by one daughter, Jane E. Pine of Mercersburg, Pa.; one sister, Mary Esther Witmer of Chambersburg, Pa.; one brother, Oscar Ehrhart of Waynesboro; two granddaughters; one grandson; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg. The Rev. Milton W. Benny Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery with a military service by Detrich-Brechbill American Legion Post 612.

Viewing will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas Community Association, P.O. Box 1, St. Thomas, PA 17252; or St. Thomas Township Volunteer Fire Co., 34 Schoolhouse Road, St. Thomas, PA 17252.

Catherine C. Brookens

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Catherine C. Brookens, 76, a resident of Piney Mountain, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, July 10, 1999, at Piney Mountain.

Born Nov. 18, 1922, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Russell L. and Ada Wagaman Argenbright.

She was a graduate of Chambersburg High School, Chambersburg.

She is survived by one daughter, Wilma Hepfer of Fawn Grove, Pa.; one son, Wilbur E. Brookens Jr., of Fayetteville; two sisters, Mary Jane Cordell of South Mountain, Pa., and Dolores Baughman of Fayetteville; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

Graveside services and burial will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Norland Cemetery, Chambersburg. The Rev. Paul B. Baker will officiate.

There will be no viewing.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home Inc., Chambersburg.

Brandis K. Sanders

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Brandis K. Sanders, 17, of 1279 Third Avenue, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, July 9, 1999, at Warm Spring Road, Hamilton Township, Pa., as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born Jan. 27, 1982, in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of Timothy E. and Deborah K. Dawson Sanders.

She had been employed at Dodie's Restaurant, Fayetteville, Pa.

She attended Manito Alternative High School, Chambersburg.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Stefanie J. Sanders at home; one brother, Lucas R. Sanders at home; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Wilbur and Ellen Foust of Chambersburg; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Helen Sanders of St. Thomas, Pa., and her aunt, Trudy Sanders of St. Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Luther A. Dawson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Christopher T. Little will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

There will be no viewing.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home.

Omer C. Cline

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Omer Charles Cline, 83, a resident of Caledonia Manor Nursing Home, and formerly of 15238 Ridge Road, Waynesboro, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, July 9, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.

Born Oct. 13, 1915, in Downsville, he was the son of the late D. Frederick and Beulah Bowers Cline.

He retired from Fairchild Aircraft, Hagerstown. He was also a farmer for many years.

He attended the former Trinity United Brethren Church of State Line, Pa., and was a member of Downsville Christian Church, Williamsport.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Thelma M. Bowders Cline; two daughters, Diane M. Varner of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa., and Myrna L. Funk of Chambersburg; six sisters, Waunita Martin of Hancock, Betty Kitchen and Valerie Mallott, both of Williamsport, Shelby Stehl and Connie Martin, both of Hagerstown, and Dorothy Shinham of Sharpsburg; four brothers, Ellis T. Cline, E. Ross Cline and Walter Lee Cline, all of Hagerstown, and Lloyd Cline of Smithsburg; two grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edgar Cline and Thurman Cline.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Grace Bible Church, 2327 Hoffman Rd., Greencastle, Pa. The Rev. J. Herman Fisler will officiate. Burial will be in Beautiful View Cemetery, State Line.

The family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 9 at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle and Tuesday one hour before services at the church.

Mark T. Donahoe

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mark T. Born April 25, 1910, in Belden, Bedford County, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose Hughes Donahoe.

He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Chambersburg.

He is survived by two daughters, Janet A. Donahoe of Charlottesville, Va., and Marian A. Connelly of Reading, Pa.; two sons, Dr. Michael T. Donahoe of Chambersburg and Dr. Robert M. Donahoe of Atlanta; one sister, Marie Slattery of Sanford, Fla.; one brother, Philip Donahoe of Rockville, Md.; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Daniel F. Lawler, S.J. will officiate. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery, Chambersburg.

There will be no viewing.

The family will receive friends following Mass at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Michael T. Donahoe, 1453 Springview Drive, Chambersburg.

The family requests the omission of flowers and memorial contributions be made to Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201 or to American Cancer Society, 452 East King Street, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Jack V. Little Sr.

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Jack V. Little Sr., 68, of Orchard Lane, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, July 9, 1999, at his daughter's home in Frederick, Md.

Born Oct. 15, 1930, in Waynesboro, he was the son of the late Alson S. and M. Grace Snyder Little Sr.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace E. Reeder Little, in 1981. They were married Nov. 2, 1952.

He was a 1948 graduate of Waynesboro High School.

He served in the U.S. Army for two years, at the end of the Korean War.

He took his apprenticeship at Landis Machine Co., Waynesboro, starting in 1948. Following his discharge from the military, he returned to Landis Machine, he was transferred to Chicago for 10 years. Then he returned to the Waynesboro plant for 10 years and later transferred to England for seven years as the plant managing director. Prior to retiring in 1992, he served as the director of sales in Europe and Mexico.

He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Waynesboro.

He was a member of BPOE Lodge No. 731; Joe Stickell American Legion Post No. 15; Acacia Lodge No. 586 Free and Accepted Masons, all of Waynesboro; and National AARP.

He is survived by two daughters, Cindy D. Mann of Myersville, Md., and Laurie K. Wright of Frederick; a son, Jack V. Little Jr. of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; two granddaughters; and six nieces.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Margaret Little Yingst; and two brothers, Lt. Alson S. Little Jr. and Robert S. Little.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 104 N. Potomac St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Lynn D. Trutt will officiate. Burial will be in Quincy Cemetery, Quincy, Pa.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Masonic services will be conducted Sunday at 8 p.m. by his lodge at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to American Lung Association, 6041 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112-1208.
