Born Nov. 7, 1915, in Enid, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Nora Foster Stunkard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, P. Eugene Thomas, in 1991.

She was a seamstress for the former Sagner Clothing Manufacturing.

She was a member of Wells Valley United Methodist Church.

She assisted with 4-H in Wells Valley.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Snyder of Waterfall, Pa.; a son, John Thomas of Hendersonville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Mumma in 1988; two sons, Melvin Thomas in 1997 and Francis Thomas in 1948; a sister, Mildred Graeber; and a brother, Ralph Stunkard.

Services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, McConnellsburg, Pa. The Rev. David Arnold will officiate. Burial will be in Roaring Run Cemetery, Wells Valley.

Visitation will be Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Charles E. Shreiner

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Charles E. "Bucky" Shreiner, 78, of 304 High St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born April 20, 1921, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late John L. and Frances Cramer Shreiner.

He was a 1939 graduate of Chambersburg High School.

He was employed by Chambersburg Engineering Co. and by Capital Bakers, both in Chambersburg. He retired from Scotland School for Veterans Children in Scotland, Pa.

A veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Pennsylvania LST Association.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Chambersburg.

He was a member and past exalted ruler of BPO Elks Lodge 600, a member of Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW and Falling Spring Chapter 2840 AARP, all in Chambersburg, and Clopper-Michael American Legion Post in Boonsboro.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Klenzing Shreiner, whom he married April 24, 1942; two daughters, Judith Seilhamer of Gettysburg, Pa., and Mary Jo Frey of Fayetteville, Pa.; a sister, Ruth L. Shreiner of Shippensburg, Pa.; a brother, Eugene P. Shreiner of Chambersburg; two grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 26 Commerce St., Chambersburg. The Rev. Neal O. Hively will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens in Chambersburg, with military services by Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 VFW Honor Guard.

Visitation will be at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home in Chambersburg, Friday from 7 to 9 p.m., with an 8:30 p.m. service by BPO Elks 600 Past Exalted Ruler Association; and at the church one hour prior to the service.

The family requests the omission of flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the Cardiac Care Unit of Chambersburg Hospital, 112 N. Seventh St., Chambersburg, PA 17201; or to Elks Cerebral Palsy Fund, c/o Roland Bowers, 1461 Lake Shore Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Hilda I. Gordon

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Hilda I. Gordon, 82, of 25 N. Potomac St., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, June 15, 1999, at Quincy United Methodist Home.

Born Feb. 20, 1917, in Zullinger, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Norman B. and Grace R. Eberly Gordon.

She was a 1934 graduate of Waynesboro High School and a 1935 graduate of Central Penn Business College, Harrisburg, Pa.

She was a secretary at Landis Machine Co., Waynesboro, then for the law firm of Minnich and Maxwell, Waynesboro, for 27 years. She then worked for the Waynesboro School District in the administrative office as a secretary, retiring in 1979.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Waynesboro.

She was a member of Waynesboro Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by a nephew, Robert G. Wachter of Orlando, Fla.; and a grandniece, Kourtney C. Wachter of Gainesville, Fla.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen L. Hawbecker and Thelma G. Wachter.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Jay E. Zimmerman will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 6 West Second St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Elizabeth T. Kyser

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Elizabeth T. Kyser, 92, of 5611 Tick Ridge Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, June 14, at Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg, Pa.

Born March 2, 1907, in Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Balazs and Eisabet Dyzongyose Tutor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Karl K. Kyser Sr., in 1970.

She is survived by a son, Karl K. Kyser Jr. of Chambersburg; two sisters, Margaret Thomas of Tionesta, Pa., and Judy Mathias of Fort Pierce, Fla.; and a brother, William Tutor of Austintown, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Prices Cemetery in Waynesboro. There will be no viewing.

Arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.

Evelyn K. Runshaw

ORRSTOWN, Pa. - Evelyn K. Runshaw, 76, of 10961 Mountain Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Monday, June 14, 1999, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Aug. 31, 1922, in Maple Grove, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elsie Patterson Stepler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl A. Runshaw, in 1964. They were married May 3, 1947.

She was a homemaker.

She attended Upper Strasburg Bible Church.

She is survived by two sons, Delmas A. Runshaw and Bryan H. Runshaw, both of Orrstown; a brother, Lester L. Stepler of Chambersburg; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three infant sons and a brother.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg. Pastor Richard A. Black and the Rev. John P. Weyman will officiate. Burial will be in Upper Strasburg Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Upper Strasburg Bible Church, 9578 Upper Strasburg Road, Upper Strasburg, PA 17265; or Friendship Baptist Church, 3367 Ritner Highway, Newville, PA 17241.

Catherine S. Black

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Catherine S. She retired from J. Schoeneman Co. in Chambersburg in 1985 after 17 years. She previously worked at the Mercersburg Shirt Factory.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Chambersburg, and Ladies Bible Class.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne B. Black, whom she married Aug. 23, 1944; a daughter, Ginger Zimmerman of Fayetteville, Pa.; a son, Steven A. Black of East Stroudsburg, Pa.; two sisters, Verna Mowen of Waynesboro, Pa., and Janet Taylor of Worleytown, Pa.; four brothers, John Blair, Thomas Blair and Richard Blair, all of Coseytown, Pa., and Irvin Blair of Hagerstown; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. Dianne B. Salter will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
