CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Randy A. Bumbaugh, 34, of 3152 Anthony Highway, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Oct. 20, 1963, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Ethel Mae Golden Bumbaugh Sr.

He was a 1982 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School.

He had been employed by Quebecor Printing in Fairfield, Pa. for the past 14 years.

He is survived by four sisters, Phyllis D. Beitzel and Robin L. Forrester, both of Chambersburg, Sheila J. Miller of York, Pa., and Beverly A. Daley of Greencastle, Pa.; a brother, Charles W. Bumbaugh Jr. of Chambersburg; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel "Tony" Bumbaugh in 1966 and Rickey Lee Bumbaugh in 1995.

Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro, Pa. Pastor Marlin E. Ebersole will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery near Quincy, Pa.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 452 E. King St., Chambersburg, Pa. 17268.

Therese M. Dick

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Therese M. Kling Dick, 40, of 523 Clayton Ave., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, at a hospital in Cancun, Mexico, after being struck by a bus.

Born June 8, 1958, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of Robert R. and Margaret M. Tobin Kling Sr. of Waynesboro.

She was a 1976 graduate of Waynesboro Area Senior High School. She then attended business college.

She worked for a short time at Regency Thermographers Inc., Waynesboro. For the past 20 years, she worked for the federal government as a contract specialist with the National Institutes of Health in Rockville, Md.

She was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, Waynesboro.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Dorsey H. Dick II, whom she married Sept. 28, 1984; a daughter, Monica E. Dick at home; a son, Travis A. Dick, at home; three sisters, Catherine A. Browning of Germany, Margaret K. Gyurisin of Smithsburg and Monica L. Bricker of Mont Alto, Pa.; a brother, Robert R. Kling Jr. of Chambersburg, Pa.; aunts; uncles; nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Saint Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 112 N. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Thomas J. Hemler will be celebrant.

It was her wish to have no public viewing.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Waynesboro Special Olympics, P.O. Box 125, Waynesboro, Pa. 17268.

Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Robert L. Morris

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Retired Sgt. 1st Class Robert L. Morris, 73, of 10995 Woodring Lane, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, at Waynesboro Hospital.

Born July 1, 1925, in Horseham, Pa., he was the son of the late John Jacob and Ruth H. Compton Morris.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Santamaria Morris, in 1989. They were married April 23, 1948.

He received his GED while in the military.

He served with the U.S. Army for 26 years, serving during World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. While serving in the European Theater, he became a POW for three years. While in the military, he and his family lived in various countries and parts of the United States. He retired in December 1967.

He was a member of St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, Waynesboro.

He was a member of Joe Stickell American Legion Post 15, Waynesboro; and National AARP.

He is survived by six daughters, Celia Minteer, Ruth Angle and Elizabeth Bader, all of Waynesboro, Ana Siegrist of Pasadena, Md., Mary McCormick of Etters, Pa., and Gaynell Moore of Virginia Beach, Va.; four sons, Frank Morris and John Morris, both of Duncannon, Pa., Richard Morris of Baltimore and Thomas Morris of Shippensburg, Pa.; two brothers, John Harris of California and George Harris of Texas; 26 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, George Morris, in 1994.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at Saint Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 112 N. Broad St., Waynesboro. Father Thomas J. Hemler will be celebrant. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. Military graveside services will be conducted by the honor guard of Charles M. Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro.

Vera G. Kromer

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Vera G. Kromer, 89, of 4448 Parnell Drive and formerly of San Antonio, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, at Chambersburg Hospital, Chambersburg, Pa.

Born June 14, 1909, in Houston, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Josephine Liccioni Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Kromer Sr.

She had worked as a cashier in a department store in San Antonio for a number of years.

She is survived by a daughter with whom she lived since April 1997, Josephine Eutzy of Mercersburg; two sons, William S. Kromer of Leavenworth, Kan., and Charles W. Kromer Jr. of Shiprock, N.M.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Services will be Tuesday at Mission Park Funeral Chapel South, 1700 SE Military Drive, San Antonio. Burial will be in Mission Park South Cemetery.

Local arrangements are by Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, 47 N. Park Ave., Mercersburg.

Oren E. Stouffer

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Oren E. "Bing" Stouffer, 85, of 789 Anthony Highway, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born June 2, 1913, in Shippensburg, Pa., he was the son of the late David O. and Sarah Seavers Stouffer.

He worked at Glasgow Construction Co. in Philadelphia as a carpenter for more than 50 years, retiring in 1975. Following his retirement, he operated a stand at the Fayetteville Flee Market, Fayetteville, Pa.

He was a member of Rehobath Lutheran Church, Shippensburg.

He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles in Gettysburg, Pa.; and Carpenters Union Local 1595 in Philadelphia.

He is survived by his wife, Goldie M. Ulrich Stouffer; a daughter, Patricia A. Albrecht of Chambersburg; a brother, Kermit Stouffer of Shippensburg; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister; and two brothers.

Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. George S. Mouer Sr. and the Rev. Richard E. Sigler will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends Monday one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fayetteville Fire Department, 101 W. Main St., Fayetteville, Pa. 17222.

James L. Engle

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - James Lee Engle, 90, a resident of Manorcare Health Services and formerly of Warfordsburg, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Friday, Oct. 16, 1998, at Manorcare.

Born April 11, 1908, in Whips Cove, Pa., he was the son of the late John S. and Rebecca Smith Engle.

He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Hancock Ward.

He is survived by seven nieces, Louise Diesing, Wanda Engle, Almeda Engle, V. June Bohlman, Ruth A. Oakman, Dorothy M. Turner and Nancy L. Haitt; and four nephews, Preston Crawford, Clarence Crawford, Levearl A. Schriever and Ralph Schriever.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Bertha Shade, Frances Crawford, Jessie Crawford and Beatrice Schriever; one brother, Clarence Engle; and an infant brother, Raymond Engle.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Hancock Ward. Bishop Larry Hartman will officiate. Burial will be in Jerusalem Christian Cemetery, Warfordsburg, Pa.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, Hancock; and Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church. For the convenience of friends, the funeral home will be open Monday from noon to 9 p.m.
