Born Sept. 4, 1959, in Greenville, S.C., he was the son of the Rev. James E. Gilliam of New Millport, Pa., and Elsie White White of Bloomsburg, Pa.

He was a 1977 graduate of Williamsport (Pa.) High School; and attended Messiah College, Grantham, Pa.

He was employed by Gilman Sky Inc., Greencastle, Pa., as a forklift operator. He previously had been employed at Reynolds and Reynolds, Inc., Chambersburg.

He was a social member of Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, Chambersburg; Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 842, Chambersburg; and Lone Star Hunting Club, Robertsdale, Pa.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a sister, Brenda Storaska of Danville, Pa.; his companion, Deborah L. Hock, and her son, Andrew D. Gervasio, both of whom resided with him; and his stepmother, Mabel Gilliam of New Millport.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Rev. A. Robert Cook will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The viewing will be Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Robert C. Bonebrake Sr.

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Robert C. Bonebrake Sr., 72, of 230 Weaverly Court, Schaff Trailer Court, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1998, at his home.

Born April 30, 1926, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of the late Daniel C. and Clare Marie Rosenberry Bonebrake.

He attended Waynesboro schools.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He then served with the U.S. National Guard for three years in Waynesboro as a sergeant.

He was employed by Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, Pa., for 24 years as a supervisor in the machine shop, retiring in 1978. Following his retirement, he did various jobs and drove a van for Franklin County Integrated Transportation System.

He was a member of Mount Union United Methodist Church, Fayetteville, was a member and taught the adult Sunday school class, and served on committees within the church.

He was a life member of William Max McLaughlin VFW Post 695, Waynesboro.

He had been scout master of Boy Scout Troop 244 in Scotland, Pa. He received the Order of the Arrow for Susquehannock Lodge 11.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margie O. Weikert Bonebrake; two sons, Robert C. Bonebrake Jr. of Fayetteville and Kenneth E. Bonebrake of Chambersburg; a grandson, and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Bonebrake.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Mount Union United Methodist Church in Fayetteville. Pastor Robert L. Bason will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro, with military graveside services by Charles M. Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599 Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mount Union United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. Robert Bason, 4073 Fetterhoff Chapel Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201; or Hospice of the Good Shepherd, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Arrangements are by Grove Funeral Home, Wayensboro.

Walter R. Cordell

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Walter A. H. Madeline Kauffman

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - H. Madeline Kauffman, 95, a resident of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and formerly of Waynesboro, Pa., Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at the center.

Born April 6, 1903, in Quincy, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Levi Super and Emma Tritle Hoffhine Kepner.

She was employed for 26 years at Waynesboro Knitting Mill.

She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Waynesboro.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. The Rev. James T. Williams will officiate.

There will be no viewing.

Memorial donations may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ, 30 W. North St., Waynesboro, PA 17268.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg.

Ira J. Leininger

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - Ira J. Born Sept. 1, 1907, near Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Isaac and Nannie Wise Leininger.

He attended Columbia Business College in Hagerstown.

He had been a farmer. He worked at Fairchild Aircraft in Hagerstown, Hennessy Co. in Chambersburg, and retired from Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa.

He was a member of Ebenezer "Guitners" United Brethren Church, near Greencastle, was a Sunday school teacher and class leader.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Goldie K. Ridenour Leininger; one daughter, Pearl K. Statler of Greencastle; three brothers, Alvey Leininger, a resident of Penn Hall, Chambersburg, Raymond Leininger of Chambersburg, and Scott Leininger of Winchester, Va.; one grandson; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Smith; and five brothers, Roy Leininger, George Leininger, Clarence Leininger, Harry Leininger and Arthur Leininger.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Ebenezer "Guitners" United Brethren Church, 3661 Williamson Road, Greencastle. The Rev. Ralph L. Fry Jr. and the Rev. E. Mose will officiate. Burial will be in Parklawns Memorial Gardens, Chambersburg.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, and at the church one hour before the service on Friday.

Michael L. Strang

FAYETTEVILLE, Pa. - Michael Lee Strang, 27, of 4555 Cold Spring Road, Cemetery-obituaries?utm_source=partner_genlookups&utm_medium=partner&utm_campaign=genlookups_July21_textlink&tr_ad_group=textlinks&tr_funnel=supersearch" target="_blank">died Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1998, at Waynesboro Hospital. He had been in failing health since an automobile accident in August, 1996.

Born Jan. 8, 1971, in Waynesboro, Pa., he was the son of Goldie Knouse Strang of Fayetteville and the late James Edgar Strang.

He attended Fairfield High School, Fairfield, Pa.

He had been employed by N.V.R. Building Products, Thurmont, Md.

He was a member of South Mountain Fish and Game Association; National Rifle Association; and North American Hunting Club.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Kisha M. Strang of South Mountain, Pa.; a sister, Laura V. Stine of South Mountain; a brother, Rusty E. Strang of South Mountain; three aunts; an uncle, and cousins.

Services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. Pastor David L. Keener will officiate. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Waynesboro Special Olympics, P.O. Box 125, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
