Survived by children, John, Warren, Ohio; Eleanor, married to Ted Deitman, Johnstown; Robert, married to former Phyllis Meredith, Bedford; and Dolores, married to Hermit Train, Dayton, Ohio; also 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Life member of St. Rochus Church and CFU. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where vigil service will be held Friday afternoon. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rochus Church, Father Charles M. Amershek. Committal, Grandview Cemetery.

Graduate of Cambria Heights High School and Carnegie Mellon University in architecture. Memorial Mass at noon Saturday, July 28, 2007, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Hastings, Inurnment, church Cemetery. Arrangements by Easly Funeral Home, Hastings.

Preceded in death by brothers and sisters, George Yanik, Agnes Yanik, Stephen Yanik, Tony Yanik Gasper Yanik and Mary (Yanik) Spinelli. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Anna was baptized and schooled at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, Windber, and currently attended St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City, Pa. At the request of the family, there will be no viewing or visitation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Aug. 25th at 10 a.m. at SS. Cyril and Methodius Church with private burial afterwards. Arrangements in care of the Hindman Funeral Homes -- Crematory Inc., 146 Chandler Ave., Johnstown.

ZUBEL - Margaret

Born Aug. 23, 1911, in Coupon, daughter of the late Anthony and Lena (Pesognelli) Toffy. Preceded in death by first husband, Thomas Reese; second husband of 47 years, Heinz Zubel; and brothers, John, Robert and Jim Toffy. Last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews and family friend, Anna Banko, Revloc. Margaret had served as a custodian for the Pennsylvania Department of Mines and D.E.R. for 15 years. She was a member of the Tri-County Beagle Club, Carrolltown, and the Ebensburg VFW Ladies Auxillary. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Ebensburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus officiating. Interment at Lloyd Cemetery.

ALT – Patricia Marlene
ALT – Patricia Marlene, 72, Virginia Beach, Va., passed away on July 15, 2007. She was the widow of James Alt. Mrs. Alt is survived by her four children, Samuel James Alt, and wife, Susan Kirkpatrick; Pamela Gordon, and husband, Christopher; Beth McKnight, and husband, Terry; and David Alt; four grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Erin and Danielle; two great-grandchildren, Brittany and Kimberly; and one sister, Florence Smith of Kent, Ohio. The visitation will be held at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 5792 Greenwich Road, Virginia Beach, from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2007, with a funeral service to begin at 7 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date in Quantico National Cemetery. Lute worked for 30 years as a coal miner and 20 years for Bethlehem Steel in the Franklin Mill. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Summerhill, and UMWA. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday by Pastor Bill Coleman. Interment, Pringle Hill Cemetery, Summerhill.

LENGYEL – Helen (Dorchak)
LENGYEL – Helen (Dorchak), 77, of Hopewell Township, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, July 9, 2007. Born Nov. 28, 1929, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Petrick) Dorchak. She retired from the Thrift Drug Store in downtown Pittsburgh, where she worked as a manager for 27 years. Helen’s joys in life were caring for her family, playing bingo and going to social gatherings with her friends. In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Lengyel; a brother, Joseph Dorchak; and a sister, Dorothy Ann Dorchak. She is survived by two daughters, Valerie Lynn Lewis of Chippewa and Sondra Michelle Skibiak of Skippack, Pa., and two brothers-in-law, Jack Lengyel of Waynesboro, Pa., and Emery Lengyel of Nevada. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Interment was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Aliquippa, Pa. Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to the DAV Memorial Program, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, Ohio 45205-0301.

Hill, Johnstown. Was formerly employed by Sunnehanna Country Club and Conemaugh Medical Center. Graduate of culinary arts program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP). A member of Alban Cuts Gang. This exceptional man was loved and will be missed by all of his friends and family. Friends received from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Francis G. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during WWII guarding President Franklin D. Roosevelt. He retired from Ford Motor Co., working as a millwright for 30 years. He was an active member at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and a member of the West Salem 50 Plus Club. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Matteson Funeral Home, West Salem, Ohio. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, West Salem, the Rev. Carl Uhler officiating. Interment at noon Friday at St. Francis Cemetery, Johnstown.
