Graduate of Central Cambria High School. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, and from 10:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany United Methodist Church in Portage, Pastor Frank Hodges officiating. SOWERBROWER - Frederick J.
SOWERBROWER - Frederick J., 61, of Elton, passed away on Sept. 14, 2007, at Windber Hospice. Son of Charles W. and A. Mildred (Leaper) Sowerbrower. Preceded in death by his parents; siblings, William Leaper and Marjorie Seminsky; and infant siblings, Charles and Janet Sowerbrower. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of nearly 40 years, the former Linda Gearhart, whom he married Sept. 23, 1967, in Elton; a son, James F., married to the former Lynn Ann Podrebarac, Latrobe; a daughter, Susan Lynn Sowerbrower, Elton; granddaughter, Jacquelyn Ann Sowerbrower, Latrobe; mother-in-law, Ida Gearhart, Elton; siblings, Edward, married to Evelyn, Johnstown; Beverly Penrod, Johnstown; Arnold "Dean," married to Delores, Jacksonville, Ark.; Raymond, married to Sherry, Johnstown; Margaret "Peg," wife of Clayton Irish, Gladwin, Mich.; Doris Sowerbrower, Johnstown; Judith, wife of Daniel Ritchey, Johnstown; Ronald, married to Patricia, Johnstown; and Donald, married to Deborah, Deltona, Fla.; sister-in-law, Shirley Leaper, Levittown, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was a member of Dunmyer Lutheran Church, where he was an active committee and council member for many years. He retired after 30 years of service from Moxham National Bank. Fred enjoyed the outdoors, planting flowers, gardening and spent the majority of his time with his family and friends. Fred was an exceptionally devoted husband, father and grandfather, who gave unselfishly of himself. He especially loved the time spent with his granddaughter, Jackie. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dunmyer Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Nila Cogan officiating. Interment will be held at Dunmyer Lutheran Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to Dunmyer Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 189, Elton, Pa. 15934, or to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa. 15963 in memory of Fred.

Wills, Johnstown. Also five grandchildren. Brother of William F. Haymaker, Vinco; Betty Fisher, Johnstown; and Shirley Ellis, Nanty Glo. LINGENFELTER - The Rev. He was Born Nov. 4, 1914, in East Freedom, a son of Harvey and Gertrude Lingenfelter. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mary E. "Bessie" (Meztgar) Lingenfelter; four children, Linda, Jerome, Joel and Cary; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles and Galen; and a sister, Iona. Rev. Lingenfelter was a graduate of the Altoona Bible Institute, Class of 1952. He was instrumental in the foundation of the Everett Grace Brethren Church, founded Nov. 4, 1951, where he was the first pastor, until retiring in 1981. Through his "Question and Answer Bible Class," he helped to form three new churches in the Cumberland area. He loved to preach God's word through his hospital and radio ministry programs. He enjoyed baseball, playing and officiating in the Claysburg Twilight League, reading and playing golf. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family, friends and community. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, in the Everett Grace Brethren Church, with Pastor Ken Korn, Pastor Floyd Rinehart and Pastor Robert Salazar officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the hour of service at the church. Interment, Everett Cemetery.

Holder, Leesburg, Va., and son, William B. Marks, husband of Eva Beiner, Revere, Mass. Proud grandmother of Jason Holder and Rachel, Sarah and Zachary Marks. Preceded in death by brothers, Freeman F. Fullerton Jr. and Robert A. Fullerton. Survived by sisters-in-law, Jean Fullerton and Dorothy Fullerton, and many beloved nieces and nephews. Janet was a 1945 graduate of Westmont-Upper Yoder High School and a member of the Belmont United Methodist Church. She had been employed as a hostess with the Jolly Roger restaurant for many years, was a dedicated volunteer at Mercy Medical Center and most recently, was awarded the Richard G. Baker Volunteer Award for her dedicated service to the Community Arts Center of Cambria County. Her most treasured moments were spent cross-stitching, crafting and spending time with her family and large circle of wonderful friends. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at Belmont United Methodist Church at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, the Rev. David Evans officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Community Arts Center of Cambria County, 1217 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown, Pa. 15907, or Belmont United Methodist Church, 107 Coldren St., Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
