STEWARTSTOWN - Harry F. Pfeiffer, 95, of Stewartstown, died at 6:20 a.m. Sunday at Manor Care Health Services Dallastown. He was the husband of the late Florence Pfeiffer and the late Ida (Eaton) Pfeiffer.
The J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown, is in charge of arrangements, which were incomplete.

Joyce A. Sewell
New Bethel Baptist Church member
WHITE HALL, Md. - Joyce A. Sewell, 57, of White Hall, Md., died at 11:05 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Robert T. "Shorty" Sewell. The couple observed their 23rd wedding anniversary Nov. 23.
The service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary Inc., 19 S. Main St., Stewartstown. Burial will be in New Bethel Baptist Cemetery. Viewings will be 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary.
Mrs. Sewell was born May 23, 1941, in Eolia Letcher County, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Shelby Ray and Olga Castle (Engle) Hampton.
She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Stewartstown.
Mrs. Sewell also is survived by a daughter, Donna J. Sewell of White Hall; two brothers, Royce Ray Hampton of Cockeysville, Md., and Newell Reed Hampton of Richmond, Va.; and three sisters, Pricey H. Hopkins of Monkton, Md., Lena C. Stanley of Pound, Va., and Brenda D. Richardson of Stewartstown.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Blaine E. Vannoy.

Pauline Stambach
Union Brethren Church ordained clergy
LEBANON, Ohio - Pauline Stambach, 96, of Lebanon, Ohio, formerly of York, died at 10:40 p.m. Thursday at Otterbein Lebanon Retirement Community in Lebanon, Ohio. She was the wife of the late Rev. Jerome S. Stambach.
The services will be 11 a.m. today at Otterbein United Methodist Church, Otterbein Lebanon Retirement Community in Lebanon, Ohio, and 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Viewings will be 10 to 11 a.m. today at the church, and 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Stambach was born Sept. 2, 1902, in York. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Amanda (Kissinger) Haverstock.
She was an ordained clergy in the United Brethren Church, attended Bonebrake Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, where she completed the Reader's Course; and member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Espanola Hospital Auxiliary.
Mrs. Stambach is survived by a daughter, Ruth Marie Stambach of Lebanon, Ohio; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; a sister, Marie Weaver of York; and nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service in York will be the Rev. Dr. Paul E. Stambach, superintendent of the State of College District of Central Pa. Conference of the United Methodist Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to McCurdy School, 261 McCurdy Road, Espanole, N.M. 87532; or to Otterbein Lebanon Retirement Community, 585 State Route 741 North, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.

Rosella B. Swartz
St. Mary's Catholic Church member
YORK - Rosella B. (Munchel) Swartz, 93, of York Township, died at 4:09 p.m. Saturday at her home. She was the wife of the late Carl G. Swartz.
A Funeral Liturgy will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 309 S. George St., York. Burial will be in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Viewing will be 7 to 9 p.m. today, with Rosary at 8 p.m., at the John W. Keffer Funeral Home Inc., 902 Mount Rose Ave., York.
Mrs. Swartz was born March 31, 1906, in York. She was the daughter of the late Albert G. and Kate (Hilbert) Munchel.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, its Altar Rosary Society and Merry Makers.
Mrs. Swartz is survived by two sons, Peter A. Swartz of San Antonio, Texas and George J. Swartz of York; two daughters, Catherine A. Hack and Theresa Crisamore, both of York; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Lawrence Hemler.

Anna E. Tate
Director
GLEN ROCK - Anna Eugenia "Jeanne" Tate, 62, of Glen Rock, Shrewsbury Township, died at 6:01 a.m. Sunday at her home. She was the wife of Leo C. Tate Sr. The couple observed their 36th wedding anniversary June 30.
The service will be noon Saturday at Shrewsbury Assembly of God, 124 N. Main St., Shrewsbury. Burial will be private in Holy Saviour Cemetery. Viewings will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the church. The Etzweiler Funeral Home, 1111 E. Market St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Tate was born Aug. 27, 1936, in Baltimore. She was the daughter of the late Walter A. and Anna (Knell) Hafner.
She was director of New Life Center for Children and Mothers in Glen Rock for 13 years. She was a member of Shrewsbury Assembly of God, honored as Pennsylvania Outstanding Women by Pennsylvania Women of Today in 1993, had been nominated by the Glen Rock Chapter; received the Citizen Recognition Award by residents at the Southern York County Business Show in 1998, and was a graduate of Mount St. Agnes High School in Baltimore.
Mrs. Tate also is survived by three sons, Steve Tate of Dover, Leo Tate Jr. of Glen Rock and David Tate of York; three daughters, Theresa Quickel of Brogue, Carol DePolo of Rochester Hills, Mich., and Jeanne Gageby of Glen Rock; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, W. Albert Hafner of Jarrettsville, Md., and Raymond Baer of Columbia, Md.; and two sisters, Doris Fallon of Littlestown and Louise Eldredge of Emmittsburg, Md.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Robert S. Harris.

Sara R. Topper
YORK - Sara R. (Smyser) Topper, 86, of York, died Sunday morning at her home. She was the wife of the late Richard Topper.
The John W. Keffer Funeral Home Inc., 902 Mount Rose Ave., York, is in charge of arrangements, which were incomplete.

Mabel S. Wagner
St. Paul's (Dubs) Lutheran Church member
DOVER - Mabel S. (Ruhlman) Wagner, 92, of Dover, died at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late John E. Wagner.
The service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's (Dubs) Lutheran Church, Box 328, Hanover RD 10. Burial will be in St. Paul's (Dubs) Cemetery. Viewing will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Wagner was born Nov. 13, 1906, in Adams County. She was the daughter of the late George and Saranda (Mummert) Ruhlman.
She was a member of St. Paul's (Dubs) Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Wagner is survived by nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Marshall H. Gante, interim pastor.

Carolyn I. Weikel
School teacher
RED LION - Carolyn I. (Jacobs) Weikel, 85, formerly of Red Lion, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at York Lutheran Home at Sprenkle Drive, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Robert D. "Bob" Weikel.
The service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Burg Funeral Home Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Viewing will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Weikel was born Feb. 12, 1914, in West York. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Charles F. and Puria (Krout) Jacobs.
She was a school teacher, having taught at Violet Hill in York Township and fourth grade at Windsor Manor in Red Lion School District; and an antique dealer. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in York, 1936 graduate of Millersville State Teacher's College and graduated from high school in 1929 at the age of 15.
Mrs. Weikel is survived by nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. E. Gordon Ross.

Anne E. Frutiger Zarfos
St. Paul's UMC member
DALLASTOWN - Anne E. (Kuronyi) Frutiger Zarfos, 87, of Dallastown, died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday at Dallastown Nursing Center, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Thomas W. Frutiger and the late Gerald L. Zarfos.
The service will be 2 p.m. today at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 45 First Ave., Red Lion. Burial will be in Red Lion Cemetery. Viewing will be 1 to 2 p.m. today at the church. The Burg Funeral Home Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Zarfos was born June 26, 1911, in Bethlehem. She was the daughter of the late Sandor and Sophia (Ballek) Kuronyi.
She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Red Lion, a former member of Friendly Girls Sunday School class and was formerly active in the United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Zarfos is survived by two sons, Thomas W. Frutiger of Pittsford, N.Y., and Robert A. Frutiger of Red Lion; a daughter, Beverly Z. Slenker of Glen Rock RR 3; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Charles W. Keller.

Harrison W. Bisker
House of Windsor mechanic
RED LION - Harrison W. Bisker, 92, of Red Lion, died at 4:57 p.m. Monday at York Hospital. He was the husband of Creda L. (Frey) Bisker, to whom he was marriage for 60 years.
A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Red Lion Cemetery. There will be no viewing. The Burg Funeral Home Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bisker was born April 24, 1907, in Hellam Township. He was the son of the late Joseph E. and Gertrude S. (Heindel) Bisker.
He was a mechanic for the House of Windsor in Red Lion.
Mr. Bisker also is survived by a sister, Margaret B. Wantz of Lancaster; and a niece and a nephew.
