Dean J. Auman

Dean J. Auman, 72, of Middleburg, formerly of Millheim, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at Centre Community Hospital.

Born Oct. 12, 1930, in Haines Township, he was a son of the late Jacob D. and Jennie M. Shaffer Auman.

His partner of 21 years, Anna B. Klingler, survives at home.

He attended East Penns Valley High School.

He retired from Piper Aircraft, Lock Haven, after 33 years of employment; then, he worked for GECO, Inc., Millheim, and worked several years in building construction.

He was a Protestant.

He enjoyed riding horses and going on trail rides, watching television, enjoyed watching the Antique Machinery Show and the Piper Air Craft Show.

In addition to his partner, he is survived by two sons, Steven J. Auman, of Centre Hall, and Randy Auman, of Hatboro; two sisters, Margaret E. Baker, of State College, and Mary J. Dugan, of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Gene J. Auman, of Lewistown; five grandchildren; and four children of his companion, Sharon Beachel, Linda Zeigler and Ivy Kline, all of Middleburg, and Dennis Klingler, of Norfolk, Va.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra; two brothers, Kenneth and James; and a child of his companion, Richard Klingler.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Millheim.

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Muthler officiating.

Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Millheim.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul's Erdelys Lutheran Church, c/o Jeffrey A. Mitchell, R. R. 3, Box 194, Middleburg, PA 17842 or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Sarah E. Rote

Sarah E. Rote, 100, of Doylestown, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at Pine Run Health Center in Doylestown.

Born July 26, 1902, in Lock Haven, she was a daughter of the late William Fountain and Bess Spering Eckert.

She marriage Chester M. Rote, who died in 1991.

She was a 1920 graduate of Lock Haven High School.

She worked as a secretary for the American Aniline Chemical Co. in Lock Haven and as a secretary to Dean Ferdinand G. Brickwedde, at Penn State in the College of Chemistry and Physics.

She was a member of the Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church.

She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Amaranth.

She is survived by a son, William E. Rote, of Doylestown; a sister, Louise Baker, of Williamsport; two granddaughters, Susan Rote Buckwalter and Christina Lynne Rote; and two grandsons, Dr. William E. Rote II and Stephen C. Rote.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Wetzler Funeral Home, 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Pleasant Gap United Methodist Church, 179 S. Main St.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Kevin K. Locker officiating.

Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park, College Township.

James H. Wolfe

James H. Wolfe, 53, of Eagles Mere, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at home with his family after a two-year fight with cancer.

Born Nov. 16, 1949, in Lock Haven, he was a son of the late Adah Wolfe.

He graduated from State College High School in 1967 and from Penn State in 1971. He marriage Sandra Snyder, of State College, on April 16, 1972.

He has been a music teacher for the Sullivan County School District since 1976.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy, and a daughter, Jennifer, at home.

Friends and family are invited tot he Eagles Mere Country Club at 1 p.m. Saturday for a celebration of his life.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a contribution to the charity of your choice.

Arrangements under the direction of the P. Dean Homer Funeral Home, 206 Water St., Dunshore.

Victor S. Neese

Victor S. Neese, 86, of rural Aaronsburg, died Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at Centre Community Hospital.

Born Feb. 24, 1916, in Aaronsburg, he was a son of the late Charles Neese and Alice T. Keller and the late Henry Stover.

On Oct. 1, 1939, he marriage Velma R. Hosterman Neese, who survives at home.

He was a 1935 graduate of East Penns Valley High School. He was a maintenance man at the Mifflinburg Middle School, retiring in 1981.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Woodward, where he served as a church trustee.

He enjoyed collecting Farmall tractors.

In addition to wife, he is survived by a daughter, Carol A. Fohringer, of Woodward; two sons, Richard W. Neese, of Aaronsburg, and David V. Neese, of Spring Mills; three half sisters, Pearl Bowersox, of State College, Rosela Boone, of Aaronsburg, and Lois Poorman, of Aaronsburg; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and stepfather, he is preceded in death by a son, Dean Neese, who died in 1961; a half brother, Charles Stover; and a half sister, Olivia Hosterman.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Steven R. Neff Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Millheim.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Virginia Rye officiating.

Burial will be in Woodward Cemetery in Woodward.
