INFANT NATHAN WILLIAM LUPHER
Word has been received that infant Nathan William Lupher, son of Kimberly and Craig Lupher of Milford, Mich., died Jan. 24, 2002.
Survivors include a sister, Courtney; his grandparents, William A. and Maryalyce Lupher of Titusville, William Thorton of Michigan and Evelyn Delabbio of Michigan; his great-grandmother, Dorothy Buchholz of Oil City; and many aunts,uncles and cousins.
A funeral was conducted Saturday at 1:24 p.m., the time at which Nathan was born.
Interment was in Milford Memorial Cemetery, Milford.
Memorials may be made to Children's Hospital of Detroit.

AGNES P. BROWN, 90
Agnes P. Brown, 90, of Saline, Mich., died Saturday, June 1, 2002, in Saline.
Born Dec. 10, 1911, at Titusville, she was a daughter of Francis and Minnie Arnold Geary.
She marriage Harold F. Brown on June 11, 1935; he died Feb. 5, 2000.
She graduated from St. Titus High School in 1930.
She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Jamestown, N.Y.
Survivors include: a son, Richard Brown, of Ypsilanti, Mich; two granddaughters, Leslie Brown and her husband, Daryl McDonald, of Tecumseh, Mich., and Sandra Elka and her husband, Robert, of Willis, Mich; and several nieces and nephews.
Three sisters died previously.
Friends may call Wednesday at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saline from 10 to 11 a.m., when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father William J. Stevenson.
Interment will be in St. Catharine's Cemetery, Titusville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Titusville Alumni Association.
Arrangements are by Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home, Saline.

John R. Eck, 75
John R. Eck, 75 of Tionesta died Saturday, June 1, 2002, in Titusville Area Hospital.
Born June 5, 1926, at Fryburg, he was a son of the late Thomas and Augusta Siegel Eck.
He marriage the former Elizabeth M. "Libby" Crkvenac on Oct. 7, 1948, in Maryland; she died Sept. 12, 1998.
A World War II veteran, he was discharged as a private first class.
He drove a coal truck for many years, first for A.C. Benninger and later for A.P. Weaver and Sons. He then worked as a fireman-watchman at Endeavor Lumber Co. until he retired.
He was a member of St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Tionesta.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and NASCAR and was a fan of Rusty Wallace.
Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Anna M. and Ronald C. Grooms of Tionesta and Cynthia J. and Nelson J. "Bud" Hoovler of Pleasantville, RD 1; three grandchildren, Ronald J. Grooms and his wife, Jennifer, of Lucinda, Brianne M. Grooms of Tionesta and Renee N. Hoovler of Pleasantville, RD 1; two grandsons and their wives, Jayson and Michelle Hoovler of Oil City and Luke and Ezzmy Hoovler of Washington State; a step-great-granddaughter, Kayla Hoovler; eight brothers, Ed of Fryburg, Paul of Tionesta, Richard of Warren, George of Tionesta, Robert of Pleasantville, Thomas of Erie, James of Fryburg and Bernard of Tionesta; three sisters and two sons-in-law, Grace and Jack Aymong of Erie, Sister Mary Joseph Eck of Ohio and Rita and Richard Schaffer of Tionesta; and several nieces and nephews.
Two infant sons, two infant sisters and a third sister, Mary Port, died previously.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home, 161 Elm St., Tionesta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Tionesta, by Father David Foradori.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Tionesta.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

HOWARD E. JOHNSON, 78
LANCASTER - Howard E. Johnson, 78, of Manheim died Friday, May 3, 2002, in Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster.
Born June 22, 1923, at Greensburg, he was a son of the late Frank M. and Bessie Burkholder Johnson.
He came to Titusville in the 1950s and worked for Cummins Funeral Home on West Spruce Street. He later took over the business, renaming it Johnson Funeral Home, and left the city in the late 1960s.
He had attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, and graduated from the former Eckels College of Mortuary Science, Philadelphia.
He was a funeral director at the former John A. Keech Funeral Home in Manheim and retired as a licensed funeral director with Unique Limousine, Camp Hill.
He was a former member of Titusville Lodge 754 of Free and Accepted Masons, New Castle Consistory and a member and past exalted ruler of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 264 in Titusville.
Survivors include: his wife, Sara J. Johnson; two sons, H. Clay Johnson of Wyomissing and George L. Johnson of Manheim; and a daughter, Stephanie B. Kutz of Erie.
Friends may call Tuesday at Parthemore Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1303 Bridge St., New Cumberland, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., when a memorial service will be conducted by the Rev. Timothy L. Hoffman.

REV. CHAUNCEY ELLSWORTH DEPEW, 85
The Rev. Chauncey Ellsworth Depew, 85, of 425 N. Martin St. died at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at his home after a brief illness.
Born Feb. 19, 1917, at Peekskill, N.Y., he was a son of the late William and Sarah Brown Depew.
He marriage the former Mildred E. McCormick on Aug. 6, 1941 in Gary, Ind.; she died May 23, 1982.
He was a graduate of Peekskill High School and graduated in 1941 from The Pastor's Course at Moody Bible Institute, Chicago. He took continuing education courses at Town and Country Minister's School at Green Lake, Wisc.; Wilkes College at Wilkes-Barre; and Georgetown University.
He served nine churches during his lifetime: Kent and Fishkill Baptist Church at Farmers Mills, N.Y.; Fort Ann and Adamsville Baptist churches at Fort Ann, N.Y.; Tunkhannock Baptist Church and Marcy Community Church at Tunkhannock; Reynoldsville Baptist Church at Reynoldsville Troy and East Troy Baptist churches at Troy; and Centerville Baptist Church at Centerville.
In 1961, he won the Town and Country Award of the Pennsylvania Baptist Convention at the annual meeting of the Convention in Reading. During his ministry at Centerville, a new church was built.
During the war years, he worked at New York Rubber Co. at Beacon, N.Y., a defense plant that made life boats and life jackets for pilots and the U.S. Navy as well as large conveyor belts for heavy industry. During those years, he served as president and treasurer of the company's union.
After retiring, he was a member of Titusville First Baptist Church, where he served as deacon, trustee, choir member and assistant Sunday school teacher. He served many churches as an interim pastor and did pulpit supply work.
He was a member of Titusville Rotary Club, Titusville Aero Club, the Antique Auto Club and Titusville Area Historical Society. He also was a percussionist with Peekskill Philharmonic Orchestra.
A world traveler, he visited England, Ireland, Holland, Israel, the Hawaiian Islands, China, Russia, Tahiti, Italy, northern India, Egypt, Kenya, Africa, Greece, the Greek Islands, Turkey, South America and Central America. He also toured throughout the United States, Canada, and Alaska.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Richard E. and Donna Depew of Munroe Falls, Ohio; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Kai Amundsen of Truckee, Calif.; two grandchildren and their wives, Stephen and Mary Fye of Glasgow, Kent., and Michael and Heidi Fye of Newnann, Ga.; two great granddaughters, Ashley Fye and Erin Fye; and several nieces and nephews.
A brother, William H. Depew Jr., died previously
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home. The funeral will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday in Titusville First Baptist Church by the Rev. Louis Spyes, pastor.
Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Centerville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Crawford County, 322 1/2 W. Main St.

MICHAEL A. KLECK, 50
Michael A. Kleck, 50, of Erie died Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, at Ball Pavilion nursing home, Harbor Creek, after a lengthy illness.
Born March 6, 1952, at Oil City, he was a son of Genevieve Karg Kleck Weaver and the late Bernard Kleck.
He marriage the former Karen Osiecki on Oct. 1, 1977; she survives.
He graduated in 1970 from Venango Christian High School in Oil City and earned a bachelor of science degree in computer science from Penn State University in 1974.
He had been employed as a computer senior systems analyst with General Electric Co. for 23 years and was a member of the Elfun Society. He also graduated from GE's MMP program.
An active member of St. James Roman Catholic Church, he had served on its athletic board for 12 years as well as its school board and finance council. He also was a Eucharistic minister and lector at the church.
Survivors include: three children, Christine Kleck, Matthew Kleck and Timothy Kleck, all at home; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Judy and Rich Huefner of Spartanburg, S.C., Mary and Vic Pilewski of Oil City, Catherine Gates of Oil City and Patricia Bates of Meadville; three brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Juana Techy Kleck of Pleasantville, William and Paula Kleck of Grove City and David and Vicki Kleck of Beaver; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His stepfather, Les Weaver, died previously.
Friends may call today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Dusckas Funeral Home-East, 2607 Buffalo Road, Erie, where a prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. James Roman Catholic Church, 2635 Buffalo Road, Erie.
Interment will be in Mary Queen of Peace Cemetery, Erie.
Memorials may be made to St. James Roman Catholic Church.

LOIS ANN McENTIRE, 59
Lois Ann McEntire, 59, of 19956 S. Brown Hill Road, Centerville, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, in Meadville Medical Center after a courageous, eighth-month battle with cancer.
Born April 9, 1943, at Union City, she was a daughter of Lucille Geer Dean Bludsworth of Cambridge Springs and the late S. Oscar Dean.
She marriage Robert Blaine McEntire on June 24, 1961; he survives.
A resident of Brown Hill since 1964, she was employed from 1969 until 1989 by the state game commission at the pheasant farm located outside Cambridge Springs.
She loved the Lord, her family and her grandchildren.
A member of Brown Hill United Methodist Church, she taught Sunday school for 15 years and most recently had instructed the teen class. She also enjoyed assisting with church plays and similar activities.
Her interests included flower gardening and caring for her family's horses.
Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Ronald Woods of Centerville, Julia and Robin Parker of Lincolnville and Gena and Lawrence Kane of Little Cooley; three grandchildren, Kelly Kane, Melissa Kane and Blaine Woods; her stepmother, Camilla Dean of Cambridge Springs; and two sisters, Alice Beranek of Cambridge Springs and Martha Kjar of Lake Wales, Fla.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Van Matre Family Funeral Home, 335 Venango Ave., Cambridge Springs. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Brown Hill United Methodist Church by the Rev. Don McEntire, pastor. Interment wil be in Rootville Cemetery, Athens Township.

FRANCES E. CRONE, 88
Mrs. Frances E. Crone, 88, of 227 Water St. (Billie Brown Building), died at 10: 12 a.m. Friday, April 4, 2003, at the Titusville Area Hospital following an extended illness.
Mrs. Crone was born on July 18, 1914, at Troy Township, a daughter of the late Wilton and Nellie Smith Crowther. She was marriage to Chester D. Crone on May 3, 1932, at Ripley, N.Y. He preceded her in death on Dec. 3, 1999.
Mrs. Crone had attended the Titusville schools.
She attended Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, working crossword puzzles and playing cards.
Mrs. Crone is survived by two daughters, Mrs. William (Jeanette) Englert of Tuscon, Ariz., and Mrs. Joan Sterling of Townville; six grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Crowther of Titusville; two sisters, Mrs. John (Florence) Strawbridge of Titusville and Mrs. Eleanor Walker of Dawson, Texas; two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Frances Crowther and Mrs. Genevieve "Babe" Crowther, both of Titusville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Crone, in 1949; a son-in-law Emerson Sterling; and two brothers, Stanley and Ivan Crowther.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there on Tuesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Donald Russell, pastor of the Mt. Hope/Pine Grove United Methodist Churches, officiating.
Interment will be in the Cochranton Cemetery.

JOHN R. McMANIGLE, 58
John R. McManigle, 58, of 280 Main St., Tidioute, died Friday evening, April 4, 2003, of an apparent heart attack while checking the turbidity at the Tidioute Water Treatment Plant on Buckley Road.
He was born in Tidioute, Sept. 30, 1944, a son of the late Raymond and Myrtle Smith McManigle and had lived in Tidioute his whole life.
He was a member of the Tidioute United Methodist Church, Temple Lodge #412, F & AM, Tidioute. The International Union of Operating Engineers, AFL-CIO, a life member and former chief of the Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department, a former EMT with the Tidioute Ambulance Squad and a former member and chairman of the Southwest Warren County Municipal Authority.
He was a graduate of Tidioute High School, class of 1962, the Nashville Auto Diesel College and served in the United States Air Force. At the time of his death, he was employed with Tidioute Borough/SWCMA, and had formerly owned and operated the D and M Automotive Service in Tidioute and had worked for Larry's Automotive Service in Titusville.
He is survived by his wife, Jane McWilliams McManigle; a daughter, Mrs. Scott (Renee) Williams, Tidioute; a son, Jason R. McManigle, Beaver; one grandson; a sister, Mary Lou Drukenbrod, Tidioute; three brothers, Charles R. McManigle, Bruce W. McManigle, both of Tidioute, and David E. McManigle, in Kentucky.
Friends will be received at the James M. Higgins Funeral Home, 3 Elm St., Tidioute, today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Tidioute United Methodist Church with Rev. John Gerber, pastor, and Dr. G. Donald McAfoose, former pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in Swedish Union Cemetery, Triumph Township, Warren County. The Pequignot/Yeager VFW, Post 8803, will provide military honors.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department.

WALTER E. ONGLEY, 50
Walter E. Ongley, 50, of 16702 Rouseville Rd., Pleasantville, died at 12:50 a.m. on Sunday, April 6, 2003, at the Meadville Medical Center.
Ongley was born on July 16, 1952, in Titusville to Elaine Southwick Ongley and the late Kenneth R. Ongley.
A graduate of Titusville High School, class of 1970, he also served in the Army National Guard in Franklin.
He was the owner and operator of Ongley Lumber and Logging with over 30 years of experience in the logging industry. He also raised deer at his farm "Sawdust Run."
Ongley was a member of the National Rifle Assoc. and the Whitetail Breeders Assoc.
He was an avid hunter, and he enjoyed racing cars and golfing.
Ongley is survived by his mother of Titusville; his wife, Kate Thomas Ongley of Pleasantville; three children: Patrick Ongley and wife, Jennifer, Joseph Ongley and wife, Patricia, of Pleasantville, Lisa Standfest and husband, Jeffrey, of Strattonville; three step-sons, Matthew Thomas of Michigan and Adam Thomas and Jason Thomas, both of Titusville; one step-grandson, Austin Thomas of Titusville; three brothers, Glenn Ongley and wife, Marilyn, of Taccoa, Ga., Lynn Ongley and wife, Leah, Bradley Ongley and wife, Sharon, of Titusville; his former wife, Mary Jane Ongley, of Titusville; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and attend the funeral service from the funeral home at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Pastor Terri Warner of the Gilson Ridge Free Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
