Mrs. Mae Clopp
Mrs. Mae Corrine Clopp of 317 Summit Avenue, Ligonier, died Sunday in McGinnis Hospital after a lengthy illness (she had been bedfast for five years). She was a lifelong resident of the Ligonier Valley, born September 24, 1885, in Ligonier Township to Alexander & Susan Brant Ambrose, and was the widow of Harry Clopp who died in 1964. She leaves two sons, Floyd M. of Ligonier and John H. of Derry, a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Ruth) Black of Atlanta; and seven grandchildren. Rev. George H. Wright of Covenant United Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member, conducted final rites today in Sibel-Wolford Funeral Home, and interment was in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.

HARRY M. CLOPP
Harry M. Clopp, native of Ligonier Township and longtime dairy farmer on Freeman road, died in North Miami, Fla., Monday at the age of 82. He had been ailing for three years, and he and his wife moved to Florida 2 1/2 years ago. He died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ruth C. Black. He was a former deacon of Covenant United Presbyterian Church. Survivors are his widow (Mae Ambrose Clopp), two sons (Floyd M. Clopp of Freeman road, Ligonier and John H. Clopp of Derry), his daughter (Mrs. Black), two brothers (John W. Clopp of Ligonier and Roy F. Clopp of Clarksburg, Va.) and 7 grandchildren. Rev. George H. Wright conducted funeral services in Sibel-Wolford Funeral Home yesterday afternoon. Burial was in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.

MISS MARY E. CLOPP
Miss Mary E. Clopp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry M. Clopp of near Ligonier died at her home on Friday evening September 9, 1927, from typhoid fever. She was aged 19 years the 22nd day of last May. She was a graduate of Ligonier High School, class of 1925. For the past two years she had been a student at Grove City College and had planned to resume her studies as a Junior there this year. She is survived by her parents, two brothers, John and Floyd and one sister, Ruth. Funeral services were held at the home on Monday afternoon at 2:30 in charge of her pastor Rev. H.F. Cost. Interment was made in the Valley Cemetery.

IRENE GRAHAM CLOPP
Irene Graham Clopp, 77, wife of J. Wilbert Clopp, died at 1 p.m. Wednesday in McGinnis Hospital. A life-long resident of Ligonier, she was born Oct. 1, 1882, the daughter of the late I.M. and Maria McKlveen Graham. Her father was owner and publisher of the Ligonier Echo for many years. Mrs. Clopp was a past president and charter member of the Woman's Club of Ligonier, and the last surviving charter member of the Lady St. Clair Rebekah Lodge. Her lodge activities included the office of past noble grand, past district deputy and treasurer for 35 years. She was one of the founders of the Ligonier Valley Library and served several terms as a director. A member of the Presbyterian Church, she was active in various church organizations. In addition to her husband, she is survived by a nephew, Albert C. Graham; and three nieces, Mrs. Phay H. Graham, Mrs. H.E. Vance, Jr., and Mrs. J. Albert Bracken, all of Ligonier. Friends are being received at her late residence, 120 N. St. Clair St., where services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday by Rev. George H. Wright, her pastor. Burial will be in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.

John W. Clopp
John Wilbert "Bert" Clopp of 120 N. St. Clair Street, Ligonier, died Sunday in Latrobe Area Hospital at the age of 84. A retired assistant cashier of Mellon National Bank's Ligonier Office, he had been treasurer of Ligonier Borough for 30 years and of Covenant United Presbyterian Church for 45 years, retiring from both positions last January. Rev. George H. Wright will conduct funeral services this afternoon (Wednesday) at 2 o'clock in Covenant Church; and interment , under the direction of Sibel-Wolford Funeral Home, will be in Ligonier Valley Cemetery. The son of John & Lucy Withrow Clopp was born February 15, 1885, in Ligonier Township and had lived in the Valley all his life. He graduated from Actual Business College, Pittsburgh, in 1904, taught at the college for a year, served as freight agent for Ligonier Valley Rail Road Co. from 1905 to 1917 when he entered the banking business. He served two terms on Ligonier Borough Council (1940-48), was a former register of vital statistics for the Ligonier District in addition to his duties as municipal treasurer. He had been a member of Latrobe Odd Fellows Lodge 541 for more than 60 years. In 1919, he was married to Irene Graham of Ligonier who died nine years ago.

MRS. PEARL BAKER
Mrs. Pearl Roberts Baker of Rector died Monday in McGinnis Hospital at the age of 82. Yesterday she was buried in Ligonier Valley Cemetery following obsequies in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Rector, of which she was a member. Rev. H. Donald Lash conducted the services and D. Paul Wilkinson handled funeral arrangements. Mrs. Baker was born Oct. 25, 1882, in Pittsburgh, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Shannon Baker [Roberts - ed.]; she had lived most her life in the Ligonier Valley, except for a 10-year period in Jeannette. She was a member of Rector Garden Club. The widow of Frank Baker who died in 1940, she is survived by two sons (Harry S. of Rector and Edgar of Wilmerding), three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Frank K. Baker
Ill for some time, Frank K. Baker died at 1:15 o'clock Sunday morning at his home in Rector, Ligonier township. He was 75 years old. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Pearl Baker; two sons, Harry and Edward, both of Rector; two sisters, Mrs. Jane Brown of Jeannette, and Mrs. Mary Guy of Grapeville; three brothers, William and Joseph, both of Saltsburg, and John, of Derry, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at his late home in Rector, with the Rev. R.A. Nelson, pastor of the Ligonier Evangelical church, in charge. Interment followed in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
