FREDERICK REYNOLDS
Frederick Reynolds, 67, of North Huntingdon, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, in Jeannette District Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 28, 1931, in Pitcairn, a son of the late Frederick and Helen Wilhide Reynolds. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner/operator of Reynold's Sports Cars in North Huntingdon, and was formerly employed by American Architectural Metals, Jeannette. He was a lifetime member of the Circleville Fire Department, a 21-year member of the American Legion and the Jeannette Eagles, and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served in the Korean conflict. He is survived by his wife, Lorayne Campoli Reynolds; two sons, Edward Reynolds of North Huntingdon and Fred "Spider" Reynolds of Olean, N.Y.; a daughter, Robin Hitshue of Austin, Texas; a stepdaughter, Denise Weixel of Level Green; a sister, Carole Crookston of North Huntingdon; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Franklin Bishop officiating, followed by interment in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rescue 8, or to the Circleville Fire Department.

CORA ADA ROSS
Cora Ada Ross, 95, of Derry, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 1999, in Loyalhanna Care Center. She was born Oct. 27, 1903, in Robinson, a daughter of the late John F. and Olive Viola Bowers Moore. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Derry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis N. Ross Sr. on June 29, 1960; two brothers, Wilbert and Everett Moore; and two sisters, Clara Hall and Viola Goffner. She is survived by two sons, Paul F. and his wife Jean Ross of Whispering Pines, North Carolina, and Lewis N. and his wife Ann Ross of Mentor, Ohio; a brother, Roy S. Moore of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; and a sister, Mary Yeager of Latrobe; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the McCABE FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Third Ave., Derry, where services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David D. Wilson Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Coles Cemetery, Derry.

EDITH G. SCARCELLA ROSSO
Edith G. Scarcella Rosso, 86, of North Huntingdon, died Friday Nov. 12, 1999, in Alexandria, Va. She was born Jan. 15, 1913, in Herminie, a daughter of the late Alfred and Frances Mangan Scarcella. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo "Scratch" Rosso, in 1994; a brother, James Scarcella; and three sisters, Rose Brenna, Angeline Arrotti and Jennie Mistro. Surviving are three daughters, Sylvia Matthews of Springfield Va., Karen Wykle and Sandy Rosso Cooper, both of Alexandria, Va.; three grandchildren; a brother, Anthony Scarcella of California; and four sisters, Josephine Fischetti of Florida, Mary Gross and Margaret Kimberly, both of North Huntingdon, and Carmae Evansek of Herminie. Friends will be received at the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., Fifth and Oak streets, Irwin, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, North Huntingdon. Memorials may be made to the Northern Virginia Hospice, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Suite 501, Falls Church, VA 22042

ALFRED LABER
Alfred Laber, 93, a resident of North Huntingdon Township for many years, and most recently a resident of St. Anne Home, Greensburg, died Thursday, Nov. 11, 1999, in St. Anne Home. He was born March 7, 1906, in Irwin, a son of the late Joseph and Barbara Cipra Laber. Alfred was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Irwin for more than 45 years. Alfred was employed as a draftsman for the Westinghouse Air Brake Co. of Wilmerding, from which he retired in 1971. He worked there for 36 years. Outside this employment, he enjoyed gardening and hunting throughout his life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Stehney Laber, to whom he was married for 63 years. He is survived by his only son, the Rev. J. Kenneth Laber, pastor of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Erie, and his wife, Susan, of North East, Pa.; and his grandchildren, Heidi M. Laber of Oakland, Calif., and Christian S. Laber and his wife, Ellen, of Ventura, Calif. Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., Fifth and Oak streets, Irwin. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, with the Rev. William L. Hauser officiating. Interment will follow in the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials may be given to the memorial fund of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Main and Fifth streets, Irwin, PA 15642.

MARY MARGARET PIVIK
Mary Margaret Pivik, 100, of Murrysville, on Friday, Nov. 12, 1999. Wife of the late Joseph Pivik. Beloved mother of Mildred McGowan, Gloria Vuletich, Orvin Pivik, Carol Hart, Mary Braun, Joseph Pivik, and the late Elmer Pivik, Carolyn Pivik, Verna Flanders and Chalmer Pivik. Grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 26. Friends received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the MAURICE L. KNEE LTD. FUNERAL HOME, 7663 Saltsburg Road, Plum Borough (across from S&T Bank). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. in St. Barbara Catholic Church, Harrison City.

CASS RINKACS
Cass Rinkacs, 64, of North Huntingdon, died Friday, Nov. 12, 1999, at her home. She was born Jan. 3, 1935, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late William and Mary McDougall. She was formerly employed as a clerk by Flex Medco RX. Cass was a member of St. Stephen's Byzantine Catholic Church, North Huntingdon, and the Ladies Guild, Markvue Manor Women's Club, was a volunteer for Norwin Public Library, and was voted Mother of the Year in the Irwin area in the 1980s. She is survived by her husband, Denis J. Rinkacs; five sons, William J. of Apollo, Denis J. of Pittsburgh, John S. of North Attleborough, Mass., Thomas J. of White Oak, and David E. of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Christine Liner of North Augusta, S.C.; a sister, Patricia McLaughlin of Philadelphia; and six grandchildren, C.J., Wynonna, Sammy, Paul, Jacob, and Maddie. Friends will be received at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, Sunday and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephen's Church, followed by interment in the New St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Norwin Public Library, 299 Third St., Irwin, PA 15642, or to the American Cancer Society, 241 Fourth Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

Hykes
Rolland T. Hykes, 86, of Export died April 8, 2001.
Born May 20, 1914, in Coshocton, Ohio, he was the son of Thomas and Emily Frush Hykes.
Mr. Hykes was a retired steel worker with more than 36 years of service at U.S.Steel Carrie Furnace in Rankin.
He was a member of Forbes Trail Lodge F&AM 738 and Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Export, where he sang in the choir for many years.
During World War II, he served as a captain in the Army Air Corps.
He was an avid gardener and poet and a volunteer for the MC2 in Murrysville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Winifred Peterson Hykes; sons, David of Trafford, John of Glastonbury, Conn., James of Wilkins and Robert Hykes of Export; a daughter, Elizabeth Hykes of Willow Springs, Mo.; and 10 grandchildren.
Friends were received at Edwin N. Wolfe Funeral Home.
Service was at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Export with the Rev. Gregory Held officiating.
Interment was at Restland Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Alzheimer's Association, Laurel Mountain Chapter, 1011 Old Salem Road, Greensburg, Pa. 15601.

Bossart
Wendell Beck Bossart, 81, of Mamont died Nov. 19, 2001, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital.
Born Feb. 17, 1920, in Youngwood, he was the son of William and Irene (Beck) Bossart.
Mr. Bossart was an educator and school administrator at a number of schools, including Oakmont where he previously was assistant to the superintendent.
After retirement he worked organizing the Christian Fellowship Academy. He enjoyed membership in Lions International, Rotary International and Gideons International. He was a pilot in the European Theater during World War II.
Surviving are his wife of more than 54 years, Betty (Branthoover) Bossart; a son, W. Bedell Bossart of Export; daughters, Wendy Bossart of Export and W. Becky Dixon of Littleton, Colo.; a granddaughter; brother, Daniel Bossart; and a sister, Emma Lou Easley.
Friends were received at William Snyder Funeral Home with additional viewing at Christian Fellowship Center in Jeannette.
Interment was at Twin Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to Christian Fellowship Academy, 2005 Ridge Road, Jeannette, PA 15644 or Free Gospel Bible Institute, P.O. Box 477, Export, PA 15632 or Gideons International, P.O. Box 45, Irwin, PA 15642.
