STEVE J. USCHAK
Steve J. Uschak, 75, of Derry, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Loyalhanna, a son of the late Jacob and Anna Uschak. He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Bradenville. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Teledyne-Vasco Co., Latrobe. He was also a member of the Greek Club, Knights of Columbus 940 and American Legion Post 515, both of Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Julian, Russell, Pete, Michael, John and Paul Uschak; and a sister, Mary Uschak. He is survived by his wife, Josephine M. Glamp Uschak; three sons, Stephen J. Uschak and his wife, Joy, of Greensburg, David F. Uschak and his wife, Stephanie, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dean R. Uschak of Somerset; a daughter, Susan M. Hook of Rockwood, Pa.; two brothers, Joseph Uschak of Loyalhanna and Nicholas Uschak of Derry RD2; two sisters, Ann Staschak and her husband, Michael, of Derry RD2 and Helen Bryan and her husband, George, of Derry RD2; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Parastas service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Panachida service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, Derry Township. Military services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

FRANK G. BUFFERS
Frank G. Buffers, 86, of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, in Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Sept. 4, 1913, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Peter and Theresa Guido Buffers. He was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church of Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Sullivan Buffers, in 1972; two brothers, Joseph Buffers in 1994 and Paul Buffers in 1998; and two sisters, Delphina Storey in 1993 and Rosemarie Buffers in 1994. Surviving are his brother-in-law; sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. No public visitation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 7 p.m. in St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Michael W. Matusak as celebrant. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by GALONE-CARUSO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Eagle St., Mt. Pleasant.

MARGARET E. BURCHELL
Margaret E. "Maggie" Burchell, 16, of Benbrook, Texas, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, at her home. She was born Sept. 22, 1983, in Mt. Pleasant. She is the daughter of Romona A. Burton Burchell, of Benbrook, Texas, and the late William A. Burchell, who passed away in 1990. She was a student at the Western Hills High School in Benbrook; was a former student at Mt. Pleasant High School and Ramsay Elementary School. She was a member and former C.C.D. student, and altar server with the St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. She had attended St. Felix R.C. Church in Freedom, prior to moving to Texas, and St. Bartholomew R.C. Church in Benbrook. She was a former volunteer worker with the Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. In addition to her mother, she is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Timothy and Julie Burton of Ambridge, William A. and Ruth Burchell of Monongahela, and Gregory and Cynthia Burchell of Turtle Creek; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Romona A. Burchell of Benbrook and Mary Ellen and Joseph Holiquin of Turtle Creek; also her maternal grandmother, Kathleen B. Donohoe Burton of Freedom; four aunts and two uncles, Arabelle Bowman of Hopwood, Agnes Steshoski of Baggs, Okla., Kathleen R. and Keith Curry of Freedom, and Gerard R. and Linda Burton of Beaver Falls; numerous cousins; and a niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, George W. Burton in 1997, and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Henry Burchell. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the WILLIAM MURPHY FUNERAL HOME INC., 349 Adams St., Rochester, Pa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Felix R.C. Church, Freedom, with Father Leon Leitem as celebrant. A prayer vigil service will be held Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

RICHARD A. LOVE
Richard A. Love, 65, of Derry, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1934, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Samuel and Mary Schoenman Love. He worked for Boron Oil Co., Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Margaret Love; and a brother, John Love. Survivors include his wife, Florence B. Sage Love; four sons, Richard A. Love Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Latrobe, Gary L. Love and his wife, Cathy, of Derry, Jeffrey D. Love and his wife, Susan, of Latrobe, and Kevin J. Love at home; two daughters, Debra A. Daugherty and her husband, Clinton, and Cynthia J. Titel, all of Derry; a brother, Samuel Love of Plum; two sisters, Betty Shanter, and Norma Jean Schropp and her husband, Charles, all of Irwin; 11 grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe, where a blessing service will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Lawrence T. Persico, J.C.L., officiating. Interment Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.

PHYLLIS JEAN ELIZABETH HARSHMAN CHAIN
Phyllis Jean Elizabeth Harshman Chain, 72, of Clay Avenue, Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 20, 1999, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born June 30, 1927, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Alvin and Lillian Burger Harshman. Phyllis was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. Phyllis leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and devoted children, Catherine Guptill and her husband, Charles, of Texas, John Chain Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, and Pamela Whitt of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Anthony, Michael, and Charles Guptill Jr., and Amber Chain; and the following brothers and sisters, Earl Harshman of Greensburg, Doreen Toth of Jeannette, Wanneda Gray of Reno, Nev., Vernelle Sullenberger of Greensburg, Donald Harshman and his wife, Margaret, of Florida, Penny Vineyard of North Carolina, and Cindy Harshman of Scottdale. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John William Chain; and a sister, Agnes Allshouse, who died in 1984. Phyllis' family will receive friends in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael W. Matusak, pastor of St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant, officiating. Interment will follow in the Scottdale Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to one's favorite charity in memory of Phyllis J. Chain.

JOHN F. KENNEY SR.
John F. "Jack" Kenney Sr., 75, of Crabtree, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Feb. 25, 1924, in Crabtree, a son of the late George Sr. and Catherine McClain Kenney. After attending public school in the Greensburg Salem School District, he attended St. Vincent College. During World War II, he served in the European Theater as a platoon sergeant and saw action in the Ardennes Forest during the Battle of the Bulge. In addition to being a lifelong Democrat and active in Democratic party circles, he was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, the Crabtree Volunteer Fire Department, the Jeannette American Legion, and served on the Salem Township and Greensburg Salem Recreation Boards. He gave much of his time to guide and direct young people by coaching little league, pony league, prep league and American Legion baseball. He served on the Greensburg Salem School Board for 19 years and represented the school district on the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit Board for 15 years. As a member of the Greensburg Salem and WIU boards, he negotiated numerous collective bargaining agreements with both professional and classified employees. He was employed by Kennametal Inc. for 20 years, was a District Justice for two years and served as a Workers Compensation Judge in the PA Department of Labor and Industry for 27 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald and Paul; two brothers, George Jr. and William; a sister, Ann Januck; and two infant sisters. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Marguerite Ferlin Kenney; his son, Dr. Jack Kenney Jr. of Greensburg and his wife, Peggy, and their two children, Justin and Jessica; his daughter, Maureen Fleck of Greensburg and her husband, Jim, and their daughter, Danielle; his son, Patrick Kenney of Winter Springs, Fla., and his wife, Posie, and their children, Kellie, Shane, Katie and Megan; his son, Dr. Donald Kenney of Columbia, S.C., and his wife, Lael, and their children, Manya, Emma and Madison; his son, Kevin Kenney of Columbus, Ohio, and his son, Ryan; and his granddaughter and the daughter of his deceased son, Ronald, Deanna Lynn Hrosik of Hudson, Ohio, and her husband, Mike, and their children, Haley and Ryan. He is also survived by his sister, Rita McFeeley of Greensburg and her husband, John; his sisters-in-law, Eleanor Kenney of Crabtree and Peggy Kenney of Latrobe; his brother-in-law, Joe Januck of Natrona Heights; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends will be received at the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME, 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, (724) 837-0020, Monday from 7 to 9 P.M. and Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 A.M. in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Crabtree. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Calvary Hill Cemetery, Crabtree, accorded by the VFW Post #33 Honor Guard, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the John F. Kenney Sr. Scholarship Fund, c/o Dr. John F. Kenney Jr., 404 Sheffield Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601. Natale N. BELINDA R. PATRIZIO
Belinda R. Patrizio, 92, of Murrysville, formerly of Oakmont, died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999. She was born Oct. 5, 1907, in Friuli, Italy, a daughter of the late Guido and Teresa Martina Fussaro. She lived in Oakmont from 1927 to 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Patrizio, in 1969; a grandson, Ronald Stoll, in 1982; and a sister, Josephine Edmunds. She is survived by a son, William Patrizio and his wife, Sally, of McMurray; two daughters, Dolores Patrizio of Rockville, Md., and Geraldine Stoll of Murrysville; a brother, Rudolph Fussaro of Oakmont; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation was Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the JOHN T. HART FUNERAL HOME, Murrysville. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Mother of Sorrows Church, Murrysville. Interment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. If desired, memorials may be made to the Ronald Stoll Trail, c/o the Municipality of Murrysville, Recreation Department; or to one's favorite charity.

EMMA M. BUGOSH
Emma M. Bugosh, 79, of Scottdale, died early Saturday morning, Nov. 20, 1999, in St. Andrews Village, Indiana, Pa. Emma's family will receive friends in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Scottdale, with the Rev. Emil S. Payer as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist R.C. Parish Cemetery, Scottdale. A parish rosary will be recited Monday at 2 p.m., and a parish wake will be held Monday at 8:30 p.m., both in the funeral home.
