EDGAR R. MILLER
Edgar R. Miller, 86, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Nov. 12, 1913, in Latrobe, a son of the late Edgar R. and Mary E. Walker Miller. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Latrobe. He had been retired from the Latrobe Bulletin Co. and also the Greater Latrobe School District. He was a member of the B.P.O.E. #907, Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Bowman Miller; and a sister, Lillian Chockla. Survived by a daughter, Sandra F. Gaul of Latrobe; a brother, William E. Miller of Polk City, Fla.; two grandchildren, Kelly Stanko and her husband, Greg, of Derry and E. Robert "Bob" Gaul and his wife, Priscilla Lee, of Bradenville; and six great-grandchildren, Brandon, BreeAnna, and Brooke Stanko, and Ryan, Sean and Rachelle Gaul. There will be no public visitations. Services and interment will be private. The JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe, in charge of the arrangements.

MARY ELLEN REICHARD
Mary Ellen Reichard, 92, of Ligonier, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1907, in Greenville, Pa., a daughter of the late James Albert and Etta Estella Weikal Reash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence P. Reichard, in 1978; twin granddaughters, Jane and Joyce Depp; a daughter, Dorothy Ellen Reichard; a sister, Gertrude Mowry; brothers, Laverne and Norman Reash; and a great-grandson, Jonathan Depp. Survived by a daughter, Mrs. John (Betty) Depp of Ligonier; three grandchildren, Gary A. Depp, Lt. Col. Gail Ford, and Laura A. Depp; and two great-grandchildren, Loretta and Alisha Depp. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the J. PAUL McCRACKEN FUNERAL HOME INC., 144 E. Main St., Ligonier. Service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Robert D. Cummings officiating. Interment Delaware Cemetery, Greenville. Memorial contributions to a charity of one's choice.

KEITH B. ANDERSON
Keith B. Anderson, 64, of Latrobe, died Wednesday, Dec. 29,was born April 6, 1935, in Jeannette, a son of the late Harold B. and Eleanor A. Barry Anderson. He was retired from the GenCorp in Jeannette. He was a member of the F.O.E. 01188 of Latrobe and the Cooperstown Veterans and Sportsmen's Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor A. Slezak Anderson. Survived by a son, Keith L. Anderson and his wife, Darla, of Latrobe; two daughters, Darlene Kelly and her husband, Jerry, of Derry, and Kathleen Spangler and her husband, Garry, of Josephine; a brother, Bruce H. Anderson and his wife, Mary, of Acme RD1; six grandchildren, Kevin, Jamie, Nicole, Jarrad, Amy and Jessica; and a great-grandson, Marcus. Visitations will be held Friday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe, from 10 to 11 a.m. for immediate family. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, New Alexandria.

EMMA B. (SMUCKER) WALTER
Emma B. (Smucker) Walter, 104, of Vine Street, Greensburg, formerly of Boswell, Somerset County, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at the home of her daughter. Born March 12, 1895, in Somerset County, a daughter of John P. and Addie Ream Smucker. Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John J. Walter, on May 18, 1959; a son-in-law, William Ball; a daughter-in-law, Florence Walter; and six sisters. Survived by a daughter, Ruth Ball, with whom she resided; a son, Eugene of Stoughton Lake, Jennerstown; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was the oldest member of Maple Spring Church of the Brethren and a long-time member of the former Silver Ray Rebekah Lodge, Boswell. She was the former owner/operator of Sliding Rock Golf Course near Jennerstown, now operated by her son, Eugene. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the HOFFMAN FUNERAL HOME, Main Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating. Interment Jenners Crossroads Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Gideons International, Somerset Camp, Box 31, Friedens, PA 15541.

ELIZA M. YOUNG
Eliza M. Young, 88, of Arona, Pa., died Sunday, Dec. 26, 1999, at Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. Born March 26, 1911, in Arona, a daughter of the late John and Phoebe Miller Morgan. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Arona. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Young; a great-granddaughter; two brothers, John C. and Stanley M. Morgan; and a sister, Helen Packey Shirley. Surviving are two sons, Robert Dillon of Mineral Point, Pa., and David Young of Jeannette; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, David E. Morgan of Greensburg; and a sister, Kathryn Royer of Irwin. Friends will be received at the BEATTY-RICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Route 136, Madison, Wednesday from 9 to 11 a.m., the hour of service with her pastor, the Rev. L. Samuel Scheiderer, officiating. Interment will follow in the Madison Union Cemetery.

ALBERT E. CALDWELL
Albert E. Caldwell, 72, of Mt. Pleasant Road, West Newton (South Huntingdon Township), died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, in Jefferson Hospital, Jefferson Borough. He was born June 6, 1927, in Irwin, a son of the late Francis and Martha Caldwell. He was retired from Highland Carbide Tool Co. in Irwin and was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Post 31 in West Newton. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorraine F. Minkus Caldwell; a daughter, JoAnn Aultz and her husband, Jim, of West Newton; and three grandchildren, Jan, Jennel and Jamie Aultz. Friends will be received at the RICHARD F. DODSON FUNERAL HOME, 213 Main St., West Newton, at a time to be announced.

JOHN A. CRAFT SR.
John A. Craft Sr., 58, of Jeannette, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, in Monsour Medical Center, Jeannette. He was born Dec. 18, 1941, in Hurt, Va., a son of the late Irian Craft. He was employed by Brandywine Industries in Homewood. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Craft. He is survived by his wife, Mary Davis Craft; three sons, Robbie Craft and James Craft, both of Jeannette, and John A. Craft Jr. and his wife, Lorraine, of Delmont; a daughter, Kim Vitto and her husband, Raphael, of Florida; 11 grandchildren; three brothers, Curtis Hunt of Washington, D.C., Esther Hunt and Carl Hunt, both of Virginia; two sisters, Loretta and Tootie Hunt, both of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Additional viewing will be Friday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Hopewell Baptist Church, Jeannette, at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Richard Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in Hillview Cemetery, Hempfield Township.

SAMUEL J. GENTILE SR.
Samuel J. Gentile Sr., 80, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, in the Oakland VA Medical Center, Pittsburgh. He was born June 7, 1919, in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Angeline Cammarata Gentile. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed by Robertshaw Controls in New Stanton. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church of Greensburg and the Jeannette American Legion Post. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by six brothers and sisters, Charles, Joseph and Angelo Gentile, Margaret McFeeley, Frances Keough and Katherine Pandolph. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Holecko Gentile; a son, Samuel J. Gentile Jr. and his wife, Pamela, of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Ashley A., Jessica L., Anna M. and Anthony J. Gentile; and a brother, James Gentile of Detroit, Mich. Friends will be received at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church. Entombment will follow in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.

MARY JANE GRIFFITH
Mary Jane Griffith, 88, of New Alexandria, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, in the Loyalhanna Care Center, Latrobe. She was born May 2, 1911, in Swissvale, a daughter of the late Herbert and Dorothy Rudge. She was retired from Columbia Hospital in Pittsburgh. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard C. Griffith; and two daughters, Corrinne Moersch and Mary Lou Benson. Survived by two daughters, Lois L. Stewart Horn and husband, Harvey, of New Alexandria, and Dorothy Jean White of California; a son, Clyde Griffith and wife, Florence, of Plum Borough; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington streets, New Alexandria, where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lota C. Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Penn Hills.

KATHERINE T. KEELING
Katherine T. Keeling, 102, of Route 2, Box 300, Ruffsdale, and a former long-time Naugatuck, Conn., resident, died Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, at St. Anne's Home in Greensburg. Miss Keeling was born in Naugatuck, Feb. 21, 1897, a daughter of the late Frederick J. and Nancy (Hoadley) Keeling. She was a school teacher, having taught in the Garfield, N.J., school system, prior to her retirement, when she returned to Naugatuck. She had resided in Pennsylvania the past six years. Miss Keeling was a communicant of St. Michael's Episcopal Church, and was a member of the Church Helpers. She was also a member of Sarah Rogers Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Naugatuck Historical Society. She leaves several nieces and nephews, including: Nancy Lavelle of Shaker Heights, Ohio, David McCaskie of Sheffield Lakes, Ohio, and John McCaskie of Ruffsdale, with whom she made her home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m. in St. Michael's Episcopal Church, Naugatuck, Conn. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, Naugatuck, Conn. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Church Memorial Fund, 210 Church St., Naugatuck, CT 06770. The ALDERSON FUNERAL HOME of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St., is in charge of arrangements.
