MADELINE L. RUTHERFORD
Madeline L. Rutherford, 85, formerly of Southwest Greensburg, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2000, in the Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. She was born April 24, 1914, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Irene Bittner Lynch. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Rutherford, on July 29, 1999; two sisters, Henrietta Palmaverdi and Irene Miller; and a brother, Joseph Lynch. She is survived by a daughter, Donna L. and her husband, Andrew N. DeLoretta, of Greensburg; a son, Robert W. Jr. and his wife, Mary Margaret Rutherford, of Fayetteville; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert and his wife, Helen Lynch, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg, with the Rev. Robert C. Wilson officiating. Private entombment will take place in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park Mausoleum. Family suggests memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church, 15 E. Second St., Greensburg, PA 15601.

ALICE M. HELBLING
Alice M. Helbling, 81, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Pittsburgh, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, in UPMC Shadyside. She was born Sept. 12, 1918, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Harry and Alice Devine Williams. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Unertl Optical. She was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon, and its Christian Mothers and Emerald Club. Also she was a member of AARP. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Helbling; and a daughter, Mary Alice Kozlowski. She is survived by her daughter, Mildred "Millie" Rain of North Huntingdon; four grandchildren, Mary Lynn Fick, David J. Kozlowski, Sandra Kozlowski and Michelle Rain; and two great-grandchildren, Josh and Chase. Friends will be received at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church. Interment will take place at 2 p.m. in North Side Catholic Cemetery. Christian Mothers and the Emerald Club will recite the rosary Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

MARGARET M. MIKLOS
Margaret M. Miklos, 73, of North Huntingdon, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at her home. She was born June 8, 1926, in Duquesne, Pa., a daughter of the late Francis and Mary Antol Olechovsky. She was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander L. Miklos; and a brother, Frank Olechovsky. She is survived by two sons, Mark A. and Kevin D. Miklos, both of North Huntingdon; two daughters, Karen Peterson of Warren, Ohio, and Diane Egan of North Huntingdon; a brother, Ed Olechovsky of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Eleanor Olechovsky of Duquesne and Virginia Koval of North Versailles; and 11 grandchildren. Friends will be received at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, followed by entombment in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park.

VELMA MARIE MYERS
Velma Marie Myers, 91, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of New Castle, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, in the Harmon House, Mt. Pleasant. She was born June 17, 1908, in Freed, a daughter of the late Sarah Jane Keefer Gregor Grimm. She had resided in New Castle from 1950-1990. She was previously employed at the Strauss-Hershberg Department Store in New Castle. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Mt. Pleasant Church of God. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her husband, William Edgar Myers, in 1960; a daughter, Betty Jean Rath; four brothers, Harold, Jesse, Waide and William Gregor; and two sisters, Ann Oles and Helen Westerbeck. She is survived by three grandchildren, Carol Pavick of Norvelt, Larry Rath of Mt. Pleasant and John Rath of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; four great-grandchildren, Alisa Pavick Barnhart of Mt. Pleasant, Douglas Pavick of Mammoth and Michael and Lara Rath of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Gladys Ruth Smith and her husband, Vernon, of Mt. Pleasant; and her son-in-law, Elmer Rath of Mt. Pleasant. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Charles Yost officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Tarrs.

JAMES E. PALMER
James E. Palmer, 78, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, at his residence. He was born Oct. 23, 1921, in Unity Township, a son of the late Earl W. and Jennie Blank Palmer. He was an equipment operator for Brownfield Bros., had served in the U.S. Army during World War II, and was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Trauger, formerly serving on the church council. Surviving are his wife, June H. Palmer; children, Beverly Dohey and husband, Andy, of Greensburg, Thomas Palmer and wife, Charlene, of Butler and Dan Palmer of Greensburg; brothers, George Palmer and wife, Clara, Roy Palmer and wife, Hazel, Glenn Palmer and wife, Marion, and Merrill Palmer and wife, Janet, all of Greensburg; and sisters, Genevieve Strickler of Latrobe and Helen Snyder and husband, Charles, of Greensburg. Also survived by four granddaughters; and a great-grandson. Friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Kurt Kusserow officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park. The family requests memorial contributions to one's favorite charity.

JOSEPHINE M. PIGNETTI
Josephine M. Pignetti, 86, of Greensburg, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at her residence. She was born June 12, 1913, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Joseph and Rosinia DeRosa Policastro. She was the retired co-owner of Age Craft Manufacturing of Greensburg. She was a member of the Church of St. Paul and the Sons of Columbus of America. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Pignetti; and a brother, Patsy Policastro. Survivors include her children, Dr. John Pignetti and wife, Martha, of Greensburg, Joanne Chew and husband, Frank, of Dayton, Ohio, and Linda Newell and husband, John, of Pittsburgh; a brother, Ben Policastro and wife, Helen, of Greensburg; a sister, Frances Teet and husband, James, of Greensburg; and her special friend, Kathleen Siegel. Also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Family and friends will be received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held Thursday at 9:45 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Paul with Father Leonard Stoviak as celebrant. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. The family wishes memorial contributions to the Westmoreland Hospice, 532 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg.

LILLIAN M. PRY
Lillian M. Pry, 86, of North Huntingdon, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2000, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born April 13, 1913, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late William and Margaret Taylor. She was a member of The Church in Sutersville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh J. Pry; and two sisters, Wilda Rowe and Mary Zavalydriga. She is survived by a son, Hugh E. Pry of Spartanburg, S.C.; two daughters, Arlene Harper of North Huntingdon and Margaret Frye of Jeannette; a sister, Eunice Saul of Conneaut Lake, Pa.; nine grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the SHIRLEY-KUKICH FUNERAL HOME INC., Clay Pike, Circleville, North Huntingdon, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Frank Rocco officiating. Interment will take place in Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon.

PAUL E.S. WILLIAMS
Paul E.S. Williams, 71, of Mt. Pleasant Township, went to his eternal rest Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at the Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born Nov. 17, 1928, in Portland, Maine. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Community Church, where he served as a deacon, taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and headed the Missionary Committee. Paul was a licensed Pennsylvania lay preacher, and was an avid woodsman and commercial printer. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a machinist by Kennametal, Latrobe. He was a veteran of Korea, having served with the U.S. Army. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Bean Williams, of South Grafton, Mass., who will celebrate her 100th birthday in March. He is also survived by his loving wife, Gloria Leeper Alling Williams; three daughters, Martha Keslar and husband, Garry, of Stahlstown, Linda Lewis and husband, Arnold, of Columbus, Ohio, and Doris Caldwell and husband, Jerry, of Edinboro; two stepdaughters, Colleen Radebaugh and husband, Rick, of Jeannette, and Ruth Graft and husband, Don, of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, Robert Williams and Jane of Barton, Vt., Roger Williams and Jane of Worcester, Mass., and Daniel Williams of North Grafton, Mass.; a sister, Thelma Williams of South Grafton, Mass.; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Howard E. Williams; his first wife, Jennie Lou Ankney Williams, in 1982; a brother, David Williams; and two sisters, Martha Williams and Esther Erlandson. Friends will be received at the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m. His funeral service will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Norman Johnston and the Rev. L.C. Kesler co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Laughlintown.

MARGARET A. CHARLEY
Margaret A. Charley, 72, of Jeannette, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at her residence. She was born Oct. 21, 1927, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Arthur and Nellie Shirley Campbell. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the former Jeannette Glass Co. and was a member of the Ascension Church of Jeannette. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Sabato, in 1998; and two brothers, Albert and James Campbell. She is survived by five sisters, Mrs. George (Mary) Baughman of Latrobe, Mrs. Paul (Betty) Anderson of Apollo, Rebecca Campbell and her husband, Phillip, of Hawaii, Mrs. William (Shirley) Leach of Tennessee, and Mrs. Don (Patricia) Oatman of Michigan; three brothers, William Campbell of New Jersey, Richard Campbell and wife, Faye, of Virginia and Glenn Campbell and wife, Bridgette, of Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette, beginning Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in the Ascension Church. Entombment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park Mausoleum, Hempfield Township.

ANN K. STILLWAGON
Ann K. Stillwagon, 87, of Greensburg, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, in the St. Anne Home, Greensburg. She was born Feb. 5, 1913, in Dawson, one of 10 children of Anton and Elizabeth Bendel Luxner. Prior to retirement, she had been a registered nurse at Westmoreland Regional Hospital (1957 to 1978), and then a nurse at the St. Anne Home for 12 years. She was a 1933 graduate of the Uniontown Hospital School of Nursing, received her nursing certification on June 4, 1934, and had been employed at Connellsville State Hospital for many years prior to her affiliation with Westmoreland Regional Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Stillwagon, on May 16, 1967. She is survived by a son, William C. and his wife, Carol Stillwagon, of Greensburg RD8; four grandchildren, Jane and her husband, David Mondock, of Youngwood, Ann and her husband, Peter Loya, of Dawson, John Stillwagon of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Kurt Stillwagon of Greensburg; three great-grandchildren, Kevin and Kathryn Loya and Michael Mondock; and a sister, Rose E. Daniel of Ferndale, Mich. Friends will be received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Thursday at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Interment will follow in the Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville. The family suggests memorial contributions to the St. Anne Home, 685 Angela Drive, Greensburg, or the Westmoreland Regional Hospital Foundation, 532 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601.
