She was born March 21, 1906, in Huntington County, a daughter of the late Frank and Carrie Chilcote Harbaugh. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cafeteria worker for the Elliott Co. of Jeannette. She attended the Primitive Methodist Church, Westmoreland City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos H. Kohl, in 1960; a son, Amos H. "Jumbo" Kohl; three daughters, Dorothy Cooper, Betty Jane Kohl, and Judith Fay Kohl Exton; and five brothers, Edward, Samuel, Robert, Hiram "Jay," and Max Harbaugh. Survived by a daughter, Dee and husband, Leonard Antoniak, of Harrison City; two brothers, Donald and Gary Harbaugh, both of Jeannette; two sisters, Alberta Filar and Florine Weightman, both of Harrison City; 13 grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the JAMES E. LINDSAY FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Harrison City, Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Bernard L. Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in the Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township. DANIEL E. PIPER Daniel E. Piper, 91, of Latrobe RD4, died Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, in UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh, due to injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born June 4, 1908, in Cook Township, a son of the late Elmer and Carrie Metzgar Piper. He was a member of Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church, past president of the Bethel Church Cemetery Association, a retired employee of Vulcan Mold and Iron Co., Latrobe, and was a timberman and farmer most of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Aukerman Piper, on March 4, 1979; four sisters, Goldie Selesky, Carrie Piper, Bertha Piper, and Minerva Piper; and a brother, Ober Piper. He is survived by a sister, Muriel Potter and her husband, Raymond F., of Latrobe RD4; and a number of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the SNYDER FUNERAL HOME INC. & CREMATORY, Route 982 South, Latrobe, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Bethel Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Nancy J. Weiss officiating. EVERYONE WILL GO DIRECTLY TO THE CHURCH. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Cook Township. Gordon O. Snyder, funeral director. JOHN E. LOBINGIER John E. Lobingier, 54, of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, Dec. 29, 1999, in the Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He was born April 2, 1945, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of Frank Lobingier Sr. of Mt. Pleasant and Madalyn Benedict Kantorik of Mt. Pleasant. He was a former steelworker, having been employed at the Duquesne Works. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in 1963 and was a member of St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. John was very active in youth sports in the Mt. Pleasant area for many years. He is survived by his loving family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Susan Sikora Lobingier, to whom he was married for 32 years on Dec. 8; two sons, John Lobingier at home and Christopher Lobingier at home; three brothers, Frank Lobingier Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, David Lobingier and his wife, Maureen, of Mt. Pleasant and Peter Lobingier and his wife, Ellie, of Rockwood; his maternal grandmother, Pearl Benedict of Mt. Pleasant; and three nephews, Dave and Doug Lobingier of Mt. Pleasant and Steven Sikora of Sumter, S.C. Friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mt. Pleasant, Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X R.C. Church, Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Michael Matusak as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Pius X Cemetery. A parish wake service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. DEREK S. GOPPELT Derek S. Goppelt, 30, of Murrysville, died suddenly Saturday, Jan. 1, 2000, at his home. He was born April 27, 1969, in Lawton, Okla., the son of Richard E. and Donna R. Senor Goppelt of Canton, Ga. Also survived by a sister, Wendy B. Goppelt of Woodstock, Ga.; and his grandmother, Dorothy C. Senor of Murrysville. Friends will be received at the EDWIN N. WOLFE FUNERAL HOME INC., Export, Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., where services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. T. Ewen Holmes officiating. Interment private. LORRAINE H. GUZENSKY Lorraine H. Guzensky, 78, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, in Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. She was born Aug. 30, 1921, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Jonathan and Rose Hribal Rodgers. She was a graduate of Hurst High School. She is survived by two sisters, Goldie Jaram of Mt. Pleasant and Linda Gonta of Greensburg. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Guzensky; three brothers, Sylvester, Robert and William Rodgers; and two sisters, Edna Shewmake and Evelyn Hause. Friends will be received in the EUGENE G. SALOOM FUNERAL HOME INC., Main Street, Mt. Pleasant, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor John LaVale officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. MARY BISIGNANI Mary Bisignani, 92, formerly of Greensburg, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, in the Baldock Health Care Centre, North Huntingdon Township. She was born Dec. 6, 1907, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Dominic and Antoinette Teti DeMarino. She was a member of the Church of St. Paul, Greensburg, and the Beatrice Cenci Council #11. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Bisignani, in 1988; two brothers, Daniel and Thomas DeMarino; and a sister, Rose DeMarino. She is survived by two sons, Adrian C. and his wife, Sondra Bisignani, of Pleasant Hills and Eugene R. and his wife, Mary Kay Bisignani, of Irwin; six grandchildren, Michele Bisignani, Lisa and her husband, Steven Scott, and Michael Bisignani, all of Pittsburgh, Gina and her husband, Joseph Wells, of McMurray, and twins, Dr. Geoffrey and his wife, Kelly Bisignani, and Dr. Gregory and his wife, Audrey Bisignani, all of Greensburg; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Cambruzzi of Irwin and Anne and her husband, James Moschetti, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Irwin, 76, of North Huntingdon, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, in the Baldock Health Care Centre, North Huntingdon. She was born April 18, 1923, in Herminie, a daughter of the late Joseph and Hazel Painter Yates. Prior to retirement in 1984, she was employed as the cafeteria manager for the Norwin School District with 32 years of service. She was a member of the Circleville United Methodist Church, AARP 3221 and PASR. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Joseph Yates; and two sisters, Pauline Yench and Peggy Yerk. She is survived by her husband, George Irwin; two daughters, Rhonda Gumbert of North Huntingdon and Jeryl Jacobs of Irwin; four brothers, Calvin Yates of Irwin, Kenneth Yates of Jeannette, Richard Yates of Irwin, and Robert Yates of Belleview, Fla.; six sisters, Geraldine Loughner of North Huntingdon, Hazel Davis of Belleview, Fla., Gracie Rodrigues and Connie Guillery, both of Orange, Texas, and Oletha Salopek and Jo Ann Gagorik, both of North Huntingdon; three grandchildren, Donna Calderone, and Ryan and Roni Gumbert; and a great-grandchild, Matthew Gumbert. BRAGOVICH KOYNOK Mary M. Bragovich Koynok, 81, of New Alexandria, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born May 27, 1918, in New Alexandria, the daughter of the late Michael and Ann Ilarovic Bragovich. She was a housewife and a member of St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church of Crabtree, where she belonged to Fellowship and the Altar and Rosary Society. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, George and Joseph. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John P. Koynok; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington streets, New Alexandria. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Catholic Church in Crabtree with the Rev. Father Augustine Flood, O.S.B., as celebrant. Interment will follow in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Unity Township. MARY R. MINESKY Mary R. Minesky, 60, of Vandergrift, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, in UPMC Shadyside. Born April 5, 1939, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Ruth Miller Callen Ruffner and the late Howard Callen, and had lived in Vandergrift most of her life. She was employed as a cashier at the Ross Grant Avenue Pharmacy in Vandergrift for 12 years. She was a member of the Vandergrift VFW women's dart league and enjoyed fly fishing with her husband and sons. Mrs. Minesky was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Vandergrift. She was the devoted wife of Ronald S. Minesky for 44 years; loving mother and mother-in-law of James J. and Paula Minesky of State College, Pa., David J. and Pam Minesky of Cranberry Township and Mrs. William (Monica) Holodnik of Penn Hills; and two grandchildren, Andrew and Tressa Holodnik. Additionally, she is survived by her mother, Ruth Ruffner, and a brother, Charles Callen, both of Parks Township. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Louise; a sister, Roberta Bacus; and stepfathers, John Williams and James Ruffner. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the DUNMIRE-KERR FUNERAL HOME, A Golden Rule Member, 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10 a.m. with Father Thaddeus Rettger as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Three Rivers Hospice. CHARLES H. WISSINGER Charles H. Wissinger, 77, of Bell Township, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000, in IHS at Mountain View, Unity Township. Born May 18, 1922, in Rayne Township, Indiana County, he was a son of the late Ezekel and Myrtle Palmer Wissinger. He lived in Bell Township all of his life. Prior to his retirement in 1987, he had been employed by Lincoln Fabricators in Penn Hills. He was a member of St. Sylvester Roman Catholic Church, Slickville. An avid camper, he was a member of the Good Sam Lucky 13 and Hobo Campers Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Grace Galo Wissinger; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Carol A.) Skowronek of Bell Township; three grandchildren, Michelle Perfetta, Collette Hankey and Scott Skowronek; and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 100 Owens View Drive, Apollo.
