V. REGINA OSTER STEVENSON
V. Regina Oster Stevenson, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Sept. 26, 1919, in Bedford County, a daughter of the late Hugh and Florence Elliott Oster. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a transportation manager at the Mark Lines Bus Co. After retirement, she worked as a volunteer for the Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. For many years, she was an accomplished amateur bowler and also enjoyed gardening and cross-stitching. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Stevenson, in 1984; and three brothers, Alvin, Hugh and John Oster. Survived by two daughters, Cynthia Stevenson of Norvelt and Dawn Hall of Mt. Pleasant; the light of her life, her grandson, Garrett Hall of Lake Wylie, S.C.; and a sister, Reta Brown of Mt. Pleasant. Friends will be received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Kevin Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Joy Cemetery, Star Route, Mt. Pleasant. Sandra L. Hoffer, funeral director.

WAYNE L. WATSON
Wayne L. Watson, 77, of Jeannette, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 1999, in Westmoreland Manor, Hempfield Township. He was born Sept. 25, 1922, in Jeannette, a son of the late Walter and Ora May King Watson. He was previously employed by Al's Bargain Center in Jeannette. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Peterson; and three brothers, Warren, Willis and Laird Watson. He is survived by a son, Jason Watson of Jeannette; two brothers, Glenn Watson and his wife, Ann, of Greensburg and Merle Watson and his wife, Doris, of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Mark A. Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Brush Creek Cemetery, Hempfield Township.

Bertha A. (Welsh) Boeltz
Whitaker
Bertha A. (Welsh) Boeltz, 89, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001. Wife of the late Walter F. Boeltz. Survived by a daughter, Jean (Elmer) Hook of Whitaker, and a granddaughter, Linda Hook. Friends may call Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the GEORGE IRVIN GREEN FUNERAL HOME INC., A Golden Rule Member Firm, 3511 Main St., Munhall, where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Karen Prescott officiating. Memorial donations may be sent to Whitaker United Methodist Church, 124 Arkansas Avenue, Whitaker, PA 15120.

Boris Bohonis
Delmont
Boris Bohonis, 81, of Delmont, Salem Township, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, in his home. He was born Jan. 16, 1920, in Salemville, a son of the late Michael and Rose Starenchak Bohonis. Prior to retirement, Mr. Bohonis had been employed for 35 years at Davison Sand & Gravel Company. He was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle parish in Delmont, where he served as an usher, a sexton for 25 years and as a loyal volunteer whenever needed. He served in the 77th Infantry Division of the U.S. Army in World War II, earning a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred C. Ashbaugh Bohonis; a son, James A. Bohonis; and a brother, John Bohonis. He is survived by five sons, John A. Cicone and his wife Bonnie of New Alexandria, Vincent G. Cicone and his wife Pam of Jacksonville, Fla., Michael J. Bohonis Jr. and his wife Betty of Greensburg, Boris M. Bohonis and Joseph E. Bohonis, both of Delmont; two daughters, Sarah A. Nelis and her husband Gary of Whitehall, and Linda M. Bohonis of Delmont; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three siblings, Merle Bohonis and his wife Mary of New Alexandria, Sonia Luciow of Slickville and Mary McGee of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bohonis' family will receive friends in the BASH-NIED FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont, 724-468-8381, Thursday and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. William C. McGuirk in St. John Baptist de la Salle Church, Delmont, Saturday at 10:30 a.m. A chapel committal service will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.

Mary G. Kim, age 59, on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001. Beloved sister of Paul F. Whalen, George E. Whalen, Margaret A. Dougherty and Rita Ryan. Also survived by two nephews. Visitation Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SOXMAN FUNERAL HOMES LTD./ROTH CHAPEL, 7450 Saltsburg Road (at Universal Road), Penn Hills, where a Blessing Service will be Friday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Helen M. Klazer, age 86, on Monday, Nov. 26, 2001. Mrs. Klazer was a retired employee of Westinghouse Electric, E. Pittsburgh Plant. Sister of John of North Braddock, Mildred Sonita of Beaver, Jenny Lifshin of Broomall, Pa., Irene Laine of New Jersey, Dorothy Bober of Monroeville, and the late Edward and Jimmy. Harold "Bunk" E. Korn
Middlesex Township, Valencia
Harold E. "Bunk" Korn, 74, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, in his home. Born Feb. 7, 1927, in Fairview Twp., Butler County, he was the son of the late Warren and Jennie (Rankin) Korn. Beloved husband for 29 years of Dee (Patten) Korn. Dear father of Michael Korn of Butler, Thomas Korn of North East, Melissa Nelson of Mars, Jennie Korn of Butler, Galen McManus of Gibsonia and David McManus of Butler. Also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents and former wife, Rita Korn, he was preceded in death by two half brothers, Jim and Jack Hindman, and two sisters, Genevieve Michael and Eleanor Duesphol. Friends received Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, where services will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Cope of Mars Alliance Church officiating. Interment in Bear Creek Cemetery in Petrolia. Mr. Korn was a member of the American Legion Butler Post 117, Mars VFW Memorial Association and Saxonburg Fire Co. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, and retired from Koppers Co. in Monroeville and Butler Auto Auction in Cranberry.

Michael R. Luckage
Norvelt
Michael R. Luckage, 78, of Norvelt, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. Born in Forbes Road, Pa., Sept. 25, 1923, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna Kalata Luckage. He belonged to St. Florian Catholic Church, United. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Brown Boveri in South Greensburg, and was a professional house painter. He was a life member of the Norvelt Volunteer Fire Department, a charter member of AMVETS Post 94 of United and a member of VFW Post 3368 in Mt. Pleasant. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was inducted into the Marines on July 28, 1942, at age 17. He received his basic training at Parris Island, S.C., and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C. He shipped to Hawaii from Newport News, Va., and joined the 4th Division on Maui Island. His tour of duty included Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. Mike was wounded by shrapnel and received a Purple Heart. He ended his career with the Marines on Nov. 7, 1945. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Kissell Luckage, in 1992; a son, Michael, in 1986; and two sisters, Margaret "Peggy" Grega and Helen Wisnewski. He was the loving father of Judi Luckage of Youngstown, Pa., Mary Jane Sherbondy and husband, Billy R., of Norvelt, Carol Miscovich and husband, Tom, of Norvelt, Susan Poklembo and husband, Steve, of Mutual and Lori Harr and husband, Mark, of Mt. Pleasant; loving brother of Pauline Christie of Somerset and Mary Jane Kissell of Calumet; and loving grandfather of Yvonne Cook, Patty Ennis, Julie O'Hare, Billy Sherbondy, Michael Sherbondy and Nick Mizikar. Also surviving are eight great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the JAY A. HOFFER FUNERAL HOME, Norvelt, Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Blessing service will be held in the funeral home at 9:20 a.m. Friday, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Florian Catholic Church with the Rev. John M. Foriska as celebrant. Wake service will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment in St. Florian Cemetery. Military services will be accorded by Armbrust Veterans and AMVETS Post 94. Sandra L. Hoffer, funeral director.

Emanuel E. MacCosbe

Emanuel E. MacCosbe, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, in Vincentian-Regency Hall Nursing Home. He was born June 7, 1913, in Pittsburgh, son of Louis and Henrietta MacCosbe. Mr. MacCosbe was a retired electrical engineer and retired lieutenant colonel, having served in the U.S. Army where he was awarded the Legion of Merit. Survived by his wife, Dorothy MacCosbe; four daughters, Elaine Reppel, Diane Hrach, Alice DeStefino and Carol Howell; two sons, Paul MacCosbe and George MacCosbe; one sister, Henrietta Cassidy. Also survived by 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the BOCK FUNERAL HOME LTD., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Boniface Church of Holy Wisdom Parish at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Kenneth E. Myers as celebrant. Interment in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw.

Richard F. Malter
Pittsburgh
Richard F. Malter, 74, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, in his home. Born in Pittsburgh, Oct. 6, 1927, son of Frank and Lorena Foresha Malter. Mr. Malter worked as a bottler for Pittsburgh Brewing Co. He was a Navy veteran, serving during World War II. Surviving are his loving son, Richard F. Malter Jr. and his wife Marilyn A. Malter; one sister, Delores Barnes; two grandchildren, Jason and Laurie Malter; also nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Ruth Mangel Malter. Private graveside services will be Friday in Allegheny Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Lutz officiating. Arrangements are under the care of SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway, Ross.
