Garret; fiance of Denise "Dee" Totterdale; uncle of Debbie, Missy and Holly Keller. He was preceded in death by brothers, Richard and Dean Keller; and grandparents, Glenn and Ruth Gilmore, and Edward and Margaret Keller. Friends received in the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., 201 Marguerite Ave., Wilmerding, Thursday 7 to 9 p.m., Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Boulevard, Suite 700, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.

Virginia M. (Gullett) Kerr

Virginia M. (Gullett) Kerr, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, after a long illness. She is survived by her sons, Matt and Christopher and his fiancee Jennifer McKinney; and her sisters, Mrs. James (Ruth Ann) Lee, Mrs. Donald (Eileen) Aubrey and Mrs. Peter (Lorrie) Kleer. She has many nieces and nephews, as well as several great-nieces and -nephews. She is also survived by her dear friend, Rich Sibert. Friends received in the WALTER J. ZALEWSKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 216-44th St., Lawrenceville, Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass Saturday with Guardian Angels Parish, St. Martin Church at 9:30 a.m. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made in Virginia's name to the charity of one's choice or for Masses to be offered in Virginia's name at the church of one's choice.

Harold E. 'Bunk' Korn

Harold E. "Bunk" Korn, 74, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, in his home. Born Feb. 7, 1927, in Fairview Twp., Butler County, he was the son of the late Warren and Jennie (Rankin) Korn. Beloved husband for 29 years of Dee (Patten) Korn. Dear father of Michael Korn of Butler, Thomas Korn of North East, Melissa Nelson of Mars, Jennie Korn of Butler, Galen McManus of Gibsonia and David McManus of Butler. Also survived by nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents and former wife, Rita Korn, he was preceded in death by two half brothers, Jim and Jack Hindman, and two sisters, Genevieve Michael and Eleanor Duesphol. Friends received Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SCHELLHAAS FUNERAL HOME LTD., 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown, where services will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Cope of Mars Alliance Church officiating. Interment in Bear Creek Cemetery in Petrolia. Mr. Korn was a member of the American Legion Butler Post 117, Mars VFW Memorial Association and Saxonburg Fire Co. He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran, and retired from Koppers Co. in Monroeville and Butler Auto Auction in Cranberry.

Emanuel E. MacCosbe

Emanuel E. MacCosbe, 88, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, in Vincentian-Regency Hall Nursing Home. He was born June 7, 1913, in Pittsburgh, son of Louis and Henrietta MacCosbe. Mr. MacCosbe was a retired electrical engineer and retired lieutenant colonel, having served in the U.S. Army where he was awarded the Legion of Merit. Survived by his wife, Dorothy MacCosbe; four daughters, Elaine Reppel, Diane Hrach, Alice DeStefino and Carol Howell; two sons, Paul MacCosbe and George MacCosbe; one sister, Henrietta Cassidy. Also survived by 12 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the BOCK FUNERAL HOME LTD., 1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Boniface Church of Holy Wisdom Parish at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Kenneth E. Myers as celebrant. Interment in Mt. Royal Cemetery, Glenshaw.

Richard F. Malter

Richard F. Malter, 74, died Monday, Nov. 26, 2001, in his home. Born in Pittsburgh, Oct. 6, 1927, son of Frank and Lorena Foresha Malter. Mr. Malter worked as a bottler for Pittsburgh Brewing Co. He was a Navy veteran, serving during World War II. Surviving are his loving son, Richard F. Malter Jr. and his wife Marilyn A. Malter; one sister, Delores Barnes; two grandchildren, Jason and Laurie Malter; also nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his wife, Ruth Mangel Malter. Private graveside services will be Friday in Allegheny Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Lutz officiating. Arrangements are under the care of SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway, Ross.

Daniel R. McConnell

Daniel R. McConnell, 17, of Franklin Park, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001, in his home. Born in St. Louis, Mo., Oct. 15, 1984, he was a son of Gary D. and Sandra Odum McConnell. Brother of Kelly McConnell and Jason McConnell. Grandson of Howard and Norma McConnell of Leonard, Mo. Nephew of Carol and Bill Taylor of Carbondale, Ill. He is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles. Friends received Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the SIMONS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 7720 Perry Highway, Ross. Services will be in the chapel of the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Hiland Cemetery. Merillat and her husband Jason of Media, Pa., and John A. Porac of Emsworth; his mother, Cecelia Porac of Windgap; a sister, Joan M. Crane and her husband John of Kennedy Twp.; grandchildren, Robert M. and Katherine E. Merillat; and an aunt, Elizabeth Kratovil of Robinson Twp. An accountant by profession, Mr. Porac was a 1964 graduate of Duquesne University. From 1964-66, he served with the U.S. Navy. Mike (Mile) Rakich, age 87, on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001. Son of the late Sava and Bozo Rakich. Preceded in death by a sister, Boja Lichina, and brothers, Nick and Pete Karan. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rakich was a World War II veteran and was employed as a coal miner for many years. Memorial Mass will be in Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, Valencia, Saturday at 10 a.m. Funeral arrangements by the HERBERT R. KING, JR. FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2841 Woodland Circle, Allison Park (Hampton Twp.).
