MARY A. PETERS
Mary A. Peters, 92, of Level Green, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at the St. Margaret Seneca Place, Penn Hills. She was born March 19, 1907, in Swinford, County Mayo, Ireland, the daughter of the late John and Bridget Ward. She was a member of St. Susanna Church in Penn Hills. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roland A. Peters, in 1989. She is survived by two sons, Frank Peters of Level Green and James Peters of Diamond Bar, Calif.; a brother, Thomas Ward of Ireland; and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME, 429 Duquesne Ave., Trafford, Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Regis Church, Trafford, with the Rev. James D. Tringhese as celebrant. Burial will be Wednesday in the St. Michael Cemetery, Palatine, Ill.

BEVERLY A. RANKIN
Beverly A. Rankin, 71, of Greensburg, formerly of the McKeesport area, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, in the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. She was born March 28, 1928, in Johnstown, the daughter of the late J.R. Harvey and Mildred Harvey Dollar. She was a retired registered nurse and former employee of McKeesport Hospital. She was a member of the McKeesport Nurses Alumni Association, the O.E.S. of White Oak, and the White Shrine. She had been a graduate of the McKeesport School of Nursing Class of 1950. She is survived by her husband, Charles W. "Bill" Rankin; two sons, Patrick S. and his wife, Jill A. Rankin, of Elizabeth Township, and T. Brent and his wife, Lori Rankin, of Smithton; a brother, R.J. Harvey of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a grandson, Patrick Rankin. Family and friends were received at the KEPPLE-GRAFT FUNERAL HOME INC., 524 N. Main St., Greensburg, Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Dean A. Davidson officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillview Cemetery.

FRANK J. SABATINE
Frank J. "Pie" Sabatine, 87, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at his home. He was born July 15, 1912, in Greensburg, a son of the late John and Addolorato Germano Sabatine. Prior to retirement, he had been the owner and operator of Sabatine's Tire Mart. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg; a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II, serving as an airplane mechanic; a member of the Hilltop Social Club; Hilltop Bowling League; the Monday Senior Citizens Bowling League; and a former member of the AMVETS Post #88, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, infant Frank, James, Anthony "Gabe, " Thomas, and August Sabatine; and a sister, Mary Ann Sabatino. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Florence M. Damico Sabatine; and his children, Joan and her husband, Joseph Zahorchak, of Greensburg, Frank J. and his wife, Elizabeth Sabatine, of Muncie, Ind., Natalie Sabatine of Pittsburgh, and Richard P. and his wife, Janice Sabatine, of Cranberry Township; seven grandchildren, Mark and his wife, Jessica Zahorchak, Michael Zahorchak, Catherine Sabatine, Julia Sabatine, Teresa Sabatine, Vincent Sabatine, and Elaina Sabatine; two brothers, Mike and his wife, Ginger Sabatine, of Auburn, Wash., and Joseph "Jots" and his wife, Antoinette Sabatine, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 516 Stanton at Green streets, Greensburg, Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg. Interment with military honors provided by the VFW Post #33 Honor Guard will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township. Family suggests memorial contributions to Our Lady of Grace Building Fund, 1001 Mt. Pleasant Road, Greensburg, PA 15601, or the Westmoreland Hospice, 532 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601.

LEONARD C. SABATINE
Leonard C. Sabatine, 87, of Greensburg, died Monday, Nov. 15, 1999, in Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Aug. 20, 1912, in Sicily, Italy, a son of the late Charles and Jane Campo Sabatine. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Walworth Valve Co. He was also a member of the A.M.S. Club of South Greensburg, the A&B Club of Youngwood, Knights of Columbus Council 1480 and the Hilltop Social Club, where he bowled, both of Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Crimbly Sabatine; a sister, Mary Nicolai; and two brothers, Sam and Phillip Vitello. He is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Dudash and husband, Albert, of Grosse Ile, Mich.; four grandchildren, Albert J. Dudash Jr., Mary Beth Nelson, Kristen Shankster and Gregg C. Dudash; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Gertrude DeAngelo of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends were received at the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME, 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, (724) 837-0020, Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A blessing service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg. Interment will follow in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Knights of Columbus will hold services in the funeral home Sunday at 7 p.m. Natale N. Pantalone, funeral director.

ADELINE TEMPESTA
Adeline "Della" Tempesta, 91, of Latrobe, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, in IHS at Mountain View, Unity Township. She was born Sept. 22, 1908, in Baggaley, a daughter of the late Nicola and Assunta DeSance Carota. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Latrobe. She was a retired cook at the B.P.O. Elks, Latrobe, and had also worked for many years as a cook at the former Capitol Grill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cesare Tempesta; and six brothers, Arthur, Louis, Lawrence, Michael, Dominick and Julius Carota. She is survived by a brother, Enello Carota of Latrobe; two sisters, Flora Arbore and Clara Martino, both of Latrobe; and 17 nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. Services and interment are private. The JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe, is in charge of arrangements.

STEVE J. USCHAK
Steve J. Uschak, 75, of Derry, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999, in Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Loyalhanna, a son of the late Jacob and Anna Uschak. He was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, Bradenville. Prior to retirement, he had been employed by Teledyne-Vasco Co., Latrobe. He was also a member of the Greek Club, Knights of Columbus 940 and American Legion Post 515, both of Latrobe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Julian, Russell, Pete, Michael, John and Paul Uschak; and a sister, Mary Uschak. He is survived by his wife, Josephine M. Glamp Uschak; three sons, Stephen J. Uschak and his wife, Joy, of Greensburg, David F. Uschak and his wife, Stephanie, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dean R. Uschak of Somerset; a daughter, Susan M. Hook of Rockwood, Pa.; two brothers, Joseph Uschak of Loyalhanna and Nicholas Uschak of Derry RD2; two sisters, Ann Staschak and her husband, Michael, of Derry RD2 and Helen Bryan and her husband, George, of Derry RD2; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the JOHN J. LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Parastas service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Panachida service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church. Interment in St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, Derry Township. Military services will be held at 8:45 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. The Ladies Guild of St. Mary's Byzantine Church will recite the rosary at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

MONICA R. VILLAREAL
Monica R. Villareal, 76, of Latrobe, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, in Latrobe Area Hospital. She was born May 5, 1923, in San Antonio, Texas, a daughter of the late Florencio and Lucia Delgado Rangel. She was a past president of the Guadalupana Society, Cursillista, and the Charistamatic Renewal Choir. In addition to being a beloved wife and mother, she was one of the original "Rosie Riveters" at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio. She also taught the expanded nutrition program out of Texas A&M in Bear County, San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Jesus "Jesse" (Chey) Villareal; six children, Jesus "Jesse" Villareal Jr. and his wife, Karen, of San Antonio, Minerva Anna "Myn" Weiss and her husband, Michael, of Latrobe, Sylvia Villareal of San Antonio, Ramona P.V. Price of Latrobe, Marie Cecilia Villareal DeLaRosa and her husband, Edward, of San Antonio, and Joel Patric Villareal of Latrobe; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ramona Ramos and Elisa Gonzales, both of San Antonio. Visitation Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the FREDERICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1543 Ligonier St., Latrobe. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Basilica. Interment Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

NANCY GATES ZELLO
Nancy Gates Zello, 58, of Greensburg, died Friday, Nov. 19, 1999. She was born Nov. 12, 1941, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Paul E. and Sarah "Charlotte" Hellein Gates. Nancy was employed at the Burger King on Route 30 east of Greensburg and had been a former member of the Harrold Zion's Lutheran Church of Greensburg. She is survived by a son, Gary Humphrey of Vandergrift; two daughters, Lisa Humphrey of Leechburg and Karen R. Fine and her husband, Matt, of Greensburg RD1; 10 grandchildren; a brother, William D. Gates and his wife, Doris, of Greensburg RD1; a sister, Mrs. Connie Bender of Greensburg RD1; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends were received at the BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, Sunday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert A. Free officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillview Cemetery.

DELFINO P. CALVO
Delfino P. Calvo, 77, of Latrobe, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, in the Latrobe Area Hospital. He was born Aug. 13, 1922, in New Derry, a son of the late Guiseppi and Merchiolina (Calvo) Calvo. Prior to his retirement in 1986, he was a teacher of instrumental music at the Derry Area High School, where he had over 42 years of service. He was also a member and chief negotiator for the Derry Area Education Association. Del was a 1939 graduate of the Indiana Area High School, and a 1941 graduate of the Ernest Williams Professional School of Music in Ithaca, N.Y. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II, and played in the Army Air Corps band stationed at Bolling Field in Washington, D.C. This band played at all State Department and related national functions. After being discharged from the service, he received his bachelor's degree in music from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and his Master's of Music Education from Duquesne University. He was a member of the Latrobe Presbyterian Church, the church chancel choir, the Willing Workers of the church, and, along with his wife, delivered Meals on Wheels. Del was a member of the Greensburg Musical Society Local 339, and played in the Del Mar Quintet Dance Band. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise (Krisak) Calvo, in 1983; and a brother, Raymond Calvo. He is survived by his wife, Susannah M. (Jones) Calvo, whom he married in 1984; two children, Deleen L. DeMary and her husband, Don, of Norvelt and Daniel J. Calvo and his wife, Mary Ann, of Hopkinton, Mass.; his stepmother, Alda (Psenda) Calvo of Corteranzo, Province of Alessandria, Italy; four grandchildren, Michael Nicol and his wife, Katherine, Brock Smith, Tim Smith and Colleen Calvo; two sisters, Mary Costanzo and her husband, Luigi, of Milan, Italy, and Sylvia Paracca and her husband, Pierangelo, of Valdellatorre, Province of Torino, Italy; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the HARTMAN-GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 1500 Ligonier St., Latrobe, from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be held at noon Friday in Unity Chapel, Unity Township, with the Rev. Dr. David B. Batchelder officiating. Interment will follow in Unity Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delfino P. Calvo Memorial Music Fund, in care of Derry Area High School, 982 Chestnut St. Extension, Derry PA 15627.

ELLA MAE VICTORIA CURRY
Ella Mae Victoria Curry, 77, of Jeannette, Penn Township, died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1999, at her residence. She was born Feb. 15, 1922, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Ralph and Margaret Lyons Voiret. She was a member of the Westmoreland County Democratic Club and the Penn Township Democratic Club. She was a local committee person for the local Democratic party and a member of the Manor VFW Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, in 1987. Survived by a daughter, Bonnie Curry of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Margaret Koski of Jeannette; a brother, Ralph Edwin Voiret of Flagler Beach, Fla.; a son-in-law, William Langelius of Long Beach, Long Island, N.Y.; a niece, Susan Bosko of Cleveland, Ohio; and many other nephews of Florida. There will be no visitation. Memorial service will be held Friday, Nov. 5, at 11 a.m. at the family home in Jeannette. Memorial contributions may made to the Westmoreland Hospice, 501 W. Otterman St., Greensburg. Arrangements by the ROBERT B. DAVIS II FUNERAL HOME, Greensburg.
