Polacek, John P., 86, of Bayberry Commons, Pascoag, R.I., died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, R.I. He was husband of the late Elizabeth C. (Jones) Polacek. He worked as a Custodian at Zambarano Memorial Hospital in Pascoag 10 years retiring in 1983. Before that he was a helecopter mechanic at the former Quansett Naval Air Station for 20 years and also worked in the former Andrews Worsted Mill and the former Burrillville Racing Association, both in Pascoag, many years ago. Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 383 in Pascoag and was a former member of the American Legion in Harrisville. He was a WWII Army veteran. Lived in the Pascoag and Harrisville sections of Burrillville most of his life.
He was born 6/18/1916 in Mapleville son of the late Andrew and Mary (Manyak) Polacek.

Plouffe, Holly May, 31, of Chapel Street Harrisville, RI
died on Friday, December 27, 2002 at U - Mass Medical Center in Worcester, MA following a 1 year illness.
She was born on Sunday, June 27, 1971, in Woonsocket, RI
Daughter of George N. Plouffe of Chepachet, RI and
Barbara M. (Decourcy) Plouffe of Harrisville, R.I.
She was a Certified Nurses Aid for the Blackstone Nursing Home for two years retiring in October, 2001, due to illness. Before that she worked in the same capacity for the Overlook Nursing Home in Pascoag for ten years. She was a lifelong Burrillville resident.
She was a member and secretary of the Blackstone Lions Club.

Carl G. Neyman, 101 ,of Joslin Road, Glendale, RI
died on April 4, 2003
Died at Overlook Nursing Home in Pascoag, RI
Husband of the late Ethel M. (Harris) Neyman
He was born on September 5, 1901, in Woonsocket, RI
Son of the late Charles and Freda (O'Berg) Neyman
He was superintendent of the former Wanskuck Mills in Oakland, for many years, retiring in 1958. He lived most of his life in Burrillville. He graduated from the RI School of Design in 1921. He was a member of the Granite Lodge of Mason's in Harrisville. He was also a member of the Burrillville United Methodist Church.
He is survived by,

Daughter - Janice N. Powell of Lancaster, Mass.

Richard J. Mulcahy, 62 ,of Orlando Boulevard, Port Charlotte, FL
died on Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at Decedent's Residence in Port Charlotte, FL.
Husband of Marie (Lass) Mulcahy.
He was born on May 23, 1940, in Woonsocket, RI
Son of the late James and Aurore (Dubois) Mulcahy.
He was a pharmacist for the Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro MA., for 15 years retiring in 1998. He also worked as a pharmacist for former local area drug stores. He was a resident of Florida for the last 3 1/2 years, previously living in North Smithfield for 25 years. He was an avid traveler.

Florence M. (Ethier) Minutelli, 84, formerly of Ashton Court, Harrisville, RI
died Saturday, February 22, 2003 at Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI.
Wife of the late Joseph A. Minutelli.
She was born on June 14, 1918, in Slatersville, RI
daughter of the late Victor and Diana (Lefebvre) Ethier.
She was a spinner in the former Uxbridge Worcested Mill in Pascoag for 26 years retiring in 1985.
She lived in Burrillville most of her life. She was a member of the Ashton Court Club and the Burrillville Senior Citizens.
Survivors include,
Daughter - Jean (Minutelli) Hoppe of Pascoag, R.I.
She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 2 great - grandsons.

McGuill, Edward H.
McGuill, Edward H., 71, of Mt. Pleasant Road, Nasonville, died Friday, January 3, 2003, at Philip - Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center in Providence, R.I. He was husband of Mary (Johnson) McGuill.
He worked in quality control at the Turex Company in Nasonville 19 years retiring in 1991. He lived in Burrillville most of his life.. He Served in the Air Force during Korean War.
He was the son of the late Hugh and Mary (Sweeney) McGuill.
He is also survived by;

McGrane, John "Bill" W., 77 ,of Round Top Rd. Harrisville, RI formerly of Broncos Hwy. Glendale
died on Wednesday, January 29, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital, Fatima Unit in North Providence, RI.
Husband of Maureen M. (Byrne) McGrane
He was born on June 13, 1925, in Woonsocket RI,
Son of the late John and Magaret E. (Monk) McGrane.
He worked for the former Valliere's Oil Co. in Harrisville for 23 years as a service and delivery man, retiring in 1988. He also was a farmer in Glendale for many years. He was a lifelong Burrillville resident. He was a field clerk for the Burrillville Tax Assessor's office for several years. He was a WW11Army Air Corps. veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Berard Desjarlais Post # 88 for over 50 years. A member of the Burrillville Democratic Town Committee for many years, and a Trustee of St. Patrick's Parish.

Michael Alexander Makowsk
Michael Alexander Makowski, 108 , resident of Pine Grove Nursing Home, Pascoag, formerly of Stone Barn Rd in Pascoag, RI
died on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at St. Joseph Hospital, Fatima Unit in North Providence, RI.
Husband of the late Stella A. (Kacinski) Makowski
He was born on December 5, 1894, in Warmslaw Poland,
He was the son of the late Walnety and Anna (Konopka)
He worked for the former Haywood Woolen Co. in East Douglas, as a wet finisher for 15 years, retiring in 1958. He was a resident of E. Wallum Lake Rd. in Pascoag for 72 years. He moved to the United States in Oct. 22, 1912. He was a clam digger until the age of 92 years old. He was the oldest man in RI. In May of 2000 he was seated at the head table along with former Gov. Lincoln Almond at a tribute to RI.'s Centenarians. He was presented with a proclamation from former Gov. Lincoln Almond on his 106th birthday.

died on Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence, RI.
Husband of (Rosales)Lopez, Maria and the Late (Rodriguez) Lopez, Otila
He was born on August 1, 1930, in Eagle Pass, TX
Son of the late Victor M. and Delia (Gonzalez) Lopez.
He worked for Lundell Aqua Metrics. in East Providence as a field technician 1970, retiring in 1995. He also worked for the Noblement Refining Co., in Mapleville as a plant manager and also worked for in the same capacity for the Enviromet Corporation in E. Providence. He has been a resident of Providence for the last 2 years, previously living 1 year in the Cape Cod area, before that living on Church St. in Pascoag from 1972 to 1998. He was a former member of the VFW in Pascoag. He was a Korean Era Veteran. Mr. Lopez was assistant secretary and Mexico representative of the Hispanic American Heritage Subcommittee of the Rhode Island Heritage Commission.. He was given the green light by former Gov. Edward D. DiPrete to organize a disaster fund to aid the victims of the Mexican earthquake disaster and their famalies. He was stated that my strong sense of ethnic heritage haas brought me has brought me close to these unfortunate people. Plans were to take up collections at malls, supermarkets and other areas where permission was given.Also he organized a International festival where collection of medicines, food, and non perishables, wine and cheese parties, drawings and other fund raising activitiesMr. Lopez and the Heritage Committee had opened a special relief fund. Collection stations had been set up in the western section of the state.

Deborah Carolyn (Paul) Leduc, 58, of Old River Road, Manville, RI
died on Sunday, January 26, 2003 after a brief illness at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI.
She was born on July 6, 1944, in Woonsocket, RI
Daughter of the late Joseph A. and Eugenia D. (Lamb) Paul
She was working for St. Germain's Warehouse Company in Woonsocket, as an office clerk, since 1995. She lived the last 2 years in Manville, previously in North Smithfield, where she lived for many years. A descendant of Myles Standish, she was seargent - at - arms for the Enrico Caruso Club in Manville and a member of St. Joseph's Veterans' Association Pitch League in the Oak Grove section of Woonsocket. An avid golfer, she belonged to Melody Hill Country Club in Harmony, where last summer she won the league championship in her age group.
