Dingle, Mrs. Deloris S. Broughton, all of St. Stephen, S.C., Mr. Alphonza Judge, Mr. Barry Singleton, Mr. Ken Berry Singleton, all of Bronx, N.Y., Mrs. Doris S. Myers and Mr. Marlon Singleton, both of Pineville, S.C., the beloved brother of Mrs. Evelyn S. Judge of Pineville, S.C.

The last religious rites Mrs. Lorraine Gordon Thomas will be held, Tuesday, July 22, 2002, 3:00 PM at Albert A. Glover Funeral Home, Chapel. Interment Hillcrest cemetery. Her children, Constance Julian, Andrea Manigault, Andrew Manigault and Antoinette Navalta; her sisters, Gladys Varner and Leanna Gordon; her brothers, William Gordon, Edward Gordon and Alfred Gordon; request her grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to attend with them these last rites. CROSBY, Max
Max L. Crosby, age 77, of Hanahan, died Saturday, July 20, 2002, at a local hospital after an extended illness.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2002, 11 a.m., at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 22, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., North Charleston.
Born in Ruffin, he was a son of the late Emlom and Beatrice Ulmer Crosby. Mr. Crosby was a Navy veteran of World War II, and was retired from Southern Shipping. He was a member of Tabor Methodist Church in Walterboro and was a lifetime member of Elks Lodge #242.
Surviving are two sons, Richard L. Crosby and wife Kay of Ruffin, Robert M. Crosby and wife Terry of Walterboro; one sister, Essie Mae Padgett of Walterboro and three grandchildren, Brittany Crosby, Kristina Crosby and Kendra Crosby.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 267 Calhoun St., Charleston, S.C. 29401.
CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.

WILLIS, SR., Arthur
Arthur David Willis, Sr., 51, of Summerville, husband of Cynthia Anne Cochrane Willis died Sunday morning in a North Charleston hospital.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2002, in St. Paul's Episcopal Church cemetery, Summerville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Frances R. Willis S.P.C.A., Four Paws Lane, Summerville, S.C. 29484.
Mr. Willis was born on December 9, 1950, in Summerville, a son of the late Ernest Linwood Willis, Jr., and Frances T. Romano Willis. Mr. Willis was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He was the former President and CEO of Southeastern Steel Corporation, Charleston and founder and President of Southeastern Construction and Southeastern Property Management. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Summerville.
Surviving are, his wife of Summerville, sons, Arthur David Willis, Jr., and James William Willis of Summerville; daughter, Caroline Lacey Willis of Summerville; sister, Mary Elizabeth Phillips of Cincinnati, Ohio.
