BROWN, Willie
The relatives and friends of Mr. Willie Brown; those of his parents, the late Mrs. Lula Bell and Mr. Leslie Brown Sr.; wife, Mrs. Annie Brown; daughter, Theresa Brown; brothers and sisters: Tony Brown (Odessa), James Caulder, Mary Duncan (Bill), and Helen B. Singleton (Ben); cousins: Willie Robertson and Raymond Brown; friends, nieces, nephews and other cousins are invited to attend his funeral service at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at Bethel Baptist Church, Hwy. 162, Hollywood, SC. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church cemetery. SMATHERS, Donald
Entered into eternal rest on Saturday evening, June 22, 2002, Donald LeRoy Smathers, widower of Eileen L. Morrison Smathers. Residence, North Charleston, South Carolina.
The relatives and friends of Donald LeRoy Smathers are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Bernadette's Catholic Church, Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at ten o'clock and where The Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be held in St. Agetha Catholic Church cemetery, with military honors both in Meadville, Pennsylvania. The Rosary will be recited at Byham-Miller-Mizner Funeral Home, 404 Chestnut St., Meadville, PA, Tuesday evening at seven o'clock where the family will receive visitors until nine o'clock. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, PO Box 80459, Charleston, SC 29416.
Mr. Smathers was born on October 21, 1925 in Venus, PA, a son of the late William Reed Smathers and Sarah Luella Smith Smathers. After graduating fron high school, Mr. Smathers served in the United States Navy during World War II. Along with his devoted wife, Mr. and Mrs. Smathers served as corporate officers of their company, Smathers Pipeline Construction Company in Meadville, PA. Mr. Smathers had attended Immaculate Conception Church in Goose Creek, and was active in bowling teams in the North Charleston area, and found much enjoyment in investing and reading many business journals.
Surviving are his children: Stephen Edward Smathers of Charlotte, NC, William Reed Smathers of Meadville, PA, Donna Sue S. Laepple of Dayton, OH, Susan Smathers of Atlanta, GA, Marianne S. Pugar of Dayton, OH, and Jeanette S. Osborne of Cambridge Springs, PA; two brothers: Russell Smathers of Boston, MA, Kenneth Smathers of Buffalo, NY; a sister: Barbara S. Reed of Knox, PA; and 19 grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Smathers were predeceased by a son, David G. Smathers of Meadville, PA.

PRAUSE, Leopold
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 24, 2002, Leopold A. Prause, Jr., Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services, Wednesday at two o'clock at the graveside in Bethany cemetery. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Tuesday between five and o'clock.
Mr. Prause, Jr. was born November 13, 1914 in Charleston, SC, the son of Leopold A. Prause and Lillian Fabian Prause. He was retired from the City of Charleston in Ground Maintenance. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by one sister: Erline P. Waltz of Charleston, SC; 2 nephews: William L. Waltz and Frank H. Rodeniser, III; one niece: Patricia W. Dorothy; and 2 grandnieces.
Memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 405 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403.

NEAL, Mark
The relatives and friends of Mark Wayne Neal are invited to attend his funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Wednesday afternoon, June 26, 2002 at Three o'clock.

TISDALE, Katie
The relatives and friends of Mrs. Katie Zanders Tisdale those her children, Mrs. Carrie Barnes, and Mr. Louis Tisdale-Footman, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews are invited to attend her funeral services Wednesday, June 26, 2002, 1:00 p.m. at Keith Dominon House of God, 2050 Hampton Ave., North Charleston. FRAZIER, RICHARD
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of June 23, 2002, in Bronx, N.Y., Richard Leo Frazier (Bro), the beloved son of the late Joseph N. Frasier Sr., and Adele S. Frasier of Charleston, S.C., brother of the late Joseph N. Frasier Jr. (Pep), Daralese F. McCullough of Chesapeake, Va., Margie Frasier of Charleston, S.C. and Hercules (Mack) Frasier of New Jersey. Funeral services will be held in New York City at a later date. Arrangements by UNITY FUNERAL HOME OF NEW YORK CITY.

Zeiger, Ovie
A memorial service for Ovie Carol Rourk Zeiger will be held 5 PM Wednesday, June 26, at The Canterbury House, 165 Market St. The Rev. John Lantz, Chaplain, will officiate, assisted by The Rev. Harold Syfrett. Daughter of the late Luetta and Patrick Rourk, she was born April 22, 1913, and died June 2, 2002. She was predeceased by her former husband Lt. Col. Clarence L. Zeiger, and siblings Nella Murray and Frederick and Drewery Rourk. Memorials may be made to The Canterbury House.

BOWDEN, Robert

Mr. Bowden is survived by three brothers: Mr. James C. BARNHILL, Hazel
ST. MATTHEWS - Hazel McAfee Wimberly Barnhill, 92, died Saturday afternoon, June 22, 2002 at a local hospital.
Services will be held today, Monday, at 11:00 AM at St. Paul United Methodist Church, St. Matthews with Rev. Fred Davis and the Rev. Alfred Thomas Kurt Zadig officiating. Burial will be in Old St. Paul Methodist cemetery.
Pallbearers: Tatum Wannamaker Gressette, Jan Antley Smoke, Marvin Guess Wimberly, Robert Collins Wimberly, John Gressette Felder, Edward Zimmerman Wimberly, James Ansley Lowder, Claude O. Dyches and Wayne F. Christian.
Mrs. Barnhill was born in Wrightsville, Ga. A daughter of the late J.K. McAfee, Sr. and Mamie Palmer McAfee. She attended college in Georgia. She was retired from American Bank and Trust. Mrs. Barnhill was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and the Dorcas Circle of the Women's Society of Christian Service. She was a member of the Dogwood Club. She was first married to the late Lucius Kennerly Wimberly and was the widow of Robert Samuel Barnhill.
Survivors: Two daughters, Mrs. Tony Mack (Maryanne Wimberly) Martin, and Mrs. William R. (Rebecca Wimberly) Turbeville, both of St. Matthews, one son, John Barnhill of Houston, Tx., step-daughter, Patricia Barnhill Nickells, of N.J., nine grandchildren, Dr. Rebecca Shunk, Corte Maderia, Ca., William Turbeville II, St. Matthews, Elizabeth Zadig, Anne Wimberly Turbeville, and Kent Turbeville, all of Charleston, Jeffery, Matthew and Timothy Barnhill, all of Houston, Tx and Helen Nickells of N.J.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church. Friends may call at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. William R. Turbeville, 55 Partidge Ln., St. Matthews, SC.
