PENNINGTON, Darel
Darel Ballard "Uncle Buck" Pennington, 59, of Moncks Corner, husband of Jean Pennington, died Monday morning at his residence.
Graveside funeral services will be held 11 o'clock, Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at Plantation Memorial Gardens with Marine Corps Honors and Masonic Rites.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Dorchester Shrine Club, 2150 Old Beech Hill Road, Ridgeville, SC 29472 or Berkeley Shrine Club, Thornley Forest, Moncks Corner, S.C. 29461.
Mr. Pennington was born on December 31, 1942, in Pennington Gap, Virginia, the son of the late Ersa Pennington and Arnette Stewart Pennington. He attended Pennington High School in Virginia. Mr. Pennington was honored with an appointment as a Kentucky Colonel. He was a member of Omar Temple, Dorchester Lodge #369, Dorchester Shrine Club, Berkeley Shrine Club, Hillbilly Clan #82 Outhouse One, York Rite, Scottish Rite. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps having served in the Vietnam War. He was retired from J.W. Aluminum. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are, his wife of Moncks Corner; daughter, Shelia Martin and her husband Jeff Martin of Moncks Corner, son, Damon Pennington and his wife Delaina Pennington of Moncks Corner; four grandsons, Brent Pennington, Bradley Martin, Corey Martin and Kent Pennington all of Moncks Corner; two sisters, Guila Jones of Clinton, North Carolina, Von Fields of Clinton, North Carolina.

Entered into eternal rest on the evening of November 25, 2002, Doris Aultman Lutge, wife of Fred L. Lutge, Sr. Residence: Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Lutge, Sr. are invited to attend the graveside services of the latter Friday morning, November 29, 2002 in Live Oak Memorial Gardens at 11 o'clock. Friends may call at STUHR'S WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Thursday evening 6 until 8 o'clock.
Mrs. Lutge was born in Charleston, South Carolina, a daughter of Edward Aultman and Thelma Aultman. She was a Doe with the Elks Lodge #242 and a Baptist.
Surviving are her husband: Fred L. Lutge, Sr. of Charleston, SC; two sons, Fred L. Lutge, Jr. of Charleston, SC and Brian W. Lutge of South Pasedena, CA; three brothers: Dewey Aultman of Charleston, SC, Edward Aultman of Eutawville, SC and Jerry Aultman of Orangeburg, SC.

RIKARD, Nila
Entered into eternal rest on November 24, 2002, Nila Earline Monts Rikard, widow of Wilbur Earl Rikard. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, Friday afternoon, November 29, 2002 at 12 o'clock (noon). Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at STUHR'S WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Friday morning from 10 o'clock until time of the service.
Mrs. Rikard was born in Leesville, SC, April 11, 1921, the daughter of Collie J. Monts and Roan Debby Swygert Monts. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Batesburg, SC. She was a member of Woodmen of the World.
Surviving are one son, Mare M. Rikard of Charleston, SC; three daughters: Diane Hall and Debbie R. Warren, both of Birmingham, AL and Stephanie S. Yates of Lagrange, GA, fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren.
Mrs. Rikard was preceded in death by two sons, Winston Earl Rikard and R. Wayne Rikard.

WARREN, Marion
Entered into eternal rest on the evening of November 22, 2002, Marion Ruth Warren, widow of John Waldo Kay and Jefferson Williams Warren. Interment will be Wednesday afternoon in Marietta National cemetery, Marietta, Georgia at 2 o'clock.

GASKINS, Ruby
Ruby Lee Thomas Gaskins, 62, of Bethera, S.C., a former lunchroom attendant at Macedonia High School, died Monday in a North Charleston hospital.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2002, in the Cordesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment will be in Berea Untied Methodist Church cemetery, Bethera. Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. this Wednesday evening.
Mrs. Gaskins was born December 6, 1939, in Moncks Corner, S.C., a daughter of John Wright and Hallie Thomas Murphy. She was a member of Berea United Methodist Church and attended Coredesville Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are, her husband, Clyde Gaskins; a daughter, Stephanie G. Nesbitt of Bethera; two sons, Wallace Gaskins of Bethera and Perry C. Gaskins of Moncks Corner; two sisters, Hazel Sweatman of Moncks Corner and Mary Howard of Georgetown; and three grandchildren, Corey Gaskins, Logan Nesbitt and Aaron Nesbitt.

BUCKLES, JR., Ernest
KINGSTREE - Ernest Edward Buckles, Jr., 77, died Tuesday in a Florence hospital.
Mr. Buckles was born in Williamsburg Co., a son of the late Ozellia Baylor Buckles and Ernest E. Buckles, Sr. He was a graduate of Williamsburg Co. schools and served in the U.S. Navy during W.W.II. Mr. Buckles retired as Line Crew Foreman for Santee Electric Co-op and was a member and former Deacon of Midway Presbyterian Church. He was a member of Kingstree Masonic Lodge #46, A.F.M., the American Legion and the V.F.W.
Surviving, his wife, Mrs. Lena Mae Duke Buckles of Kingstree; two sons, Michael Edward Buckles of Surfside Beach and Duke LaFattee Buckles of Kingstree; one daughter, Reta B. (Steve) McCrackin of Florence; two grandchildren, Shannan McCrackin and Blane McCrackin, both of Florence; three brothers, Pete Buckles and Jack Buckles, both of Columbia and Carlton (Dickie) Buckles of Hartsville; two sisters, Louise B. Huffstetler of Gaffney and Joyce B. McLaughlin of Charleston. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, in the WILLIAMSBURG FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, with the Rev. Dr. Rodney Foster and Rev. L.J. Shuman officiating. Burial will be in Midway Presbyterian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Midway Church.

KENDALL, Patricia
The relatives and friends of Patricia Ann Kendall, who passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2002, are invited to attend her memorial service this afternoon at 1 o'clock at Bethany United Methodist Church, Summerville. A memorial service for Mildred "Millie" Ann Keane of North Charleston, who died October 18, 2002, will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2002, at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd. (Hwy. 52), Goose Creek. preceded in death in February by her mother, Jean Keane, she is survived by her father Dennis Keane of Hollywood, Fla., two sons, Frankie Mixon of Pinopolis, S.C., and Chuck Mixon of Goose Creek, S.C.; two daughters, Yvonne Asher of Kingsland, Texas, and Krystal Asher of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Keane Holcomb and Kelly Keane Priest both of Goose Creek, S.C.; a nephew, Tim Baker of Goose Creek, S.C.

Tammy Lynn Adkins, 38, of Summerville, died suddenly, Sunday, November 24, 2002. She was born April 21, 1964, in Ft. Pierce, Fla. preceded in death by her father Martin J. Hacker, on November 2, 2001, she is survived by her husband Michael T. Adkins of Summerville, S.C.; a daughter, Tiffany Nichole Adkins of Summerville, S.C.; two sons, Michael T. Adkins, Jr., and Brandon Scott Adkins, both of Summerville, S.C.; a granddaughter, Alexis Elaine Adkins of Summerville, S.C.; her mother, Hazel N. Hacker of Goose Creek, S.C.; a sister, Kelly J. Lovette and two nephews, Cameron and Seth Lovette, all of Goose Creek, S.C. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2002, from 6 to 8 p.m., at MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 100 S. Goose Creek, Blvd. (Hwy. 52), Goose Creek, S.C. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2002, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Goose Creek, 141 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, S.C. WALKER, Delia
Mrs. Delia Walker entered into eternal rest on Monday evening, November 25, 2002, at 397 Sumter St. She is the beloved mother of Mrs. Lessie Mae Yeadon (Robert) and the late Lewis Felder; grandmother of Deborah Ramsey (Charles), Jerome Yeadon, Sharon Thompson (Marion), Jerry Felder, Helen Felder, Vanessa Yeadon, Randy Yeadon (Shonte), and Annel Judge. Funeral arrangements will be announced by DOROTHY'S HOME FOR FUNERALS (843) 722-0268.

THAMES, Suzie
SUMMERTON, SC - Mrs. Carol Suzanne Starnes Thames, 32, of 1088 Edisto Dr., Summerton, SC died Monday, November 25, 2002 in a Columbia hospital from injuries sustained in a horse riding accident.
The funeral will be 11 AM Friday, November 29, 2002 in the chapel of AVINGER FUNERAL HOME OF HOLLY HILL, SC with Rev. Terry Poston and Rev. Harold Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Gooch family cemetery.
Mrs. Thames was born in Lancaster County a daughter of Carol Gooch Hills and the late Robert L. Starnes, Jr. She attended Clarendon Hall Academy and Santee Christian School. She was a member of Lake Marion Christian Fellowship.
Survivors are husband, Marion Thames of the home; her mother of Holly Hill, SC; daughters, Melody McDonald of Rochester, NY and Lori Elliott of Eutawville, SC; brother, Robert Starnes of Summerton, SC; maternal grandmother, Hettie T. Gooch of Summerton, SC; and paternal grandmother, Evelyn Starnes of Lancaster, SC.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday, Nov. 28 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Wilson’s Disease Foundation, 4 Navaho Dr., Brookfield, CT 06804.

WALKER, Julia
Entered into eternal rest on the morning of November 26, 2002, Julia Knight Walker, widow of Sidney Lewie Walker. Residence, North Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Thursday at eleven o’clock in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Interment will be private. Friends may call at Stuhr’s Downtown Chapel Wednesday between six and eight o’clock.
Mrs. Walker was born September 3, 1912, in Springfield, SC. She was an Entrepreneur and an avid bridge player.
She is survived by one son: Sidney Lewie Walker, Jr. of St. Simons Island, Georgia; two daughters: Juliann W. Moore of Summerville, SC and Martha Delores Walker of North Charleston, SC; one grandson and two granddaughters; and her dog and partner, Doo Dah.

NEMETH, JR., Stephen
The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Alexander Nemeth, Jr. are invited to attend the funeral services of the former in J.
