Johnny Lee Bellinger entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 18, 2001. He died in a Summerville hospital. Residence, Cottageville, S.C. He was 47.

Jeanne Juliette Remy Nail, 76, wife of Daniel B. Nail of James Island, died Thursday, October 18, 2001, in a Charleston hospital. Mrs. Nail was born Tuesday, November 25, 1924, in Ensival, Belgium, the daughter of Andre and Eugenie Galas Remy. She graduated from the schools of Belgium. Surviving are her husband of Charleston; a daughter, Danielle N. Campbell; a son, Paul Andre Nail; seven grandchildren, Nicole White, Paula Blair, Kelly Campbell, Helen Campbell, James Campbell, Daniel Nail and Giabrielle Johnson; five great-grandchildren, Alyssa White, Bailey Johnson, Taylor White, Heather Chavis and Logan Campbell. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel B. Nail are invited to attend the Funeral Mass for the latter at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2001, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Folly Beach. STURKIE, Daniel
NORTH, S.C. - Mr. Daniel Onan Sturkie, age 81, died Wednesday, October 3, 2001.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2001, at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jack Poole officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Sturkie was born in Orangeburg, a son of the late Dr. Daniel Richard and Effie Olivia Riley Sturkie. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of World War II; retired owner of Dan-Rich Furniture in West Columbia; retired farmer; member of Masonic Lodge #119; Omar Shriner; American Legion Post #12, and was a member of Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marshall Aiken Sturkie of North; daughters, Gwendolyn Olivia Sturkie of Atlanta, Ga., and Madeline Rose Sturkie of Mt. Pleasant; sons, Daniel Richard Sturkie, II, of Alaska and James Aiken Sturkie of Waynesboro, Ga.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Arrangements at CULLER-MCALHANY FUNERAL HOME IN NORTH.

MESSERVY, Betty
Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of October 17, 2001, Betty C. Messervy, wife of Don A. Messervy. Residence, Charleston, S.C. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Don A. Mrs. Messervy was born July 11, 1932, in Myers, S.C., the daughter of Henry Burnett Clark and Onez Avant Clark. She was a graduate of St. John's High School. She provided loving care through the South Carolina Foster Parent Association and the South Carolina Home Share Program.
She is survived by her most loved husband of Charleston, S.C. She was a very loving, giving and devoted mother to, two daughters, Donna Messervy Clark and her husband Richard of Shelby, N.C., and Cindy Messervy Sanders and her husband Frank of Charleston, S.C.; two sons, Alvin Messervy and his wife Susan S. of Holly Hill, S.C., and Craig Messervy and his wife Susan C. of Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Lottie Mae Wall of Charleston, S.C.; one brother, Henry Burnett Clark, "Jr." of Johns Island, S.C.; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Burnie Messervy.
Memorials may be made to Lowcountry Foster Children, 844 Duck Hawk Retreat, Charleston, S.C. 29412.

GEDDINGS, Dewey
LANE, S.C. - Dewey Geddings, 82, died Wednesday at his residence.
Mr. Geddings was born in Sumter County, a son of the late William C. Geddings and Mrs. Dora Christmas Geddings. He attended Paxville and Lane schools and was a retired farmer and merchant. Mr. Geddings was an Army veteran of W.W.II and a member of Lane United Methodist Church.
Surviving are, his wife, Mrs. Mary Cooper Geddings of Lane; three daughters, Maxine Ranta of Federal Way, Wash., Gail Haddock of Kingstree, and Carol Newton of Andrews; one brother, Ernest Geddings of Charleston; two sisters, Frances McCutchen and Elizabeth Dennis, both of Columbia; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, in Lane United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Union Presbyterian Cemetery, directed by WILLIAMSBURG FUNERAL HOME. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lane United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Fletcher was born in Charleston, S.C., a daughter of Henry Merrick Tovey and Annie Renneker Tovey. She was an Episcopalian.
Surviving are, a daughter, Marion McKinney of Charleston, S.C.; two sons, John D. Fletcher, Jr., and Richard T. Fletcher, both of Charleston, S.C.; a brother, Robert Samuel Tovey of Atlanta, Ga. Ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Lorraine Beatrice Ross, 57, of Summerville, SC died October 14, 2001 at her residence. Memorial services will be held at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday afternoon, October 21, 2001 at 2:00 o'clock. Entombment will be in Summerville (Parks) Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 3896 Leeds Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405-7443. Mrs. Ross was born October 5, 1945 in Boston, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Karl Axtman and the late Lucinda M. Barrow Axtman. She was a retired psychiatric aide with the State of Maine Department of Mental Health. Survivors include three daughters, Michelle Ross and Melinda Houston, both of Summerville, SC and Virginia Catruch of Naples, Maine; three sons, Karl Ross, Glynn Ross and Daniel Ross of Bridgeton, Maine. BEAZER, Daisy
Daisy Goff Crosby Beazer, 75, widower of Ulysses Crosby and Montique Beazer, died October 16, 2001 in New York.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 20, 2001, in Sykes Savannah United Methodist Church in Ruffin. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Beazer, a daughter of the late Viola Goff Lingard was born in Colleton County. She received her early education in the public schools of Colleton County and was a member of Sykes Savannah United Methodist Church.
Surviving are: two sons, Clinton Crosby (Alice), Williams, S.C. and Jerry Beazer, New York; two daughters, Lillie Mae Felder, Walterboro and Pamela Beazer, New York; one uncle, Rev. Mack Goff, Ruffin and two aunts, Ethel Sharpe and Ruthie Aiken, both of Ruffin, several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
