born in New York he was a son of George Lempp and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Springfield.
Survivors include, Pam and Mack Kennerly, Audie and Tracy Cooper, Harold and Corean Bell. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bartie Barr.

Graveside Funeral Services for Sandra Modgling McNeely, 57, of Williston, SC will be held two pm Sunday, November 28, 2010 at the Williston cemetery with the Reverend Charles Morris officiating. Sandra passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010
born in Barnwell County she was a daughter of the late Sidney and Alice Owens Modgling.
She formerly worked at the University of South Carolina, Aiken in the cafeteria and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Dwight David McNeely; son, Thomas Billy Givens; daughter, Jami-Lee Brown; aunt, Pearle Benedict; brother in laws, Freddie and Alton McNeely; sister in law, Susie Kay McNeely. She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley M. Dunbar and brother, Jimmy Modgling.

Funeral services for Freddie M. Cothran, 83, of Williston, SC will be held three p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Walhalla, SC with the Rev. Floyd Dukes officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from five to six p.m., at Folk Funeral Home, Williston and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be sent to Williston Presbyterian Church, Organ Fund, P.O. Box 391, Williston, SC 29853. Mr. Cothran passed away Sunday at his home.
born in Westminster, SC he was a son of the late Clarence G. Cothran and Zellia Suttles Cothran. He was a US Army veteran, his unit was first to arrive in Nagasaki after the bombing in Japan during WWII. Mr. Cothran worked at E.I. DuPont in construction in Aiken, Camden, Florence and Indianapolis, IN. He was a charter member of the Williston Jaycees, American Legion Post #75, Hope Masonic Lodge # 126, served on Barnwell County Airport Commission, was owner/operator of Williston Metal Works from 1969 to 2008 and was a member of Williston First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Hardy Cothran of the home; son, Bob Cothran of Williston; sisters, Betty C. Morrow of Seneca, SC and Rachel C. (Harold) King of Wrightsville Beach, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased in death by sisters, Mary Ann Pickens and Sally C. Honea; brothers, Frank C., Billy G., and C. G. Cothran.

Funeral Services for Brenda Joyce Kennedy Anderson, 62, of Barnwell, will be held two p.m. Wednesday November 10, 2010 at the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston, SC with the Rev. Bob Scroggs officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from six until eight p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Barnwell County Memorial cemetery by the airport. Ms. Anderson passed away Saturday November 6, 2010.
born in Barnwell County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Levi Kennedy and Sara Briggs Kennedy. Ms. Anderson retired from the Barnwell School District #45 and was a member of the Barnwell First Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughters, Michelle A. (Dennis) Bolen of Williston, Samantha Joyce (Billy) Anderson of Barnwell; son, Charles Eric (Lynn) Anderson of Williston; grandchildren, Jamie Mason Bolen, Ryan Christopher Anderson and Austin Dennis Bolen; special friend, Edward Jeffcoat of Blackville; brother, Benjamin Kennedy of Barnwell; half-sister, Ruby Aubert of Williston. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lilly Ann Belle Richardson; half-brothers, Frank, Wade, Horace and Hamp Sweat.

The family will receive friends after the memorial service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to your favorite charity. Monty passed away October 31, 2010.
born in Abbeville, SC, he was a son of the late Grover M. Davis, Sr. and Daisy Mann Davis. He grew up in McCormick and North, SC. He received his masters degree in Forestry and Environmental Sciences from Duke and taught chemistry and physics at Williston Elko High School for 19 years. His passion in life was hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Elisabeth Davis of the home; sisters, Clara (Bill) Ford, Jennie (Horace) Amaker; stepchildren, Jamey (Angie) Brady, Nancy (Robbie) Wood, Emily (Wesley) Wiles; step-grandchildren, Michael and Taylor Brady, James Wood, Case and Carson Wiles; nephews and nieces; Allen (Jessi) ford, Adair (Brian) Boroughs, Michael (Alysia) Amaker, Suzanne (J.D.) Mrs. Mary entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 19, 2010.
born in Springfield, SC, she was a daughter of the late Spurgeon and Ida Drucilla Livingston Steverson. She was a member of Springfield First Baptist Church and was a retired seamstress.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Funeral service was held Nov. 22, 2010 at Springfield First Baptist Church with burial in the Springfield cemetery. Folk Funeral Home of Williston was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Mary was born in Springfield. She was the daughter of the late Spurgeon and Ida Drucilla Livingston Steverson. born in Bamberg County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Edward Garland Smith and Hazel Neal Smith. She formerly worked at SRP for E.I. DuPont, was an in-home caregiver, a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband Lloyd Eugene Haley of the home; sons, Charles L. Dyches of Williston, Larry L. Dyches of Springfield; sisters, Rena S. King, Evelyn “Skeet” (Denny) Doremus both of Columbia; grandson, Clifford H. (Heidi) Dyches of North Augusta and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Tuesday, January 25th at Folk Funeral Home, Williston. Mr. Gleaton passed away Saturday, January 22, 2011.
born in Barnwell County, he was a son of the late Euley Gleaton and Rodie Wells Gleaton. He was a truck driver, construction worker, a night watchman at Paul Jones Lumber Co., a US Army Veteran having served in WW II and a member of Pine Hill Freewill Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Elizabeth Chavis Gleaton; daughters, Effie Lee Beaman, Helen Elizabeth Remus, Dianne Schrock; sons, Bobby Lee Gleaton, Gregary Gleaton; sisters, Mattie Gleaton, Inez Williams, Annie Lou Hartley, Peggy Yon; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Paul Anderson Gleaton, Jr., grandson, Stephen Christopher Gleaton; sisters, Mary Magdalene Proctor, Marie Proctor, Rodie Cornelious Gleaton, Azilee Collins, Mammie Proctor; brothers, Charlie Gleaton, Euley Gleaton, Jr., Oscar Gleaton and Allen Gleaton.

Mrs. Tarrance passed away January 9, 2011 in Beaufort, SC. She was born in Greenwood, SC on June 6, 1927; she was a daughter of the late Roland Langdon Crowe and Lazanika Christian Crowe. She graduated from Greenwood High School and worked for Southern Bell, Siebels Bruce and S & S Cafeterias throughout the Southeast. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Beaufort.
Mrs. Tarrance is predeceased by her husband, Gregg Smith Tarrance and a son, Steve Allen Tarrance. She is survived by three sons, Nolan (Penny) Tarrance of Beaufort, SC, Roland Tarrance of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Bratton (Jane) Tarrance of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren, Gregg N. (Gretchen) Tarrance of Columbia, James Tarrance, Kelsey and Steve Tarrance of Beaufort, SC, Stacy Nicole Tarrance of Sacramento, CA and a great grandchild, Mia of Sacramento, CA.

born in Williston, SC, she was a daughter of the late Matthew Smith Lott and Olive Porter Lott and was married to the late James Brantley Kitchings, Jr. She attended Columbia Business School and retired from the Richland County Solicitor’s Office having worked for more than 20 years.
Survivors include a daughter, Marcia K. (Ron) Hackney of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; a son, James R. “Jim” (Julie) Kitchings of Tennille, GA; sisters, Patty (Ted) Craig, June (Don) Bolton, Jo (Larry) Fail; grandchildren, Tricia Campbell Ross, Brantley W. Campbell, Jarrett Kitchings, Jenna Kitchings; great grandchildren, Ethan, Anna Caroline, Jaci, Colton and Brantley. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lott Smith.

Mary Alma Sons Bolin, 91, of Salley, a devout Christian and believer in God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 20, 2011. Funeral services will be held two p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the Salley Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Proveau officiating. Burial will be in the Salley Oakview cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel W. Brown, Courtney W. Brown, Jr., Jerry Allen Bolin, Jr., Larry D. Bolin, Sr., W. Randy Livingston and Charles E. Livingston. The family will receive friends from six to eight p.m., Friday, January 21st at Folk Funeral Home, Williston, SC.
born in Leesville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Henry Edwards Sons and Maybelle Allewine Sons and was married to the late Daniel Benjamin Bolin. She was a seamstress having retired from Salley Manufacturing Company, was a member of Salley Baptist Church for 65 years and was a member of the TEL Sunday School Class. A loving and caring mother, kind and gentle who tended the sick and needy and never met a stranger and she loved all the people in her hometown of Salley. She will be missed.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lou Livingston and her husband William of Aiken, SC; grandchildren, Daniel W. (Andrea) Brown of Ridge Spring, Wanda R. Brown of Salley, Courtney W. Jeannette Williamson and Brenda Walker. She was predeceased in death by a son, Jerry Allen Bolin, Sr.; sisters, Gertrude S. Bolin, Essie Bolin and Eunice Barr.

Survivors include a daughter Barbara Faye Carroll Shaffer and her husband Steve of Columbia; a son, George Aubrey Carroll of Williston; grandchildren, Brandt (Jeannie) Shaffer, Scott (Misty) Shaffer, Wayne Carroll, Randy Carroll, Mark (Eloise) Carroll; great grandchildren, Kevin, Kimberly (Randy), Stewart (Kelly), Austin, Cameron, Parker, Sadie, Sydnie Alana and Cass Weston. She was predeceased by a sister, Linnie Mae Spires and brothers, Dalton and Samuel Jesse Jones.

She was a graduate of Limestone College, was a retired public school teacher having taught in Barnwell and Richland counties and Columbia College.
Survivors include her daughter, Jean Hartzog Presley, son-in-law, Doyle Presley; granddaughters, Lauren Boynton Presley and Ashton Elizabeth Presley all of Marietta, Ga.

born in Waco, TX, she was a daughter of Lois Williams Carroll and the late Granvel Carroll. She formerly attended First Church of God in Campbellsville, KY and worked at the Biddie Banquet in Orangeburg.
Survivors include her husband, Murray C. Douglas of the home, her mother of Campbellsville, KY; step-daughter, Susan Marie Lloyd; step-son, William Murray Douglas and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
