Elizabeth Davis Driver

87 year old Elizabeth Davis Driver of District Heights, Maryland died Thursday at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She was a Baptist and a member of the Herbs Society of Prince George County. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Kenneth Massey will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruno and Orbie Mae Brent Davis; her husband, Roy Driver; a grandson, Perry D. Driver, Jr.; and three brothers, Charles Davis, T.B. Davis, and Don Davis. She is survived by a daughter, Regina Driver of Maryland. One son and daughter-in-law, Perry and Patricia Davis of Florida. Four grandchildren, Keith Terrell of Florida, Christine Grimes and Melissa Hatcherson both of Maryland, and Charles Kendrick of Arizona. Eight great grandchildren, Teresa Davison of Florida and Patricia Terrell of West Virginia, Kinsey and Jillian Hatcherson, Coby and Taybor Grimes all of Maryland, Austin Kendrick of Arizona, and Summer Wilson of Maryland. One sister, Lavelle Smith of Smithville. One brother, Roger Davis of Smyrna. Love-Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Dona Mai Turner

91 year old Dona Mai Turner of McMinnville Highway in the Highland Community died Wednesday at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville. She was born in Warren County. Turner was a homemaker and a member of the Highland Church of Christ. The funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Robert Moss and Glendon Cantrell will officiate and burial will be in the Corinth cemetery in DeKalb County. The Turner family will receive friends on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Sallie Cope; her husband, James Norman Turner; a daughter, Yvonne Turner; a brother, Rayburn Cope; and a sister, Mary Cope. Survivors include her sisters, Gladys Cole of McMinnville and Belle Rankhorn and Martha Rankhorn both of Smithville. Special niece, Brenda Young and special nephew, Doug Pack, and several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends. McMinnville Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Louise Moore Moss

82 year old Louise Moore Moss of Woodbury died Thursday at the Carestone Assisted Living Center in Chattanooga. She was born in Lawrenceburg. Moss was a Baptist, a member of the Eastern Star, and a retired RN at the Alvin C. York V.A. Medical Center. A graveside service will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Bobby Nichols will officiate and burial will be in DeKalb Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Eva Gray Youngblood of Woodbury. Nieces, Cortilla Fann of Woodbury, Linda Eller of Chattanooga, Kathleen Dunn of Phoenix, Arizona, and Betty Depew of Midland Texas, and several great and great great nieces and nephews. Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Darlene Young Foster

72 year old Darlene Young Foster died Sunday at Cedars Health Care Center in Lebanon.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Partlow Funeral Chapel in Lebanon. Greg Dunham, Michael Brauner, & Pat Eller will officiate and burial will be in Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Partlow Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Foster was a member of the Siloam Missionary Baptist Church and a retired employee of Lux Clock Company. She was preceded in death by parents, Barney & Lillie Adcock Young; husband, Carl Foster; brothers, David Young, Eugene Young, & Hilbert Young; and sister-in-law, Versie Young. She is survived by son, Todd and wife Michelle Foster of Lebanon; daughter, Teresa and husband Carl Earps of Lebanon; grandchildren, Michelle and husband Shane Follis, Steven Earps, & Jessica Earps; great grandchildren, Austin Follis, Jackson Follis, & Bryler Follis; sister-in-law, Wilma Young; niece, Delena Ackerson; and nephews, Norman Young & Jeff Young. Ike G. Hobson

83 year old Ike G. Hobson of Ardmore, Tennessee died Monday at his residence. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama. Edd Templeton and Debby Eubanks will officiate and burial will be in the Gatlin cemetery in Ardmore, Alabama. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at the Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home. Hobson was born in Liberty to Auburn Hobson and Calysta Atwell Hobson. He and his family moved from Smithville to Ardmore in 1963. He was a member of the Ardmore United Methodist Church, CEO of the Bank of Ardmore until his retirement in 1989, and he was a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, VFW, and organizer of the Elk River Development Board. Hobson was also co-founder of the WSLV radio station in Ardmore, Tennessee, a member of the Tennessee Bankers Association, and a director of the Bank of Perry County. He served in the U.S. Navy and was wounded on the USS Montpelier during World War II. Hobson was an active Mason and he organized the Ardmore Industrial Develoment Board. In addition to his parents, Hobson was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Hobson and a sister, Doris Gentry. He is survived by his wife, Johnnie Hobson of Ardmore, Tennessee. A son, Randy and his wife Kathy Hobson of Fayetteville. A daughter, Cynthia and her husband, Gerry Shannon of Huntsville, Alabama. Five grandchildren, Heidi and husband John Richardson, Auburn and wife Jill Hobson, Anna Lindsey and husband Jason Keen, and Kylie and Haley Shannon. The family requests that donations be made to the Ardmore United Methodist Church Parsonage Fund at Ardmore, Tennessee, 38449. Armore Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. 81 year old Jo Puckett Bradford died Tuesday night at her residence in Smithville. She was a member of the Buckner's Chapel United Methodist Church and she attended Trinity Assembly in Algood. Bradford was a grocery store worker and she worked in a shirt factory. The funeral will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Jim Moore will officiate and burial will be in the Puckett Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elbridge Kiah and Bonnie Elizabeth Tittsworth Puckett; a son, Alan Bradford; and brothers, Wilburn and Ernest Puckett. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Ralph Bradford of Smithville. Children, Greg and his wife Gina Bradford of Smithville and Terry and her husband Hugh Davenport of Celina. A daughter-in-law, Suzanne Bradford of Smithville. Grandchildren, Brad Davenport, Jennifer Langford, Matt Davenport, Mandy Davenport, Chase Bradford, Cory Bradford, Alli Bradford, Adam Lindsey, and Matthew Lindsey. Great grandchildren, Isaiah, Nolan, Anaiah, and Emmy. Sisters, Alice Foster and Christine Prichard both of Smithville. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

62 year old Betsy Jean Davis Lynam of Smithville died Saturday night at Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro. She was a nurse and a member of the Whorton Springs Baptist Church. The funeral will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. David Mahan and Michael Hale will officiate and burial will be in the Griffith Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Solon Davis and two brothers, Jimmy and Billy Joe Davis. She is survived by her husband, Ernie Lynam of Smithville. Two children, Nicole and her husband Michael Bird of Murfreesboro and Mark and his wife Roxann Lynam of Murfreesboro. Four grandchildren, Macey and Lola Grace Bird and Reese and Everett Lynam. Her mother, Janice Davis of Smithville. A brother, Mike and his wife Cindy Davis of Nashville. A sister-in-law, Brenda and her husband Jim Jones of Nashville. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. The family requests that donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Whorton Springs Baptist Church building fund in memory of Betsy.

Maggie Birdell Lentz

84 year old Maggie Birdell Lentz of Munford, Tennessee died Saturday at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. She was a Baptist and was retired from Union Planter's Bank. The funeral will be Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Chapel of Love-Cantrell Funeral Home. Anthony Pelham will officiate and burial will be in the New Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 3:30 p.m. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Lentz; parents, Reed and Mary Rankhorn Blankenship; two brothers, Paul and Elzie Blankenship; and three sisters, Delma and Nannie Wright and Lola Griffin. She is survived by a son, Bradley Reed Lentz of Munford. A step-son, Joe Lentz of Utah. A sister-in-law, Geraldine Blankenship of Smithville. 71 year old Martha Ann Kuhn of Rock Island died Monday at River Park Hospital in McMinnville. She was a member of the Friendship The Baptist Church. The funeral will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of High Funeral Home in McMinnville. Steve Breedlove will officiate and burial will be in Skurlock cemetery in White County. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oddis and Martina Haley. Survivors include her husband, Joe Kuhn of Rock Island. A son and daughter-in-law, Kenny and Vera Kuhn of Rock Island. A daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Mike Gunning of Rock Island. Four grandchildren, Tegy and husband Donnie Jaco, Michelle Gunning, Josh Kuhn, and Haley Kuhn all of Rock Island. Three great grandchildren, Keysha Jaco, Brittany Breedlove, and Tyshawn Hefflin. 32 year old Crystal Angel Allen of Crossville died Saturday at her residence. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. The funeral will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at DeKalb Funeral Chapel. Curtis Jones will officiate and burial will be in the Burton-Ponder Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Robert Ballard. Survivors include her husband, Carl Allen of Crossville. Children, Tyler Lee Bennett, Kayla Ashley, Trinity Cole Wheeler, Jacob Kane and Ezra Cage Allen all of Crossville; her mother, Carolyn England of Smithville; grandmother, Ruby Ballard of Smithville; half-brother, Robert England of Smithville; half-sister, Cassie England of Smithville; and an aunt, Sonia Presley of Smithville.
