Edward Berry, who was Secretary-Treasurer of Berry Morticians. Retired Supervisor of House Keeping from Baptist Hospital. Last surviving member of the George Frank and Amelia Parsons Rule family of Sevier County. Daughter and Son-in-law, Nancy B. and Eddie Lee, Halls; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. David A. and Cheryl Berry, Seymour, Fred O. Jr. and Marilyn Berry, Knoxville; daughter-in-law, Mrs. G. Edward (Shirley) Berry, Knoxville; grandchildren, Michael Scott, Fred O. Berry, III, Kimberlin Buchanan, Timothy E. Berry, Leigh Ann Berry, Jeffrey B. Berry, Jennifer Berry, Drew Berry, Julie Berry, Christy Berry; five great-grandchildren. Funeral 1 p.m. Tuesday at Berry Chapel, Dr. Doug White, Rev. Paul Huling officiating. Interment Mt. Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers: Michael Scott, Fred O. Berry, III, Timothy Berry, Jeffrey Berry, Drew Berry, James Buchanan. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Monday Berry Funeral Home.

Glenn Mulkey officiating. Interment 10am Tuesday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8pm Monday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy.

John Ferrell Nichols, Sr.

Nichols, John Ferrell Sr., age 77, South Knoxville, passed away November 1, 1998. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII and a former Deacon of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a retired crane operator at Union Carbide, Lockheed-Martin and TVA. He was once active and still much beloved in local metaphysical groups. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Sealand Nichols. Daughter: Brenna Katherine Nichols Memorial graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday November 3, 1998 at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Rev. David Lancaster will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Knox Area Rescue Ministries, 511 N. Broadway, or First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 6900 Nubbin Ridge Road, Knoxville 37919. Arrangements by Roberts Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2112 Magnolia Avenue.

Rufus Atchley Brown, Sr.
