He served as past president of Knox County 4-H Horse and Pony Project, past president of Halls Community Park, and was honored as "Halls Man of the Year." He had also received community service awards from Sertoma Club and Martin Marietta. He was the owner and developer, along with his partner Randy Nicely, of Nine Oaks Sub-Division in Halls. Wife: Joyce E. Wells The family will receive friends Saturday 6:00-8:00 P.M. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Lynnhurst Greenwood Chapel with Chris Francis, Dr. James Robertson, and Dennis Blazier officiating.
