Pauline Leona Ogle Barnes, 70, of Sevierville passed away Thursday, October 31, 2002 suddenly at Fort Sanders-Sevier Medical Center. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Wilson and Omie Katherine Ogle; infant son Jimmy Duran Ogle; brother Grant Ogle; sisters Mildred Carr, Viola Headrick and Lou Hatfield. Survivors: Son: James Barnes and Debbie Ogle Daughter: Janice Raper and husband Mike Granddaughters: Jody Snyder and husband Bill, Cindy Raper, Becky Raper Great-grandchildren: Keegan Welborn, Melody Snyder Sisters: Dot Odom, Mary Sutton Brother: Bob Ogle Funeral service 2 PM Sunday in the East Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. David Ogle officiating. Interment will follow in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Saturday at Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.

Mays, Dewey Edward "Bud", age 68, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2002 from a lingering illness. He was retired from University of Tennessee Medical Center. Preceded in death by father, Martin George Mays; mother, Dora Hockenjos Mays; sister, Ella Mae Ogle; brothers, William, Gene, Jay, and Jack Mays. Loving companion of 21 years, Betty Jo of Knoxville; daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Eric Barnes of Wenatchee, Washington; daughter, Karen Mays of Wenatchee, Washington; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Tammie Mays of Sevierville; step-son and wife, Donnie and Karen Trentham of Dandridge; step-son and wife, Denny and Teresa Trentham of Powell; grandchildren: Ashley Salgado, A.J. Mays, Melissa Mays, Mendi Mays, Melissa Trentham, and Joseph Trentham; sisters: Joyce Strevel and Alice Trent, both of Knoxville; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Mack Grigsby of Powell; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Rae Mays of Seymour. Family and friends will meet on Monday at 10:45 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery for interment services at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Ron Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.

Retired from the University of Tennessee. Served as a Pink Lady at Baptist Hospital. Preceded in death by husband, J. Cal Davenport. Son Tommy and wife, Jenny Davenport; step-daughter, Wilma Brown; grandchildren: Kim and husband, David Stallings; Brad and wife, Sandy Davenport; Jill and husband, Donnie Day; great-grandchildren: Brett, Derek, Drew, Devin and Dawson; sister, Ethel Price; numerous friends and other relatives. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hillcrest South Nursing Home for their loving care and devotion. Funeral service Thursday 11:00 a.m., Berry Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. C. Dennis Ford officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. He was a member of the Elks Club and was retired from the City of Gatlinburg. Mr. Bradley owned a wrecker service and car lot for many years. She was a member of New Hope Church of God and was preceded in death by her mother Betty Huggins. Survivors include: Husband: Darryl Frazier Daughter: Kristi Michelle Frazier Father: Lloyd Huggins Brothers: John and Jeffrey Huggins Sister: Linda Huggins Becky was loved by many in return for her endless love and compassion she showed for others. A memorial service will be held 7 PM Thursday, Sept. 12 at New Hope Church of God in Sevierville with Pastor Tom Sterbens officiating. Arrangements by Atchley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to BB & T Bank to benefit Darryl and Becky’s daughter Kristi, for her college education.

She was a member of Luretta Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, and Woodmen of the World Lodge 101. Well known for her cooking, she was employed by Temple’s for over 47 years until her health forced her to retire four years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Swann, parents, Willie and Sally Tipton, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Survivors: Son: Jim L. Swann Daughter and Son-in-law: Willa Mae and John Finchum, Jr. Granddaughter: Johnna Finchum Yarberry and husband Rick Yarberry, Jr. Foster Grandson: Michael Frazier Great Grandson: Michael Eldridge, Jr. Great Granddaughters: Jennifer, Brittni, and Courtni Eldridge Sister: Elizabeth Carter Brother-in-law: Charles Thomas Sister-in-law: Leoda Swann Whaley A host of nieces and nephews and very special friends Funeral service 7:30 PM Monday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev.
