Jason Andrew Wise
Jason Wise, 32, died July 28, 2003. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 31, 10 a.m., at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Pastor John Bledsoe officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends today, July 30, 2-4 p.m. and 5-9 p.m. Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Franklyn Wise and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Drake.
He is survived by his parents, Forrest and Judy Wise; brothers, Frank (Sandra) Wise, Chris (Donna) Wise, Mark (Sheilah) Wise; niece, Christie Wise; nephews, Forrest Wise V, Kaleb Wise, Jacob Wise and Kyler Wise. The family would like to say a special thanks to his friends and employees of CEI, the nursing staff at St. Thomas Hospital and the Tennessee Titans online message board. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jason Wise Memorial Fund, c/o AmSouth Bank of Hendersonville.
Hendersonville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Carl W. Walker
Carl W. Walker, 63, of Springfield, died Friday, May 23, 2003.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 25 at 2 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Jeffrey Gaskins officiating.
The interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Walker was born June 1, 1939, in Durham, N.C., to the late Henry and Gracie Clemmons Walker.
He was the owner and operator of Walker Hardware, Springfield Electrical and Plumbing and Walker Supply in Portland.
Mr. Walker attended Springfield Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pat Price Walker of Springfield; sons and daughter-in-law, Terry and JaNelda Walker of Springfield, and David Walker of Springfield; daughter and son-in-law, Gwen and Jeffrey Gaskins of Springfield; brothers, Michael Walker of Charleston, S.C., and Roger Walker of Greensboro, N.C.; a sister, Linda Rhodes of Greensboro, N.C.; 10 grandchildren.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

William M. Lassiter Jr.
William McKinley “Willie” Lassiter Jr., 78, of Greenbrier, died Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at Beverly Healthcare Center.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, May 23 at 1 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Grinstead officiating.
The interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lassiter was born March 1, 1925, in Princeton, Ky., to the late William M. and Katie Ruth Templeton Lassiter Sr.
He was retired from Co-op where he was a tow motor operator.
Mr. Lassiter was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Ridgetop.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Lassiter, brothers, Leroy and Randall Lassiter and by a sister, Isabell Kemper.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Burgess Lassiter of Greenbrier; a daughter, Debbie Reynolds of Ridgetop; stepsons, Thomas Kimmons of Hendersonville and Nicky Kimmons of Greenbrier; brothers, Robert Lassiter and Tony Lassiter, both of Greenbrier; sisters, Dora Ferguson and Peggy Honeycutt, both of Goodlettsville, Vivian Faye of Greenbrier, Joann Evans of Mt. Juliet, and Jean Spillers of Flordia; seven grandchildren.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Head Moore
Dorothy Head Moore, 86, of Springfield and formerly of Madison, died Monday, May 19, 2003, at Elm Hurst Nursing Home.
Funeral Mass was conducted Thursday, May 22 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Ed Steiner as celebrant.
Interment followed in the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville.
Mrs. Moore was born Aug. 24, 1916, in Nashville to the late Harrison and Versha Curtis Head.
She was a retired executive secretary for the Tennessee Crop Improvement Services.
Mrs. Moore was a communicant of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Nashville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry W. Moore and by her daughter, Barbara Moore Jones.
Mrs. Moore is survived by grandchildren, Beverly Briggs, Debbie O’Brien, Susan Owens, and Mike Jones, all of Springfield, Laurie Grady of Deland, Fla., and Mike Jones of Springfield; a son-in-law, Arthur “Sonny” Jones of Springfield; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Robertson County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Joe Thomas Traughber
Joe Thomas Traughber, 69, died Thursday, May 22, 2003, at NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield.
Graveside services for Mr. Traughber were held Saturday, May 24 at 3 p.m. in Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Traughber was retired as district manager with Cumberland Electric Membership Cooperative in Portland where he served for 35 years.
In addition to his work service he was a Korean War veteran with the U. S. Navy.
He was born in Cross Plains on April 13, 1934, to the late Lloyd R. and Mary Lou Fyke Traughber.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Eli Traughber of Springfield; a son, Joe Mac Traughber of Orlinda; two daughters, Mary Lee West of Portland and Sara Ann Louden, of Portland; a sister, Frances Daily of Springfield; step-daughter, Kimberly Halley; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers for the service were Kelt Louden, Al West, Mark Halley, Brandon West, Nathan West and Benjamin West.
Austin & Bell Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.

Harold Guy Tackett
Harold Guy Tackett, 82, of Hermitage and formerly of South Point, Ohio, died Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Summitt Medical Center.
Visitation with the family will be from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday (today) at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in White House.
The body will be cremated.
He was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Cabell County, W.Va., the son of Ada and Opie Tackett.
He retired from N.L. Industries and was a member of Burlington Baptist Church in Burlington, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Dillion Tackett and a brother, Ronnie Tackett.
Survivors include two sons, Timothy Tackett of Hermitage and Mike (Sherry) Tackett of White House; five grandchildren, Brain Neal, Eric Tackett, Jennifer Holman, Cynthia Kabat, Amanda Tackett; four great-grandchildren, Skylar Tackett, Kelsee Holman, Peyton Holman and Erica Tackett.
The family requests donations be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 2144 Fairfax, Nashville, TN 37212.
Austin & Bell Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements.

Ernestine D. Gunn
Ernestine D. Gunn, 87, died Saturday, May 24, 2003, at the Haywood Medical Center in Haywood, N.C.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, May 27 at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Greenbrier, with Rev. Hap Hewgley and Rev. Joel Jones officiating.
Interment followed in Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Gunn was born in Robertson County Sept. 9, 1915, to the late Leonard Ernest and Ora Hackney Dorris.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Anderson Gunn; a grandson, Major Leo Bruce Cayton and a nephew, Terry Dorris.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Walter “Buzz” and Phyllis Gunn of Crossville; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty” and Leo Cayton of Canton, N.C.; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Harriet Dorris of Springfield; three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Andy Cayton, Lyn Cayton, John Cayton Jr. , Tyler Miller, Walter A. Gunn III, Steven Dorris, Jody Swearingen and Tony Dorris.
Honorary pallbearers were Brent Dorris, Joe Smith Dorris, Charlie F. Dorris, Lee Swearingen, Charles Fisher, David Gunn, Dr. Mac Dorris, Jimmy Dorris and Phillip Dorris.
Austin & Bell Funeral Homes were in charge of these arrangements.
